I'm Having Song Issues

I have a quite a few songs that I have loaded to my ipod and it seems that a whole bunch of them will not play completely. They will play up to about a minute before the song ends and then it will skip to the next song. Is anyone else having this problem?

Same Here i have a 60 gb (5k + songs) and my sis has 30 gig (3k+ songs) and both are skipping, mine won't even play the song, it displays the artwork and then just skips to the next song. I have to hit the pause button and a few seconds later it will finally pause. Pressing play after that will make work. My sisters is haveing the problem where it doesn't finish the song, her's also doesn't show most album artwork (i have the same songs on my ipod and they show).
I'm using itunes 6 and 99% of my songs are AAC encoded(128kbps) and the rest are MP3 (>190kbps)

When viewing my albums through cover flow, it shows Cease To Begin as two separate albums, one with only Islands on the Coast, and the other having Islands on the Coast with 3 other songs. If I delete the album with only one song from my IPod, it deletes the song from the other "album" as well. If I go to "All Songs" by Band of Horses, it only shows one Islands on the Coast, so it is not a duplicate issue. Also, in Itunes, it only shows one album. I just recently updated to iOS5 on my 4th Gen IPod Touch, if that helps.

    You need to transfer the purchased content from the iPad to the iTunes library on the laptop. Read the post from virtualgeo on how to accomplish what you want to do.

    If you are running iOS 5 and backing up to iCloud, there is really no need to go through all of that - IMO - but if you want to, it is possible to do so.
    If you decide to do this, You will now have iTunes telling you that the iPad has been synced to another iTunes library each time that you sync with the other computer.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings      
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

  • Can't locate song issue

    I Recently had a problem with my iTunes, the problem being that it wouldn't open when i clicked on the shortcut or tried opening it from start menu. I went: control panel > programs > selected iTunes > repair. To see if that would fix it, it didn't so I then just uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it, now for nearly every song in my library; whether its from iTunes store or c.d's. I'm getting the 'could not be used as the orginal file could not be found' message. I've seen a few other people on these froums with this issue and I've tried the suggested method of fixing the problem (go to music > artists > albums > file) but that doesn't work on mine, there are none fo the songs that are having the issue in that folder. Anyone have any other ideas?

    Take the following steps:
    1) while connected to wifi, toggle off then back on the Show All Music and iTunes Match options shown in my original post. Important: I did this step before, but wasn't connected to wifi, and my music disappeared. Subsequently, I connected to wifi and turned off and then back on those options and everything came back though it was grayed out and my only option was to download music.
    2) To get streaming over cellular back, go into Settings>General>Cellular and scroll down to the "Use Cellular Data for:" options and make sure the iTunes option is set to 'On'
    The above steps will bring back the streaming capability which seemed to go away when you update to 6.1. It didn't ACTUALLY go away, but something about the update toggled off the iTunes option in step 2 above.
    I did a final test by turning off wifi, opening Music app and selecting a song. It played successfully without downloading! Crossing my fingers, but I think I'm good to go!

  • I have an iphone 4s that is having display issues. If I turn the phone on, it vibrates to acknowledge it successfully turned on but the screen stays solid black. I can plug the phone into my computer and itunes will recognize the phone as well.

    The screen does work though! Through trial and error along side a little troubleshooting, I was able to figure out that the screen will cut on after the phone dies completely. The phone has to die completely with no battery power left. Then if I plug the phone into a charge and wait a while for it to charge, the phone will turn on like nothing was ever even wrong with it. I charge the phone up to like 30% and turn it off then bam the phone turns on but the screen is solid black again.
    I am currently in the process of waiting for the phone to die and when I turn the phone back on I am going to completely remove the auto-lock and lock code off of the phone for the time being.
    Any other suggestions? Please help!

    Sounds like the device was dropped at some point and damaged as a result.
    Take it to Apple for evaluation and a replacement.

    I have tried to uninstall all Abode Acrobat installations but one file remains and refuses to be uninstalled. It gives me this error : Error applying Transforms . Verify that specified paths are valid. It was installed on Sept 18 2014.  I have downloaded a Transform update but it tells I do not have a Adobe Acrobat product installed.

    Sylonious, did you manage to sort this problem out? I have been experiencing similar problems. I think my problem was because I had many different versions of JDKs. I have done a complete re-install. I would be really grateful to you (and anyone else) for help with this problem.
    I have re-installed JSDK1.4.2_03, set the "path" variable to "C:\JSDK1.4.2_03".
    When I compile using "javac" I get an error saying "javac" is not recognised.
    When I compile using "C:\j2sdk1.4.2_03\bin\javac Freq.java" no error is thrown.
    Every time I try to run a java file, I always get the NoClassDefFound error. When run with the -verbose option, files are loaded from C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin - is this correct?
    I have removed all previous references to java in the registry editor.
    Please help !

    What Happened?
    No way for us to know.  But if your system was crashing, there definitely was a problem.  The FCE error message you got normally indicates the FCE project file has been corrupted.  This probably happened due to whatever caused your system to crash & shutting down the system.
    First, make sure your system is running correctly.  Then, use the Finder to navigate to /users/yourusername/Documents/Final Cut Express Documents/Autosave Vault and find the most recent backup copy of your FCE project file.  Copy the file to your Final Cut Express Documents folder (copy the file, don't just move it).  Then double-click the copy to open it in FCE.  It should open ok, but will probably not have your most recent edits (transitions).  You may have to rebuild the transitions, but at least you will be back in action.

