I'm having trouble saving my project

Using LV 8.5.1:
1.  In Project Explorer, I select my shared variable .lvlib file, right click it, and select Autodeploy Variables to uncheck it.  I confirm the uncheck by repeating the right click.  Now I save the project, reopen i, and the check mark is back.  Why?
2.  Periodically, while my project is open, I get a popup that states something like "Unable to autosave project.lvproj" with an OK button.  Why?
I've check the file attributes and the project file is not read-only.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Hi kc64,
This was reported to R&D (# 115766) and was fixed in LabVIEW 8.6.  You can disable the autosave feature if you like.  Here is a link to the LabVIEW 8.6 Evaluation Software.  Thank you for your feedback.

  • Having trouble saving tiff files to server

    Hi all,
I'm having trouble saving tiff files to our server (a mac pro running OSX 10.5.7 client not server). I get the error message 'could not save "filename" because write access was not granted. The disk in question is set to ignore permissions and the other 3 Macs on the network have no problems.
Bizarrely this only seems to happen when saving as a Tiff file, I can save as JPEG without issue! The file will usually save after a few attempts, sometimes six or seven save as' are needed.
This problem comes and goes, but at the moment its pretty bad.
This is becomming very frustrating as Tiff is our prefered format and we work as a team so have to save to the server.
    Any ideas?

Just to expand on Buko's correct ansswer, this is the boilerplate text I use in connection to saving to a network (please NOTE the part where it explains that normally, it does work, but that it is impossible to troubleshoot someone else's network remotely, and that's why it's not supported by Adobe):
If you are opening files over a network or saving them to a network server, please cease and desist immediately in the event you are currently experiencing problems with one or more files. Working across a network is not supported.
    See:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/322391.html
Copy the CLOSED file from your server to your local hard disk, work on it, save it again to your local hard disk, close it, and copy the closed file back to the server.
Of course, the fact that Adobe does not support working across a network does not necessarily mean it won't work.   It should.
Adobe's position is that there are too many variables in a network environment for them to guarantee that everything will work correctly in every network, especially given the fact that if something does not work properly, it's probably the network's fault, and Adobe has no way of troubleshooting your network.
If you can't work locally, you are on your own, and if something happens, you're on your own. If you must work from a server, make sure your network administrator is a competent professional.
When problems arise, a lot of valuable work can be lost.

  • I'm having trouble saving my file in adobe acrobat pro 9

I'm having trouble saving my file in adobe acrobat pro 9.  When I attempt to save I get message saying,"Bad File Handle".  There are several pictures on this file I'm trying to save...dont know if that has anything to do with the problem, just thought it would be helpful information.  Would really appreciate any insight anyone has to offer.
    Thanks in advance

I am having a similar problem with a simple pdf form.  I have made several changes to the pdf and when I go to save, I get the message that I can't save the file due to a "bad file handle."  I have opened, altered, saved, and closed the form several times before, just not now.  No one else was working on the form.  The file format is still a pdf and nothing has changed.

  • Im having trouble saving images from photoshop to my samsung tablet any ideas

im having trouble saving photoshopped imsges onto my samsung tablet any ideas ?

I have no knowledge of the Android OS.  I do have an iPod and its OS iOS is not really comparable my Windows  OS.  The iPod does mount as a dive on windows and the iPod camera roll is accessible. The jpes images can be copied to my pc.  However the PC does not have access to the iOS file system even apple user don't have real access the iOS file system.   Image need to be synced between the iPod and PC through iTunes sync.  Itunes messes with your PC images and creates some sort of image database and syncs that database between PC and Apple mobile devices.  There are also apps that help you share file between PC and Apple mobile devices.  I have no idea how files are shared between PC Operating Systems platform versions and Android OS versions.  Photoshop may not be able to save to Android files system.  Photoshop Can not save to Apple mobile devices. Photoshop may be able to save to Apple's Mac unix file system through some form of network share.
How does one share files between Android devices and PC OS devices?

