I'm having trouble syncing all of my albums to my iphone

For some reason, when I downloaded the updated software on my old phone (3GS), a lot of my photo albums were unable to sync to my phone from my Mac. This had never happened before. I knew I was getting the new iphone 4S anyday in the mail, so I thought maybe it would work with the new phone, but I'm havilng the same problem. My most recent albums seem to be fine syncing to my iphone, however, the older albums only sync videos and no photos.

Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for the iPod Photo Cache.
Trash it. Start iPhoto and try sync again.

Having trouble syncing all of my apps from my computer to my 3Gs iphone. Computer says that I have 13 pages of apps, phone only has 11. How can I sync the other pages to my phone?

Your apps are probably on the iphone. Have you done a search?
There are only11 pages available to show apps. The apps are on there, they just cannot just be displayed on the page, unless you put them in folders.

I am having trouble syncing ALL my music to my laptop (PC)

I received a PC laptop for Christmas this year, and I wanted to make this computer my computer for my itunes and iphone. Previously, all of my iTunes was done through the desktop computer I successfully syncned all of the PURCHASED music, that was saved to the iCloud. My issue is that I can't seem to get my uploaded music (from CDs) that was on the desktop computer onto the new (PC) laptop. I've downloaded the most recent iTunes download, plugged it in, and tried just about everything I can think of. iTunes DOES recognize my iPhone by name, and everything else seems very normal, except for the fact that some of my music (the CDs) isn't there.

You can sync/manually mange iphone with one and only one computer. If you sync/manually mange to anther, then it will erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer.
What "trouble" are you having?

Having troubles getting all the music off of my iphone 4 ..its all unchecked on my library when its plugged in but when I sync on the computer it douse not come off the phone and all the music is still there.

They will be removed from your iPhone but nothing will be removed from iTunes on your computer.

How are you trying to do it ? If you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you may want to enable the left-hand sidebar via option-command-S if you are using a Mac, control-S if using a PC.
To sync books, connect the phone to your computer and select it on that left-hand sidebar, and on the right-hand side of iTunes select the Books tab :
You should then be able to select which books/PDFs that you want to sync to the iBooks app (and/or which audiobooks to sync to the Music app).
Is that how you are trying to do it ?

Having trouble syncing iPad to get movies onto it.....any ideas?

For some reason I am having trouble syncing movies onto my iPad. They are in my iTunes library, I check the box hit apply/sync then nothing.

It appears that when I sync it seems the sync is syncing the computer with the iPad not iPad with computer.
I have delegated all movies on iPad when I check some movies on iTunes it adds the purple bar at the bottom and availability of space decreases accordingly. When I hir apply/sync it goes through the process then when finishes step four the purple bar at the bottom goes and available space increases again.

There is a whole lot of bad going on there.
There are problems both drive errors and USB errors. I don't believe it.
I have a hunch the drive is starving for power.
USB devices are supposed to function all the way down to 4.25V. Not all do.
USB ports are supposed to be able to deliver 4.25V at the end of the cable at 500mA. Not all do.
USB 2.0 devices are not supposed to draw more than 100mA unless they negotiate for more. Some violate that.

My guess is that your drive is drawing excess current and the voltage drop through the port and cable are dropping you below 4.25; or at least below the voltage that your drive goes "Tango Uniform"[1]. Does your drive have the option for external power? If so try it. Following up on wtx's comment; USB 3.0 is capable of delivering more power. Also, some drives have used a cable that violates just about every aspect of the USB specification: A "Y" cable that plugs into two host ports to provide more power to the guest. I despise this solution with every fiber of my electrical engineering existence; never-the-less, you might try one.

Yes, that's correct. If you don't have the songs that are currently on your iPod also in your new iTunes installation, they will be erased from the iPod if you sync it. Best to start afresh by first transferring all the music on your iPod back to your new computer/iTunes library.
For iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.

For all other non purchased content (your own CDs etc), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it is a little more involved than other methods.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Other free programs are Pod Player, SharePod and Floola.
If you want to recover just the structure of playlists from the iPod (and not the actual song files themselves), there's iRepo for Windows. which I understand has this feature along with all the standard features for these programs.
iPodRip also has the feature enabling you to reconstruct playlists.
There is also CopyTrans. This does preserve ratings/playcounts etc if those are important to you but this program is not free. It also supports video transfer.
Once all the music is safely back in your new iTunes library, you can sync your iPod as normal.

Is anyone having trouble syncing photos ?

Some of my photos were messed up digitally, and had color blocks at the top or bottom, lighter areas in half the photo, the bottom half of the photo would be offset by a few pixels and just generally messed up. Some even looked color smeared (best way I can describe what I was seeing). After an exhaustive trial and error campaign, calling tech support once and taking the phone in to an Apple store, I finally have put my finger on the problem (I believe). I am running a Raid 1 setup with two identical drives. Each time I would sync photos to the iPhone I would have the problem. I had recently bought a USB/ATA external drive box and put one of my old harddrives in it that I wanted to recover some photos from. When I would transfer my pictures over to the single USB harddrive, and point iTunes to that location my photos would sync fine. I believe it is the Raid setup that is causing the problem. Raid must handle some files in such a way that Apple did not take in to consideration. I have called this in to tech support. I seem to be the only one with the problem so far.

Is it an Intel Matrix Storage Manager, or something

This is a great post. I am an the IT administrator at my office. 1 of 7 employees were having trouble syncing photo's. All 7 employees are using a version of VIST OS.
I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, iTunes, Quick Time, Apple Mobile Device Support, and Apple Software Update several times. I deleted/edited registry, turned off all firwalls, etc. I still could not sync photo's. Seeing how this was a ne computer I asked the employee where the photo's were transferred from and she handed me a 60G WD Passport. I then proceeded to sync the photo's directly from the external drive to the iPhone, and.....every photo synced. I was hoping not have to contact apple support, so thanks.

- Unsyncing all music and resysncing
- Restoring the iPod