A google search of the problem suggested it may be an error related to the number of times I can reinstall this product due to licensing issues.  Please help.

    Absolutely not. You are misinterpreting things. The activation check never happens when just running the installer, only much later. It means what it says - there is another "install" pending/ active on your system, meaning somewhere there is an (invisible) process still blocking things. Either way, since you haven't provided any real technical info, we can't advise specifically. if you are on Windows, you may want to check your task manager and terminate any setup.exe and msiexec.exe processes plus potentially may need to manually fix/ delete some registry keys. For anything beyond that you will have to be much more specific.

  • Am I having an issue with my phone or is it local service?

    Last week my GS3 like for most people updated to KitKat from Jellybean. Since then I have had a problem with spotty data coverage. I live in the 18951 area code but as I have wifi I didn't notice and issue with the data coverage since I wasn't using it. I work in the 19132 zip code and was down in the area of 19147 over the weekend and was having a problem. I don't have wifi at work and I have very long days where it would be nice to be able to use the data I pay for. Is anybody else having an issue? If not I'll just decrease my data package since I can't use it anyway.

    Software updates are intended to provide you a better wireless experience, not worse.  I would love to assist you with your device issues.
    I checked coverage for the zip codes you provided and they appear to be great 4G coverage areas.  Nothing has been reported in the areas as well.
    Please share more details of what you're experiencing with your device data.  Does your device display a 3G or 4G signal?  If so, how many bars does it display when this is happening?  And are you experiencing any problems with voice calls or texts as well?  Please let me know so that I can further assist.  Thanks!

    I am having a issue with getting data useage alerts for my iphone 4s from AT&T.  I do not download anything huge at all.
    I looked into it and figured out that the phone dials out nightly at 12:29am every night.   I went into my settings and went to general..about..diagnostics and useage..then diagnostics and useage data to see this.  I then clicked don't send...but I am still getting useage alerts.  Can anyone help me please...

    Honestly, from reading the thread linked, they all come off as a bunch of whiney people that cannot be bothered to help themselves.
    Little to nothing in that thread indicates an issue beyond inept consumers.  Yes, I read several pages on the incessant gripes.  Very few made any actual attempts to troubleshoot issues before whining about the "Apple issue" and those that did actual troubleshooting got their issues resolved.
    So no, Apple has nothing to fix beyond a few specific devices that are experiencing hardware issues.
    If you have actually put forth effort and done the basic troubleshooting, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.  Whining will get nothing accomplished.

    I have already swapped this phone out once for a new I phone 6. First one I was having same issues with.
    Now I got the new one and it was good for about a month and now its doing it to but worse. It freezes completely.
    Won't let any of my text messages get through to me. All my messages disappear completely and randomly come back when they feel like it.
    This time its frozen where I can't even read any texts or get any texts and when I click on the messenger app it just goes to the NEW MESSAGE and won't let me get out of this screen. Should I once again take this back? or are all the iPhone 6's bad like this?

    It's not the iphones, it's more likely one or more of your programs causing this issue. It's not the iPhone 6's. The possibility of you getting 2 bad iphones from different batches is extremely remote or you have the worst luck on the planet. lol    If one iPhone has it, then you get a new one and the same problem comes up again, it's most likely due to an issue with a program that you keep getting back from restoring an old backup. Restore the iphone again and set up as a new iphone. Then manually import your music and your photos. Once that's done, try to use your iphone to see if everything is ok. If it works good for a few days, then try to add some of the apps. At some point, you'll end up loading the malicious app and the problem may come back. Make sure that the apps are all updated. If you still have problems, call Apple so that they can run a diagnostic report and find out which app is causing this issue. Then you can simply delete it and/or update the app. More solutions are available but that's all I will post for now.

    I have created a navigation system on the master pages and set the presentation to links only mode. I also have other links scattered throughout the program, like a linkable table of contents, etc. Some of them work, some of them don't. Not sure why. Anyone out there having similar issues? Or have any idea on how I can solve this issue? Any help would be appreciated!

    Links should not create any problems in Keynote.  If they are set up correctly on text, the text will be underlined. Objects that have links will have a curved arrow bottom right, if you click the arrow a popup will display the link information.
    Try this repair for Keynote,  ensure you complete all the tasks and in the order shown:
    1 
    delete all the iWork applications if you have them, not just Keynote, using Appcleaner from Mac Update, its a freeware application
    2 
    empty the trash:  Finder > Empty Trash
    3 
    Shut down your Mac, wait 30 seconds, then power on the Mac, immediately after the start chime, hold down the Shift key
    When you see the grey Apple symbol and progress indicator (a spinning gear), release the Shift key.
    If you are prompted to log in, type your password, then hold down the Shift key again as you click Log in.

    Let the Mac fully boot up, it will take longer as the OS is repairing the drive
    5 
    when fully booted, go to Applications > Utilities > Disc Utility; click on the boot drive then First Aid tab and click  repair disc permissions

    when complete, restart the Mac normally, Apple menu > Restart

    install Keynote from the Mac App Store
