  • I am having trouble syncing my iphone 4s to my mac 10.4.11

I am having trouble syncing my iphone 4s to the Itunes 9.2.1.I tried to update the Itunes ,but my mac is too old and would not accept the latest version of itunes. Is there anything more i can do  ,short of buying a new computer?

Syncing an iPhone 4S running iOS 6.1.3 or earlier requires at least a G4 Mac running 10.5.8.
Syncing an iPhone 4S running iOS 7 requires at least an Intel Mac running 10.6.8.
If your computer can't be upgraded to the required OS version, buy a secondhand or refurbished one which can.

  • Is anyone else having trouble syncing an iphone using bluetooth?

Is anyone else having trouble syncing an iphone using bluetooth? I get a message that says pared , but not connected.

    Everyone!
You can't syncing your iPhone via blutooth. BT is only for hands-free and tethering. You can sync via cable or wi-fi.only.

  • I'm having trouble connecting my iphone to my itunes on my computer

So for christmas I got an iPhone and currently, I'm having trouble connecting my iPhone to my iTunes on my computer. If I get on my computer and open my iTunes, I can use it perfectly fine but once I tried to connect my phone to it, it told me the software needed to be updated before it would work with my phone. I went to the website and tried downloading the updated version 10 times but every time it told me it couldn't connect with an apple device or something. So then I tried just going to my downloads and stuff and moving the actual song straight to my phone but it would always tell me my device has ended or has been disconnected. All I'm trying to do is move some songs onto my phone from my computer. They weren't purchased straight from iTunes so it's not showung up in my "purchased" on my phone. (I think I got them from amazon and some are cds that I my computer that I got years ago. Maybe thats why they don't show up in the purchased?) Anyway, how can I fix this? I have a windows computer if that can help at all. Thanks!!!

Also, I just opened my iTunes on my computer then plugged my phone to the computer and a box popped up saying "This iPhone cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device is not started"
I have no idea what that means.
I don't have that option on the side that says what device is connected so I can't sync or anything.

  • TS4062 I am having trouble syncing my iphone to my computer when I plug in the usb and click on the devices button sync is not highlighted

I am having trouble getting my iphone synced with my computer. I have tried both wifi and with a usb the sync tab under devices is not highlighted and can not be clicked.

Is this the same computer/library the device has always synced with?  Was the computer recently reloaded?

  • I am having trouble syncing my iphone to mac

i just bought a new mac, and i have attempted to sync my iphone wireless.  the "sync now" under itunes wi-fi sync does not , or will not work.  any ideas why?
both the mac and the iphone are on a shared home wifi. is there a setting im missing in which my phone has to be "authorized"?

On the Mac, wi-fy sync requires Bonjour, and Bonjour requires IPv6.
IPv6 MUST be enabled in the Network panel of System Preferences.
For me, just doing this solved the wi-fi sync problem. When I made that change, my iPad and iPhone both appeared immediately in iTunes.

  • ITunes having trouble syncing to my iPad?

Okay I have been having so many problems since the newest iTunes update. I was trying to buy a song on my iTunes for the Mac, and when I went to sync my iPad it removed 39 songs from my iPad. I tried to sync yet again to get these songs back and it said 39 songs could not be copied onto your iPad because they have not been found. This puzzled me because they had always worked before, and suddenly they stopped working. Half of these songs were songs that I purchased on iTunes so that's what's confusing me the most. The other songs are songs from a CD that I downloaded. Is iTunes really being that cheap now that you have to buy every single song from them and can't even burn CDs on iTunes anymore? It's pathetic. I am getting so frustrated with Apple. It seems like with every iTunes update there have been more problems.
I have tried manually syncing these songs separate from my library by artist and album, and nothing seems to work. I have tried just about everything at this point. I am so upset as some of these songs that aren't dowloading are some of my favorite songs. If anyone knows how I can fix this I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you

Your second troubleshooting step should always be updating iTunes. To make sure your up to date you do:
MAC>click to on iTunes to make it the active window click iTunes>Check for updates...
    WINDOWS>click Help>Check for updates...
If your iTunes is up to date restart both devices the iPad and the computer your transferring music from.
Make sure your computer is signed in to your appleID and that you purchases are all downloaded on you system by:
    Clicking Store>Check for available downloads...
This ensures that all purchased content has been recieved from your iTunes Store as the content your trying to sync MUST be present on the system your transferring from.
    Click Edit>Preferences
Click "Devices" at the top right
Put a checkmark in the box beside "Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically"
    Plug in  your iPad
Click the name of your iPad to display the Device Summary page
Click on Music at the top
Put a check in sync music manually
All items on your computer available to sync will be displayed select the items your wish to transfer and click sync in the bottom right
This should manually sync the content your looking for.
You can then turn automatic sync back on by:
    Click Edit>Preferences
Click "Devices" at the top right
Remove the checkmark in the box beside "Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically"
This can be an issue generally when iTunes doesn't have the content, your trying to sync to much content.
Remember that if your trying to sync a playlist it requires all the music to be present in it's orignal state to process.
