I'm having trouble installing CS6 beta;

I'm having trouble installing CS6 beta; when I try, it says to close background processes - specifically Bridge, which is NOT open. In fact, I just turned the computer on and tried to install what was dowloaded last night. Any ideas?

Are you on Mac or windows?
If you check the Task manager in Win (CTRL+Shift+Esc), or the ForceQuit applications dialog (CMD+Opt+ESC) do you see any Bridge, or other Adobe applications running?

What Mac? What version of OSX? What are the specific errors. And clarify whether you actualyl alrteady have successfully downloaded and get stuck on installing or if it's the otehr way around. That false intermingling of terminology is really not helping.

Thanks for your help here is what I did so far!
I have uninstalled Adobe and reinstalled it, I've tried restarting my browser, then my MacBook Pro without any success!
When I click on the Apple in the upper left hand corner and open System Preferences I can see Adobe Flash Player on the bottom under the Other section.
If I open Adobe up and check the version it tells me that I have the most recent version!
I even uninstalled Adobe and installed the newest Beta version, but Adobe is still not working! If I check for the latest version it tells me that I do have the latest beta version, but it still doesn't work!
If the person who made the video used any other video player it works!
Their player, plays the video without a problem!

It is difficult to determine the point of failure from your install log summary. I would recommend reviewing the install logs in their entirety to locate the exact error. Are you having trouble installing CS5.5 on your mac (os lion 10.7.3)? Are you tired of receiving error reports (i recieved "exit code: 24" numerous times)? there is an easy way without hacking your mac into bits. start your comouter in security mode (hold down the shift key while your mac boots). Pop the CS5.5 Application 1 dvd into the drive and follow the instructions. no problems. no exit codes. no hassel. no swearwords. just an installation that works. why this is necessary is a mystery to me. but it works. after installing, don't forget to restart your mac in order to exit of security modus and return to normality;)
i hope this helps a few lost souls like me who have wasted hours of their time over the past couple of days. correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't updates suppose to make things work better?

You can disable the Lion resume feature.
Open System Preferences > General
Deselect:   Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps
As for Facebook, select "Keep me logged in" ..   even if the page refreshes, you should stay logged in.

For help to avoid Safari from auto refreshing pages, go to   ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
For Lion v10.7x: To find the Home folder in OS X Lion, open the Finder, hold the Option key, and choose Go > Library
Move the Cache.db file to the Trash. Quit then relaunch Safari.

Although that combination isn't supported, many people have made it work.
Why would a job require Reader 8? All older files are compatible with newer versions. Or at least they should be.

With a single user license, you can install Acrobat on maximum two computers, say, your laptop at work and desktop at office.
But, you cannot use Acrobat on both the machines simultaneously.
You will first need to deactivate Acrobat from the old machine, then install and activate the software on the new OS with the same serial key.

It takes a long time to move up every percent and then after 10% it says that it failed to install nothing else. Another time it just said error. I need help please! I need this program ASAP!
