Hi. My laptop is still under warranty. It works fine but it makes a loud noise when I turn it on. I tried calling customer service but the Indians dont understand and I dont understand them. Is there someone American I can speak with? Because I need to mail this laptop in to get repaired.

I'm using Mavericks and there are no issues with SKYPE.
I using SKYPE 6.9 and this version is working well without issue.
For some reason I didn't downloaded SKYPE 6.11 I don't know why anymore ... but I'm sure I hat my reasons not to do so.

HPL2208w having problems with new laptop.

I have a HPL2208w 22inch monitor which seems to be playing up on my new Dell laptop. The laptop only has a HDMI port so i am connecting the vga cable from the monitor to the Dell via an adapter.
The screen shows for a few minutes and requests that the range (i assume resolution) be changed to 1680x1650. For some reason i cannot change the setting of the laptop to that. When i do change to that resolution (only if the monitor is sole output and not dual output) the warning message remains on the screen and the screen is not at its best (clarity wise).
The Dell runs Win 7 64bit but the monitor worked on my previous Dell with the same version of Windows (with a VGA connection).

I understand you are having issues with the resolution on the HP L2208w 22" Monitor and a Dell laptop. Unfortunately, as the Monitor does not have options that you can change in regard to the resolution (this is sent from the laptop) I would suggest that you try the Dell Forums for an answer.

Our home network has multiple devices connected by iCloud. Having problem with Calendar. On one iMac, all the events are duplicated. How can I correct that problem? Under the Calendar accounts, I had my Apple id listed and also just iCloud.

Our home network has multiple devices connected by iCloud: 2 iMacs, 2 iPhone 4s, 1 MacPro Laptop, and 1 iPad 2. When using Calendar, all the events were
duplicated on my husbands iMac. On his computer, under Calendar accounts, I had included iCloud and also my iCloud ID. I thought that because I had two accounts listed that were connected to iCloud, that might be the cause of the duplication. When I deleted ithe calendars from one of the accounts, it resulted
in deleting all of the events on all of our network devices!
I have since entered some new events into Calendar from my iMac and from my iPhone. These appear correctly on all devices except my husband's iMac where they are again all duplicated.
I have two questions: 1) How can I eliminate the duplicated events on my husband's computer and 2) How do I retrieve the old wiped out Calendar events from
Time Capsule. I don't know how to find Calendar in the Time Capsule. If I find the Calendar information in Time Capsule, how do I transfer it to my current Calendars?
I was obtaining phone help from one of the Apple techs at Apple Support, but our call was disconnected part way through. Didn't know how to reconnect with the tech.

Problems with a G580 which is still in warranty

I bought this laptop in India, with accidental and international warranty, from The Do Store. Then I shifted to Frankfurt, Germany, for my higher studies. But before leaving I noticed that I had issues with the touchpad. I took my laptop to the Lenovo repair centre, where they said I have to leave my laptop for 2 days as the touchpad needs to be replaced. I couldnt do that since I had my flight next day.
Now will the Frankfurt Branch of Lenovo replace this piece of hardware for me please? Also my laptop is incredibly slow, and hangs intermittently. The mouse freezes, the keyboard works, but sometimes the keyboard also doesnt work meaning the whole system hangs.
Currently there is windows 8 installed on this laptop. I am not very pleased with it, so planning on switching to windows 7. Also that should be done after the touchpad is replaced or before that?
Also I owned a thinkpad previously, and had no issues with it for 5 years..
Is it possible that I can trade this model and exchange it for a thinkpad (by paying the overhead) within lenovo, example an exchange offer or something?

Some things to try...
Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself? If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
If you cannot open Reader by itself, try to disable Protected Mode in the registry; download, unzip, then run the attached registry script
It could even be a malware issue; see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html

Thanks, I have been having problems with the wi-Fi connection in the house, it's been intermittent, I can use the internet through Google or Safari on my iPad but can't get these updates done.
I have an engineer coming to check the internet connection tomorrow so this might solve the issue, thanks again.

Having problem with my Macbook Air audio

Hi everyone. I'm just joined this forum because I'm having an issue.
I own a macbook air 13' (2011) and yesterday, I've bought a pair of Beats, as well as upgrade my mac to Mountain Lion from Lion (I'm running OSX 10.8.1)
I've never used any headphone or earbud on my mac before. After I installed Mountain Lion, I plugged my headphone in and notice that, everytime the computer got a sound notification, there're a lot of background noise (or you guys called it static noise or something?) in my headphone even when there's no sound playing. I try to listen some song and the noise's clearly there, especially when I play a song and mute suddenly.
But after a while in silent, the noise gone. I'm confusing. Everytime I make any sound, the noise comes back. Press the mute button, and after a while it's gone.
I've tested my headphone on my ipod and iphone, and it works fine. I think my mac cause that problem. But when I come to Apple Store and ask the Genius bar, they just put on my headphone and nothing's going on. Back home, and it happened. Probably because the store's too noisy, so they can't notice anything?
Now I don't know if Mountain Lion caused it, or it's my macbook itself. So now I'm listening on my iPod, and everything's just fine.
Any suggestion?

Welcome Harry...sounds frustrating. Other than my iPhone being too nearby, I've never had the issue with my MBA...with or w/o headphones, with or w/o the power adapter connected. Sounds like it might be worth a call to AppleCare or a Genius Bar appointment since your MBA is still under warranty. There may be an issue with the power supply itself.
You're probably aware, but MacBooks shouldn't be plugged in other than when they're being charged. More here:

I am having problems with the screen. the graphics look like infrarred and there are stripes in the Blue screen i am using now.

If Demo's suggestions don't help, and the iPad is out of warranty, try giving it a solid smack or two on the back with your knuckles or your palm. Hit where the Apple logo is or just above it, and be firm but not harsh.
Something internal might be a touch loose and a good smack or two may sort things out
