I'm having this problem with my Zen Mi
I got my first Zen Micro a couple of months ago fron Target.com, after a week, the music on it started to skip for a second. It started a few times here and there and barely noticeable. Not really a skip, but more like (for lack of a better example) when one of those old tape players started to run out of batteries. It got worse and worse, so I called Target and they refunded me the money and I decided maybe it was just that one that was messed up, I got my 2nd one a week ago and the very st time I played music on it, same thing. Its just barely noticeable right now, but I know where this is going. Anyone else with this same problem, have heard of it or have any idea what it might be? I chose the Micro over the iPod, but now I'm seriously thinking about changing my mind. I do love the Micro, but I wish I knew what is going on and not having to return it again. By the way, I did all the upgrades that were/are available.

That's weird as I have never encounter skip when using the Zen Micro. Does it happen randomly or at a particularly audio file? When you encounter this again, check the specific file and see what's the bitrate, frequency, audio type(MP3,WMA), etc...

The app isn't optimized for the larger screen. You just need to wait for them to update the app.

Having big problems with Creative Zen Micro Photo!! I need much urgent help!
Hi. I am having a big problem with my MP3 Creative Zen Micro Photo device at the computer.Here is the thing:Before I bought this I had the regular Zen Micro & having fun with it. I had no problems with that when I used the Media Explorer to transfer songs. So I bought the Zen Micro Photo & installed it my computer. As normal I used the Media Explorer to transfer songs & pictures.So I reinstalled Windows XP at my computer, and when I installed the CD that followed to transfer new songs, the Windows said that it's an unknown thing I have connected in the USB.So I installed Service Pack & 2. I have tried to install drivers from the cd but it seems that there are no drivers on the cd! The big problem is that when I connect the MP3 to the computer, it doesn't read it's a Zen Micro, it's just unknown! So the Zen Micro Photo Media Explorer program doesn't work & I can't transfer songs or picture on it! And it just happened after I re-installed Windows on my computer. The same thing happened on my brother's computer after he re-installed windows. And when I connect the MP3 to the USB, it says that it's not a USB 2.0, but .! And I am sure it is 2.0 because it has always been like that before I re-installed windows. Also the MP3 does not re-charge when I put it my computer! The battery is just the same, it tries to do it but it doesn't. So I am using my sisters computer to charge the MP3 & transfer songs. I have tried everything but I can't seem to understand what the problem is? I have never experienced something like this before, and I really hope you can help me with this! To be honest I think what I am missing is the driver. So can someone PLEASE provide me the link for the driver? I have downloaded all those 3 on www.creative.com, but they are none of them! Also that playforsure firmawre thingy does not work because it sais that I have to connect my MP3, and it is connected already!Please reply as quick as possible! Thanks a lot for you kind help!

I am having a problem with my Zen Nano P
When I first got the player for my birthday it was great. I transferred a lot of music onto it and would take it to work out or just to listen to it. But like all people I got bored with the list so I deleted all the music and made another one. Well after three lists I can no longer sync it with my computer. I have tried everything. The USB ports are working, I can sync other devices up with my computer, but for some reason I can no longer transfer songs. Its not like other problems I have read about like man I can't transfer all the songs I want no I can't transfer any songs, and the player has been emptied.
So lets recap, no songs on the player, have tried Mediasource and Windows Media Player, and still can not transfer any songs at all. And I think my warranty has run out so I can't get my money back or get a new player.
Please help if someone can.You are welcome. I am happy that the redownloading of the firmware helped you and fixed your problem. It is the first thing I try whenever my players don't do what they are supposed to do. I use my Zen Nano Plus mainly for audiobooks. It is a great little player.

I am sure apple must be working on a patch or an io7 update. I keep on getting this msg while calling and phone does not receive any incoming calls when it displays a msg saying "SIM card is not installed". I would appreciate if apple try to resolve this software problem asap. Thanks

It anyone else having this problem with Siri saying that it'll come back to you?
Siri keeps on telling me that it will come back to me and it not working. I just bought the phone a couple of days ago and started having issues yesterday.
The app isn't optimized for the larger screen. You just need to wait for them to update the app.

