Try double-tapping the screen with 3 fingers and see if that zooms it back out - and if it does set Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom 'off'. If it doesn't zoom you back then try triple-clicking the home button and see if that turns it off, and if it does you can then change what a triple-click does via Settings > General > Accessibility > Triple-Click Home.

Ipad "died" mid-app/screen saver and now not responding?

Help!.... I was playing hte latest round of "song pop" app... left the ipad to answer the call of nature, and when I returned, the screen had locked (normal time out i thought)... but now none of the buttons have any effect!..
I can't even turn it off!....
Any ideas, tried plugging in to laptop/itunes, but nothing happens!>.

Having problems with Verizon iPhone 5 using excessive data. Verizon will not help can anyone give me advice? Have family plan never went over 8gb of data in 6 years, now avg 14 a month and are not using anything different other than having iPhone 5.

Switched to iPhone 5 on July 31st. Since then our data usage has doubled. Verizon will not help find out what the problem could be, they claim they are unaware of a problem. I told them to look on the customer support page and many have complained about the problem. Now on the apple site I see it may be an apple problem. Some one needs to fix this. Apple you want us to use your products, please do t make it cost us more money just to do what we did prior without problems. Prior phones were iPhone 4 and we never had issues and never went over 8 gb's for 4 phones. Now we are doing 14. Can anyone tell me what is going on. Well you could Restore it from your backup and see if that helps. If it doesn't Restore it as new and manually add things back until the problem starts again.
I would also suggest trying a different SIM.
Without iOS 7 there is no way to isolate what is using the data.

I am using the thunderbolt port with an adapter for hdmi connecting to a 42" RCA tv from my mid 2012 MacBook Pro 15". I have confirmed that the adapter and the hdmi cable are perfectly fine. I can only connect to a projector on the OS X 10.92 if I keep the displays separate. As soon as I try to use the mirror feature I lose the visual feed. Sound will still go through however.
On my Windows 7 partition the OS can't even detect it is connected to an external display.

The mic on my iPhone4 has just quit also. Similar symptoms to yours in that people I'm talking to hear only static or my voice very faintly. The voice/memo recorder also only really records static.
It happened suddenly and seemed to get better after a day or two but then went completely after another day.
I'm returning it to Vodafone New Zealand shortly but will have to wait 5-10 days for a replacement. There are NO Apple accredited means to speed this procedure up in NZ.
We don't even have a single physical Apple Store where you could walk in and talk to a Genius.

Was it purchased from an official Apple Store, not a reseller? Only Apple Stores sell official factory unlocked phones. The others sell hacked to unlock phones, and the unlocking is unstable.
Try these steps, as needed:
1. Reset phone - press both home and on/off buttons for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
2. Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
3. Replace SIM card (and reset network settings again)
4. Restore Phone in iTunes using a backup
5. Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup
