I have a Windows Vista x32, Service Pack 2. If you need any more info just let me know.

If you are trying to run CS6 you might as well accept the fact that 32 bit OS is a thing of the past. It will run the program, but you just will not get the expected features of the program.
Advice now is you need a 64 bit OS, min. 8 gig of RAM, and a reasonably good graphics card with 1 g VRAM.

I will edit, save, and then realize once i've sent it to myself to test the color is WAY off. This only happens in photoshop. I've read some forums and have tried different things, but it seems to be making it worse. PLEASE HELP! Even viewing the saved image on the mac's pic viewer is way off once i've edited in photoshop. I am having to adjust all my colors by emailing myself to test. Its just getting ridiculous.

Check the color space in camera raw, the options are in the link at the bottom of the dialog box. Then when saving make sure you save it to the srgb color space when sending to others. Not all programs understand color space and or will default to srgb. That won't necessarily mean it will be accurate, but it will put it in the ballpark. Using save for web will use the srgb color space.

however, now, I'm having issues after uploading the files to my

Well, I tried that, but the code just looks exactly as it
does in the code viewing pane. No RED characters anywhere! So I
just deleted all the <html>, <head>, and <body>
tags and saved the file.
Now, when I insert the SSI into a new html file (which I
saved as .shtml because that’s what my web hosting provider
requires) everything looks great on my local system, but when I
upload the files to my server and try to test the page with the SSI
inserted into it, I get the following error message:

I'm running MS Office 2011 on Lion and it runs just fine. No "Full Screen", but it runs just fine. There may have been an update to install (I know there was an iWork one anyway), but even before I installed any updates Office '11 worked just fine.

Dragon Writer MS-8348B having some bad problems.

I actually don't have the 8348B, I have a Verbatim but it's the same rebaged drive(BenQ 4816p) and I'm having alot of problems, mostly the same problems that other people are having. The drive initially would recognize some cheap media at 40x MAX but when I tried to write at that speed the drive makes a loud buzzing noise(like really fast clicking), and when it was done writing I look at the media and only see sporatic written dat on it, it's skipping all over the place. When I tried to write at a slower speed(16x) it either writes really slowly (slowing down to 1x or 2x) or it just burns coasters. I have the A.UZ driver, should I expect this to happen continuously or is it just my media that's bad?

I had the exact same thing, I returned it back to the store I bought it from and I'm supposed to get a new one in three weeks.
P.S. Has this drive done it since you bought it or did this just start recently?

NEED HELP HAVING SOME SERIOUS PROBLEMS WITH X-FI PLATI

My sound card is only about 2-3 weeks old and was running fine uptill about a few days ago then it started having some problems the first was it wouldn't play audio in windows media player movie or music, it worked fine using other programs to play movies or music. Another problem I'm gettin is that the volume will be much lower than it should and this doesn't matter what program I use this does go away sometimes although I still dont know what causes it. I'm also getting intermittent sound problems in BF2 like not hearing sound when I switch to rear view which didn't happen before. I've tried trouble shooting it myself but to no avail. I tried installing it on my other hard dri've which is clean but even though I did a full installation it won't even recognize the card and says there is a prolem with the drivers. I can't understand why my sound card won't work on my second hard dri've and why I am having problems with it on my first. If anyone could help me with this problem it would be greatly appreciated. By the way I have a DFI LanParty NF4 Sli-DR, AMD Atholon 64 3000+, XFX 6800GS PCI-Express 256MB, 2GB OCZ Gold Dual Channel DDR 400,Ultra 500watt PSU, Logitech Z-5500 5. Speakers. My first hard dri've is a Western Digital Caviar SE6 SATA 2 and my second hard dri've is a Hitachi Deskstar T7K250 SATA 2, they are both 250GB and are seperate they aren't connected to my motherboard or even on at the same time.Message Edited by RogueChaos on 05-3-2006 05:05 PM

Having some skype problems

i am like having skepe saying on the top bar not responing at times but i find nothing about it in the event viewer. Also I am not sure if my friends messages are showing up for me or if mine are for them. it was doing fine a few weeks ago but now it seems like its having problems. i am not sure if they are send the messages or if there is a problem going on.
It seems IE and adobe flash is for it is up to date .

Try to reset all Skype settings.
Quit Skype or use Windows Task Manager to kill any Skype.exe process. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata% and then press Enter or click the OK button. The Windows File Explorer will pop up. There locate a folder named “Skype”. Rename this folder to something different, e.g. Skype_old.
Next go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %temp%\skype and then press Enter or click the OK button. Delete the DbTemp folder.
Restart Skype.
N.B. If needed, you will still be able to re-establish your call and chat history. All data is still saved in the Skype_old folder.

I do use Address book and this has happened to me as well!! I synched my iphone 3 and poof - some of the iphone names are gone in both address books! The IPHONE category is the only one affected - all the other mobile numbers are fine! You would think that being that it's an iPhone - this would be covered?
Update - just found another missing number - a custom VM setting is just a number in my settings - found the names on my iPad - which I haven't synched.
Awhile back, I synched and the **** things deleted all my contacts on my computer in the address book and on my phone! Same thing, I hadn't done the iPad, and used an old backup file to restore some of the contacts, but had to go through them one by one and check with the iPad each one. WHAT A PAIN THIS IS AND IT SHOULDN'T HAPPEN!
BETWEEN THE NEW IOS 7 WHICH IS GARBAGE AND CAUSING VERTIGO IN ME AND ALL THESE PROBLEMS, I'M READY TO DUMP THE IPHONE. I ABSOLUTELY HATE IOS 7 AND ALL THESE ISSUES! Help... having an installer problem!!!

Ok i just purchased a 3rd party Garmin gps unit, I had to download the mac version of their software(disk only came pc), after I downloaded - I opened the .dmg image only to find the install icon was a blank paper icon(installer would not load when double clicked)... I copied the .dmg image to another mac, where the installation seeming worked perfect.
I have since used my install disc in order to repair my HD, and followed by repairing permissions.
- Still no luck.
I figured i might upgrade to 10.4.10 so I downloaded it, and when I went to install I got the same blank paper icon as before?
What is wrong with my computer/ why is it not allowing me to install these software items?

Sounds like a bad preference file. Move the com.apple.installer.plist file out of /username/Library/Preferences/ to your Desktop. Now, mount the image. If that works, problem solved. If not, create a new admin user account, log into it, and try to mount the image. If it works, then you'll have to resolve the conflict within the original account. Report back with the results.

I'm have big problems using Text Edit on the new laptop--the curser does not go where I want it to go for editing, I cannot get the text to be a clear or as large
as with the older Laptop. Similarly, I cannot find a way to enlarge the menu bar. But the text edit is my biggest problem right now. I have reviewed all the preferences, particularly those in Universal Access, to no avail.
I finally gave up, used dropbox to send the text edit document to my old laptop, and continued with ease. But this is not the way it should work. I bought the
new laptop because the old one is showing signs of age.....
Is there something wrong with Text Edit while using the new trackpad?

The old computer is a 2.6 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
The new one is a 2.3 GHz intel core i7
In going over this, thanks to "tallking it out" with you, I did discover the Text Edit problem. Because I've still been unable to get the new computer text size (fonts or whatever) to match the old computer, I did not notice that the curser is now different--the line midway down the curser has to be placed on the line I am working upon, otherwise the edits go elsewhere on the page. Now, with a bit of difficulty, I am able to get Text Edit to work correctly.
If you have any ideas as to why my menu bar and Text Edit type are still so slow, I'd love to have them.
(I went through the process you suggested earlier, re my Trackpad preferences, and found no improvement.)

I deleted some apps in Firefox 4, opened 3.6, closed it, and opened 4 again. But now Firefox 4 is having some severe problems.

After doing what I described in the thread title, Firefox 4 presented the following issues:
1- Tabs would not close.
2- The "forward" and "back" button would not be lit or clickable, as if I didn't visit any websites. Although pages did load, I could not go back and forth between them via these buttons.
3- the "feedback" button in the right-hand side of the screen was completely gone. Trying to download the respective feedback app that Mozilla provides didn't work, it wouldn't download.
4- the App Management screen would not open.
5- I did not save any of the pages from the previous session. So I closed FF 4 and opened 3.6 once again (wich appears to be functioning normally) and the pages came back
So basically my FF 4 got completely messed up. Reinstalling it did nothing. Cleaning the registry with Registry Mechanic was to no avail either. I had to uninstall FF4 since it was unusable.
Possibly useful fact: The apps I had removed in FF 4 were also removed in 3.6, wich indicates that maybe the FF 4 installation did not create copies of it's own for the bookmarks, apps, cache etc, so I am afraid to delete those when the FF 4 uninstallation wizard prompts me to, as it would also probably delete the stuff I have in 3.6 .

I assume by apps you mean add-ons or extensions or plugins. These are held in the profile.
Unless you set up a new profile, then FF4 and FF3 would be using the same one.

When I test a beta I always use a new profile, or update one from a previous version, but I would never expect the profile to be usable again in a previous version of Firefox.
Since FF4 has a new add-on manager it doesn't surprise me that FF 3 won't work with a profile that's been modified in FF 4.

Hooked up my external drive and having some major problems??

So I put my info from my pc onto my new external drive and then plugged it in to my mac (usb) It reads it just fine and I can pull info off it . . .
But, I cannot put anything on it (claims the drive is "read only") and I cannot delete anything off of it (I don't have the right permissions)
So what is the problem here?
I don't recall how i formatted the drive but i did do it with my PC. I am wondering if mac can't write to fat32 or ntfs or something like that.
Any thoughts are appreciated. I am using a hitachi drive in an ADS 835 enclosure.
By the way, where and how do you set "permissions"?

Sorry for being too late. You will not have any permission problems after reformat.
I hope it works now... I am using an external 60 GB VFAT drive without a problem with my ibook.

To answer your other query about selecting a different size media vs inputting different size, the printer actually does not allow it to protect it from overspray on the carriage.

Having some big problems

Earlier this week, after restarting my computer, it wouldn't boot back up again. I got to the startup chime, the grey Apple logo, and the spinning wheel, but after that it just sits there, until something starts to get really loud in the computer (it sounds like the fan spinning really fast, but I don't know enough to tell for sure). I ran DiskWarrior, which cleared up the problem, and I was able to log back in. Then last night in the middle of the night, I wake up to my computer making that same really loud sound. The monitors are off, and nothing I can do will wake the computer up. So I shut it off and went back to bed. When I tried it this morning, I logged in fine (except it held on the Apple logo/spinning wheel longer than usual.
If there's anybody who can help diagnose the problem, I'd be grateful.

Unfortunately, I can't recall the problem that DW reported. I opted not to save the report. But right now I am running DU, though I could only run Repair Disk Permissions. Repair Disk was grayed out. Although in that picture, Verify/Repair Disk would be grayed out anyway since I'm in the middle of the permission repair.
