I'm having trouble downloading itunes, I am getting an "Unknown Publisher" error using Windows 7.

I bought a new computer running Windows 7. Everytime I try to download itunes I get an "Unknown Puplisher" error and it won't allow me to continue. How do I get itunes downloaded?

  • Having trouble downloading itunes on my computer. i keep getting a error message that reads: apple sync notifier.exe- entry point not found.

Hello, can anyone help me out there? Im having trouble downloading itunes on my computer.
Ikeep getting a error message reading:
#1  applesyncnotifer.exe- entry point not found.
#2  the procedure entry point sqlite3-wal-checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library. sqlite3.d11.
#3  service 'apple mobile device' (apple mobile device)
failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Restart the programme all should be well
In case that your OS is (64 bit)
    1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
    3. Now paste it in the folder  C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
    4. Restart the programme, it should not display that message, it should be clear.
    Good Luck

  • Have a new itouch. I'm having trouble downloading iTunes. I keep getting the error message: Apple Application software was not found. Apple application support is required to run iTunesHelper. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTues again. Error 2.

I have a new iTouch. I'm having trouble downloading iTunes. I keep getting the error message: "Apple Application Software was not found. Apple application support is required to run iTunesHelper. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again. Error 2." I have uninstalled and tried installing again and get the same error message. What do i need to do?
    Lg

Install 7-Zip (free), or a free trial of WinRAR, and use one of them to extract the contents of the iTunesSetup.exe or iTunesSetup64.exe installer file, then try installing AppleApplicationSupport.msi as a standalone component. Even if it won't install you may get a more useful error message as to why not.

... doublechecking to see if I'm reading your tags right, Sexy ... are you getting an error 2 when you go to launch iTunes after the install?
If so, is it saying that Apple Application Support cannot be found?
What Windows OS are you using? XP, Vista or 7?

    Hey klsygray,
From how you describe the issue, it sounds more like an installation issue. For those types of issues, take a look at the article below to walk you through updating your version of Windows as well as trying to download iTunes from iTunes website if you are using the Software Update option.

why isnt it working on my computer

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

  • Getting an "unknown publisher" error when downloading itunes

I am trying to download the latest version of Itunes.  I keep getting an "Unknown Publisher" message from Internet Explorer.  I went through the troubleshooting and removed all apple apps.  Now I am stuck. Any ideas?

That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

  • When download is complere i get message "unknown Publisher" and i will not install

running xp when i try to download the download completes then the box says "unknown Publisher"
i do not get a chance to go on. and it does not install

Don't try to run the Firefox installer directly, but save the file to the desktop and start the installation with a double-click on that icon on the desktop.

  • I'm having trouble downloading iTunes to Windows 8!

So I click download iTunes, and then it asks me where I want to save the setup file and I click save, and then usually it appears in my downloads file and I can double click on it and then it says run, save, or cancel. This time after I clicked save, the file doesn't even appear in my dowloads file. I deleted all of the Apple files before I tried to reinstall it and it still doesn't work. Can someone please help me!?!?