  • Hi I am having trouble expiring iMovie projects to YouTube in 720p it works some times but it fails to upload most of the time

Hi I am having trouble expiring iMovie projects to YouTube in 720p it works some times but it fails to upload most of the time

A work around is to export from your camera roll.
So export the video to the camera roll.
    Go to Photos app,
and choose export (the arrow pointing out), and choose to go to you tube form there.
It tends to be a little more reliable.
    Hope that helps!
    Also please tell Apple:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/imovie_iOS.html
They tend not to care about a few things being busted in their equipment, but might fix it if enough people complain.

  • I am having trouble saving my swatches and brushes that I create. After I close Illustrator, and come back later my swatches and brushes are gone.

I am having trouble saving my swatches and brushes that I create. After I close Illustrator, and come back later my swatches and brushes are gone.

Once you have a document with the swatches, brushes, symbols that you want, save it as a new Document Profile.
Document profiles can be found (and saved) in Library > Application Support > Adobe > Adobe Illustrator 18 (if you have CC) > your language folder > New Document Profiles.
Next time you create a document you will find it in the list of profiles.

        Hello wsc315
I'm sorry your having issues with certain songs. Let's look into this. Are you able to play the music files with another app? Have you tried downloading the song on another device? Where did the music come from originally?

  • Having trouble saving as .doc format

I am having real trouble saving any edited documents to .doc format.  I am editting my CV and it is obviously neccessary for it to be compatible with microsoft office so I save a copy as .doc but as I edit it and go to resave as .doc it does not save the changes, when I go back into it the document has reverted back to my last copy of my CV.
Please help!! I have rang apple but because my apple care has expired they want to charge me £35 to help me??

    Nic,
    No charges here .
The first thing that comes to mind is that your understanding of how this works may not match the way Pages does this. You'll use either File > Export > Word... or Share > Export > Word... . Neither will update a previously exported document unless you choose the same filename for the second export as for the first, and then override the warning.

  • HAVING TROUBLE SAVING ITEMS IN LION AS IT IS DIFFERENT THAN SNOW LEAPORD... CAN ANYONE SHARE THE CORRECT PROCEEDURE?

I'M HAVING TROUBLE USING THE SAVE FEATURE IN LION AS IT'S MUCH DIFFERENT THAN THAT IN SNOW LEAPORD, CAN ANYONE SHARE THE CORRECT PROCEEDURE TO SAVE A DOCUMENT?

Revert back to Snow Leopard would be the ideal choice.
Not writing in all caps would be nice too, it's SHOUTING
Thirdly, Lion introduced auto-save, so you have to duplicate the file, then open the duplicate to make changes.
    Wonderfully asinine.
Quit the program, it will ask you to save.

  • Having Troubling Saving Projects

Once I complete work on a project and attempt to save the video, the program seems to fail on me. About halway through the rendering process an error comes up saying "software exception 0xc000000d occured in the application at location 0x78138aa0"
I have tried many different times only to recieve the same results and have searched the forums and customer support to only come up empty handed. Anyone have any information on why this is happening and how to fix it?

How much free space is on your hard drive? Is at least 15% of of your drive free -- and have you recently cleaned and defragged it?

  • Having Trouble Saving

    Hello,
I've encountered a problem in what seems to be a very simple series of events. So simple that the error does not come up anywhere in the Soundtrack Pro User's Manual.
I sent one audio clip into soundtrack pro from fcp using the "send to" command. I proceeded to clean it up a little using a high pass filter, some EQ tweaking, and noise reduction. When I saved the clip, soundtrack pro offered me the most generic error message I think I've ever encountered: "unable to save project." It included a triangle encasing a red exclamation point, as if I somehow stumbled upon the entrance to heaven and entered the wrong code at the pearly gates.
On the apple troubleshooting page, the solution to the problem seems to be that I should save to another hard drive, since my hard drive is probably out of space. That's highly unlikely, as the hard drive is brand new and hardly has any media on it. I can't seem to find any other solution anywhere, and neither have any of my colleagues encountered the error. Can somebody please help me, I have to deliver a video by the end of the week and I'm stuck feeling angry and dejected at a piece of technology I thought I was pretty familiar with.

