Probably your previous store credit balance was not uptodate. This can be happen if you are using multiple devices for purchases. I would suggest to check your purchase history to find out, what you have purchased and how much it all cost. In your purchase history you will also find the payment method which was used at time of purchase (in case you are using different payment methods). Note: There is no way to check the redeemed iTunes Store gift cards but you can contact Apple support and asked them.

That means it is having trouble connecting to the network. Make sure location is set correctly. Go to settings - general - network and ensure DNS is set to automatic. Check that your router is up to date. If on wifi try Ethernet.

Safari & Firefox having problems with the Apple Store

Hi there,
I'm having issues using the Apple Store I'd really appreciate some help with. Whenever I go there, whether I'm using Firefox or Safari, I always get a pop-up menu come down, even when I haven't clicked on anything. And it won't go away, so I can't see alot of the stuff on the site, making it unusable. It's best described by a screen shot:

The box on the right comes up without me clicking on anything, the activity wheel at the top of it never changes into anything (just keeps spinning round) and there is no 'close' or 'cancel' button to make it go away. If you look at the bottom of the pop-up, you can see it doesn't even render properly.
I called the Apple Store number about this and he said to clear all my private data. I have done that in Safari, as it's not my main browser so doesn't matter to me. In Firefox I have only partially done this; I cleared all cookies, the cache, browsing history, download history, saved form information and authenticated sessions. Neither worked to make the pop-up box go away. I could not face clearing saved passwords or saved sessions (with my Tab Mix Plus add-on) in Firefox, so I'm going to try anything else I can think of to solve this before resorting to that.
I'm guessing this is some problem in the overall system, rather than in either of the browsers, given that they both do it. Would something like Onyx or Cocktail help?
Also, both my browsers are quite old; Firefox is 1.5.0.6 and Safari is 2.0.4... I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but I'm hoping not. With alot of plug-ins and an already overloaded computer, I'd rather not update to the more processor-intensive new versions. I want a new computer soon, so I'm hoping I can put-off updating til then.
So if anyone can tell me what to do, I'd be most grateful. I really need to use the Apple Store to look into what Mac to get to upgrade, and right now I just can't shop properly.

Is anyone having problems with their Apple ID when activating the ip4S?

I'm activating two new iP4S and when I get to the part where it asks for my Apple ID, it tells me that I have my ID/password wrong. I go online to manage my account and when I confirm the security settings, it tells me that I have my birthday wrong.
Is anyone having this problem? I skipped this step just so I can get my phones up and running but currently, no iTunes access or iCloud.
Any recommendations or steps to try?

Do you have email notifications activated? It may have been deactivated when the os updated.
Settings>notification centre mine is set not to show by default.

I've just bought Apple TV and want to mirror whats on my screen on my macbook, iphone 4s and iPad 2 on to my tv screen but it's not working. I can't seem to find the airplay option at all on either of my devices and the logo when it is an option is also not appearing. Any help on this would be great!

Is Airplay enabled on Apple TV? Are all devices up to date?
What model is your computer, mirroring requires it to be 2011 or later. It also needs to be running 10.8

All apps are tied to the apple ID that originally downloaded or bought them.
If you change apple IDs, you will still need to use the old apple ID and password to update the apps.
Only solution is to delete the apps and buy them again under the new ID.

Is anyone having problems with the new Xerox printer driver update from Apple? My 8700S is no longer working with QuarkXPress.

I allowed a System Update that included a Xerox Printer update. I am running a MacPro 10.6.8 with Quark 8.5.1 and a Xerox ColorQube 8700S. EVERY was working perfectly before the "update" but afterwards anything sent to the printer from Quark would stall the printer. I went to the Xerox website and downloaded their Printer Driver and tried again. Now I could print from Quark but I can NOT get to the printer window to change the type of paper, etc. So, the problem still persists.
Should I try going into Time Machine and trying to find the Xerox Print Driver in the Library folder?
Should I upgrade the whole system software? (I wouldn't mind doing that AFTER I get this magazine off to the commerical printer)
Should I upgrade to Quark 9?
Any help here would be apprciated.

As a general rule of thumb, I never install updates until I read its info and I am having problems with my current software. I hide the updates until I need them. Usually this happens when I update or upgrade my os. I don't fix what ain't broken is my golden rule.
It is possible that you need to update or upgrade Quark in order for your newer printer driver to work. First I would try the following....
Disconnect all peripherals from your computer.
Boot from your install disc & run Repair Disk from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
Select your language.
Once on the desktop, select Utility in the menu bar.
Select Disk Utility.
Select the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes, and then click First Aid.
Click Repair Disk.
Restart your computer when done.
Repair permissions after you reach the desktop-http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2963 and restart your computer.
If your printer does not work afterwards, update or upgrade Quark. If that does not work, contact the printer manufacturer.
