I'm having trouble installing Adobe Flash too....
I can't my Adobe Flash Player to work on my Mac OS X 10.5.8. in Safari. I have tried everything I have read- uninstall, repair remissions, spent about 3 hours with Apple Support and still can't watch videos. I know a lot of people are having this problem and I'm trying to follow other peoples advice but I'm not sure I'm doing the right things. I would appreciate any help.
it didn't work. adobepdfviwer plug in is the only one in the
library- no flash player. I think i downloaded something that messed
up my computer, a picture from disney world. I couldn't even get on
Safari until after talking to Apple, when two flash player plug in's
are there I have to put them in the Trash to get into Safari and the
when I'm prompted to download the Adobe one and still try to watch any
video or my son play games it tells me that I don't have MIME type and
its a due to a Flash Player Plug in. thanks, Erin

Is anyone having trouble installing Adobe flash player on a MacBook Pro?
Is anyone having trouble installing Adobe flash player on a MacBook Pro with OSX 10.7.5?
Thanks for your help here is what I did so far!
I have uninstalled Adobe and reinstalled it, I've tried restarting my browser, then my MacBook Pro without any success!
When I click on the Apple in the upper left hand corner and open System Preferences I can see Adobe Flash Player on the bottom under the Other section.
If I open Adobe up and check the version it tells me that I have the most recent version!
I even uninstalled Adobe and installed the newest Beta version, but Adobe is still not working! If I check for the latest version it tells me that I do have the latest beta version, but it still doesn't work!
If the person who made the video used any other video player it works!
Their player, plays the video without a problem! -

You'll continue to have trouble, because...
There is no more Flash Player for Android and there won't be another. Android is no longer compatible with Flash Player. Playing Flash content is very processor consumptive and it drains your battery, also shortening the life of it. Android (Google) recommends using either "Dolphin" or "Puffin" as your browser if you need to view Flash content with a mobile device running Android. They're both free in the GooglePlay store.
These browsers use "server side" rendering to reduce the load on your device. -

Having trouble installing Adobe Flash player 17.0.0.134 on Mac OS 10.10.1. Currently have 16.0.0305 flash player installed. I've tried quitting Safari. Have not uninstalled currently Adobe as yet. How to fix?
Sorry, when I try to install Flash Player 17.0.0.134, it will begin initialing, then stop saying "Installation Failed" and to press "Finish". It then directs me to troubleshooting. I made sure I quit Safari as per their instructions, but have not gone as far as "uninstalling" my current Flash Player 16.0.0.305, because it looks like I will screw something up in the process.
Hope that information helps. -

I am having trouble installing Adobe flash to my i mac--any suggestions?
I am having trouble downloading and installing Adobe flash player to my i mac,--any suggestions?
Two bugs, one affecting Apple's Mac platform and another attacking Microsoft's Windows, exploit certain Flash player vulnerabilities to install malware onto users' systems, reports ArsTechnica. While users of other operating systems like Linux have yet to report attacks, Adobe's advisory notes the exploit affects all platforms.
Designated as CVE-2013-0634, the first vulnerability targets the Safari and Firefox Web browsers running on OS X, and is also being used as a trojan to deploy Microsoft Word documents containing malware. For Mac users, the flaw affects Adobe Flash Player version 11.5.502.146 or earlier.
On March 1 Apple again blocked Flash Player for Lion and Mountain Lion:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5660
The Adobe Flash patch can be found on Adobe’s website, and users can visit this page to check if their software is the most curent version.
You should uninstall any previous version first, and repair permissions after installing the new version. -

When I tried to install Adobe Flash Player several times without success I finally contactedAdobe Support.they directed me to +support log me in rescue. They viewed my screen andtold me that two hackers had hacked my computer and they were located in Cupertino,Ca. The tech said it would be 45 minuts to fix it and would cost $50.
You are being scammed. Please do not call them or pay them money. Get Adobe Flash Player Download from Adobe.

Having trouble installing Adobe Flash while running Yosemite...
I installed Yosemite over a week ago and ever since I've been unable to get Flash to work properly. I realized an update needed to be installed (even though I have the automatic updates checked for Adobe Flash), but I'm having a hard time getting the update to complete. It prompts me to close all browsers after the installer downloads. Then after doing so, I click on the installer and everything starts off fine. However, after about 75% of the install being complete, it shows: 'Error: Unable to proceed with the installation.' At that point the only option I'm given is to click 'Finish.' After clicking 'Finish,' Safari opens up to Adobe's website and gives me the option to either troubleshoot the installation or try it again. I've done both, yet neither are working.
I first tried to just re-install it, but saw that I already had it installed, so that's when I tried updating it to the latest version. Since neither worked, I uninstalled Adobe flash and tried a clean install, but the same error appeared at about the same time during installation.
Before I uninstalled Adobe Flash, I checked the version and it matched the latest, however, every page that uses flash says I need to install the update and prompts me to do so before continuing. Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!See: How to perform a "clean install" of Flash Player in Mac OS X

Can someone please help me. I am going nuts trying to fix this.
Thank you, thank you , thank you ...had the same issues as Mac users above and sure glad to find out it was not a Mac issue but rather a Go Figure You Would Think The Official Adobe Download Would Work But Doesn't ******* Work issue .... Thank you Adobe for a great product but you guys have a lot to learn about Mac users ... I came across a multitude of posts identical to this one all over the web with all kinds of solutions to do this that and the other and lo and behold one of your users Stenr41480953 came up with the simplest solution to simply download from a site that works...way to go Adobe, you should buy lots of share of mac because they might just take over your company one of these days !

Why am I having trouble running Adobe Flash Player 11 on my 2011 Macbook Air? I've downloaded and installed it repeatedly; yet when I try to open certain images online or play certain Youtube segments, I get the message, "You must have Adobe Flash 11..." My computer tells me it is installed and running.
If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test. For a "missing plug-in" error, start with Step 5.
1. If you're only having trouble with YouTube videos, sign in to your YouTube account and load this page. You may see a link with the text "Leave the HTML5 Trial." If so, click that link.
2. If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, then from the menu bar select
▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Check Now. Quit and relaunch your browser.
3. Triple-click the line below to select it:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu. A folder should open. Delete the following item, or anything with a similar name, if present:
Flash Player (failing).plugin
You may be prompted for your login password.
4. Re-download and reinstall Flash. Download it from this page:
Adobe - Install Adobe Flash Player
Never download a Flash update from anywhere else.
5. If you get a "missing plug-in" error, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
from the Safari menu bar and check the box marked Enable plug-ins.
6. Select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
from the Safari menu bar. If any extensions are installed, disable them.
7. In the Safari preference window, select
Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
Close the window. Then select
▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Delete All. Close the preference pane. -

having trouble installing Adobe Reader 8, know it's outdated, job requires it. System is Windows 7 Home Premium. Thank you.
You may see if there are solutions in this old thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3063830
Although that combination isn't supported, many people have made it work.
Why would a job require Reader 8? All older files are compatible with newer versions. Or at least they should be.