I notice that my new IPad (3rd generation) will not stay connected to the power cord at all, I'm not exagerating, if I plug it in and browse the Internet without fail it will become unplugged and I will have to push the plug back in (Ba-beep). Ive actually grown to despise that sound when you plug your iPhone or iPad in because it reminds me of how much money I spent on something that PHYSICALLY will not charge while I'm using it.
I know the problem with it holding a charge while in use, I get it, the screen is amazing and it takes a lot to run the display, however, it is unacceptable to me that I can't even keep the thing plugged in while I'm using it. I can not even leave it on my Cal King bed overnight because I will wake up in the morning to find that the plug has been jiggled loose in a corner, so it's still attached but not making a connection thus not being charged.
I love the 4GLTE from Verizon and I love the iPad, but I'm actually using my 1st generation IPad while I am at home so I can leave my new $900 iPad on a table to charge free of incident so I can use the 4G while I'm away from wifi during the day. I have been getting more upset about this because I can not even use the Griffin extended cord to charge the iPad and be far from the plug because only the original apple sync/charge cord will have a better shot at staying in. Absolutely none of my non apple cables will stay in the iPad 3 while having it in my hands.
The plug is at an angle, unlike the first iPad, not sure about the iPad 2. Please let me know if they have same issue.
If anyone else is having this problem with the Gen 3 iPad please let me know because I'm tempted to do something about it with apple and I'm hoping that I just for some reason have a bad cable receiver or something and maybe I can get a replacement and enjoy the iPad as I had expected to. There is no reason why I should be even using my first iPad and I have friends that want to buy it but I am not selling it because I'm unable to sell it because I can't handle the new iPad while it's plugged in, that is ridiculous if it's a common issue so please let me know!Thanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. Im haveing a problem with google map in my adobe edge web page file project
ok iv set my google map for a certain address in adobe edge however when I load the file in a internet browser the map is scrolled further away from the address and marker that is placed on the address.

I have been having this problem with Firefox 3.6 for the last several updates. I'm currently using FF 3.6.17.
I think the problem showed up with 3.6.14.
I know for sure that I had it with 3.6.15 because I hoped that 3.6.16 would fix it.Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:

I have a new but 2010 model. It operates very slow and has gray screen occassionaly. One store said it's "safe sleep", the other graphic board. Is anyone else having this problem with computer only 4 mos. old?
Your problems may be caused by software or hardware, including the gray screen and the slowness. The intermittent gray screen is a puzzler and probably is hardware. TUSL2C’s diagnosis may be right on the money. A question is how to isolate it to HW or SW that so you can get good service?
The obvious cheap and easy fix is to replace that cable but I don’t think you can do that because it is under warranty. There are other ways to isolate the problem that won’t void the warranty.
If the disk turns out to be healthy and it continues to boot to a gray screen then that will be a sign that internal hardware, other than the disk, is to blame. Since they are blaming it on software we will be able to test it with a pristine OS X installation that has no 3rd-party software to blame.

The machine should go to sleep and wake up almost instantly every time without a gray screen. If you can demonstrate the problem reliably by putting it to sleep and waking it up then that will be most useful. We will show it failing on pristine OS X software without 3rd-party mods to prove it is an Apple problem. Similarly if you can reliably show the gray screen from a power-on boot that will help.
My first question is do you have a current Time Machine (or other) backup? If not you should create one before we get to steps that could stress the disk. If it is a faulty cable or a faulty disk then the system could stop functioning at any time. It is always prudent to maintain a current backup and especially important when the system is sick. If you do not have a Time Machine (or other) backup then post back for instructions on how to create one.
In the mean time please download and run Etrecheck and post back the results.

Also run disk diagnostics with Disk Utility. This will check if the disk and filesystem are healthy.
From the Finder, pull down on the Go menu to Utilities. This will open the Applications > Utilities folder.
Then run Disk Utility.
Click on the upper left disk icon.
Does the S.M.A.R.T. status say “Verified”.
If not the disk/SSD is unhealthy and needs to be replaced.
Click on the icon indented below, usually called “Macintosh HD”.
Verify Disk.
If it finishes with a green “OK” message then all is well with the disk.
If it shows errors in red then you may have found a problem.
Click on Repair Disk Permissions.
It will give lots of messages in black and white, which are OK.
If it gives any messages in red then there is an issue to address.
It will be useful to have some test that shows the slow speed that uses standard OS X applications such as Pages, Numbers, Presenter, iTunes, iMovie... or even just the Finder opening windows or starting applications. We can then use that test when isolating the source of the slowness.
How many seconds does it take to boot from power-on to either the login screen or the Finder is up? Please time that. It is a good speed test. If it is over a minute then something is wrong.
One way to isolate the issues will be to sandbox it using another disk to test what happens with different software on different hardware disks in different locations. That will not void the warranty.
But before going there or proceeding further let’s look at the Etrecheck and Disk Utility results, ensure the system is backed up, and then try some other standard tests. -
Problems with iTunes/ipad2 I'm trying to buy FREE apps and I'm being told my card is declined but I also have more then enough credit on my account! Anyone having this problem?
Part of the validation for credit cards is that they need to be registered to exactly the same name and address that you have on your iTunes account, which prepaid cards tend not to be. Do you have a proper credit card that you could use ? Or are iTunes gift cards available in your country so that you could try using them as your payment method ?
Until you have a valid payment method on your account and what you owe iTunes has been paid off then you won't be able to download any item from the store, including free apps (and updates to apps). -
having a problem with dates when I send my numbers doc to excel. dates are all out and that they have to cut and paste individual entries onto their spreadsheet. Any idea how I can prevent this.

M…oSoft products aren't allowed on my machines but I use LibreOffice which is a clone of Office.
When I export from Numbers to Excel and open the result with LibreOffice, the dates are correctly treated.
To be precise, dates after 01/01/1904 are correctly treated. dates before 01/01/1904 are exported as strings but, as it's flagged during the export process, it's not surprising.