Can Somebody please help me with this, i just can't find an answer anywhere, the problem seems so simple but keeps eluding me. I'm an amateur so I don't have many colleagues who can provide me with answers.
I noticed also that when I use the "send to soundtrack pro as an audio file" command, the video does not show up in soundtrack pro. It sends as a quicktime file with an added "a" extension, i.e.
introduction - a.mov. Does this have anything to do with the program's inability to save?

  • Having trouble saving over files in right location.

When using Adobe Illustrator CS5 mainly but other applications too.
I am working from a server, say there is folder A, B, C and D.
I open up a file from folder A, amend it etc and go to save over that (cmd-shift-s - i use this as it previews correctly rather than hitting cmd-s where it will preview only a bit of the artboard) and the save dialog box will either show folder B, C or D or will just Downloads or Documents for example - basically it will want to save anywhere other than I opened it from!
This is a pain because if I am working on 4 or 5 files making small amends and just quickly wanting to save over them and get onto the next one I have to then navigate to where the file is, even though I opened the document from there.
I have experienced this problem ever since upgrading to Mavericks!
Also, the Save box is tiny! I always have to expand it to see the folder contents etc
Hope this all makes sense and appreciate any help you can offer
Please note it doesn't help either way if I use Save (cmd-s) or Save As (cmd-shift-s). My colleague is also experiencing the same problem since upgrading to Mavericks.
    Thanks

Ive just posted this but have been directed to this thread...
Recently updated mac to Mavericks and a few teething problems to say the least, a few quirky bits in the adobe software programs which Im asking if anyone else is experiencing.
Open a file in illustrator, save as, click to the new window and file where i need at saved and the window totally disappears.
To 'save as' I have to save the file to the desktop, click the folder and change the name. Unable to 'Save as' to a different file as well.
Not the end of the world but irritating!
    using Creative Cloud
Im also having problems with indesign, importing an image to an image box and the window vanished - having to drag and drop from desktop to layout.
Help and suggestions from Adobe please?

  • Anybody having trouble saving video stabilizer effect?

Every time I render a segment with the Video Stabilizer and view it, it works fine but then when I save the project and open it again I see that same red line over the segment I just rendered and saved. All the other effects I render turn green and stay that way through a save. Only the stabilizer stays red. Oh yeah its a real processor hog to render as well.

  • Having trouble saving an image of the whole page using pdf it. I click save, but not in the file. I have tried saving in multiple locations, saing it as .jpg

Just about 2 days ago I started having a problem saving a jpg file using the "pdf it!" add-on. It lets me save, but when I look in the folder there is nothing there? I use save as image and then whole page. I have tried saving in several different locations, but nothing works.
    Thanks for the help.

  • Are you having trouble Saving a copy of a pdf document in Adobe X? Well here is the solution!!!!

Use another Web browser! There are confirmed problems with IE8 and Firefox. Opera works just fine, and I am assuming since Google is 'tea-bagging' just about everyone (or everyone is 'tea-bagging' Google, I'm not really sure) that it probably works in Chrome. There! Problem solved! Adobe sucks!

You can create a script that will lock the fields before signing. But when you edit the document after the student signs, the signature will no longer be valid and the document will show that it has been changed after signing. Adobe restricts the number of files you can collect information on with forms that can be saved and emailed. The restriction used to be 500 files unless you purchased the appropriate LiveCycle product to enable the pdf files for saving.
Why in the world are you requiring potential students to sign forms. Many students will not know how to sign pdf files. Just have a button that will submit the information to a website for you to extract or to send you the information in an FDF file and import the information form. You can have a button that will lock the fields they fill out. This will ensure you do not have to worry about the 500 file limit.
