I'm having trouble syncing with icloud. I'm trying to sync my iphone & my new ipad. HELP
go to Settings -> iCloud -> Account make sure you are using the same account on both devices. then you can select what you want synced to the cloud. once you have chosen what you want to sync the devices should update to match each other. this may take a few minutes for the devices to sync up.

I just upgraded to IOS6, and now my ipad is full of pictures I did not choose to sync.
I cannot delete them without deleting them from all sources.
Actually, the message is when I go to hit EDIT, select a picture, and then choose DELETE: "This photo is used in an album. Do you want to delete it everywhere? Delete Everywhere"
Does that mean "Everywhere" on my iPad, or everywhere including whatever place on my computer it found the photos to begin with?

To delete photos from your device
In iTunes, select the device icon in the Devices list on the left. Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
Choose "Sync photos from."
On a Mac, choose iPhoto or Aperture from the pop-up menu.
On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
Click Apply.You can still sync the photos and keep the photos that are already on the device. You have to include all of the albums or events in the pictures folder that you sync from. If you are using iPhoto, select that in the Sync Photos from drop down menu and then select all of the albums or events that you want to sync. Make sure to check Selected Albums, events, faces and automatically include (no events). Using that option will allow you to choose exactly which albums and events to sync.
You have to remember that all photos must be included in every sync so you cannot sync photos from iPhoto today and then try to sync photos from another folder tomorrow, or you will erase all of the photos that were synced from iPhoto. You need to maintain one main Photos syncing folder for the photos that you want to transfer to the iPad. You can have subfolders within that one main folder and you can selectively sync those subfolders. You just have to place all of the photos that you want to sync into one main iPad syncing photos folder.
There are WiFi transfer apps that allow you to transfer photos to the iPad without having to sync with iTunes. I use this one. This app (and others like it) will allow you to use multiple computers to transfer photos.

If you are the original owner of the phone and know the Apple ID and password that were used to activate it originally, and if you have an existing backup to restore from, you can force it into recovery mode (which will completely erase it) and restore it as explained here: If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. When you do you will encounter activation lock, and will have to provide the ID and password used to activate it originally in order to activate it again. If you can't, you won't be able to activate and use it.

Ipod Touch having trouble syncing with my MacBookPro (I have 2.0.2 update)
Well, my Ipod Touch is not able to sync with my MacBookPro and Itunes. I have the 2.0.2 update, and I know it messes things up, but I've had it since the day it was released and I haven't had trouble syncing before, so I don't think that is the problem. I plug my Ipod Touch in, my computer recognizes it and my Ipod starts to charge... than it starts to sync and after 30 seconds at the most, usually after 5-10 seconds, my ipod goes to the home screen like nothing happened(nothing syncs), and itunes does one of three things. It either: continues to think its syncing to my ipod, it acts as if the Ipod has been unplugged, or it goes to my Ipods summary page as if it was syncing, though nothing is syncing.
What should I do, I've tried to be as detailed as possible, but if more detail is needed, just ask.
Thanks in advance to all who can helpI have this problem too, but on an iPhone 3g rather than a Touch. I basically cannot sync calendars at all so any calendar additions i need on my mac i just have to enter manually. It's been like this since August despite many attempt to do a restore and fix it. I even tried clearing out all my calendars thinking that perhaps there were too many entries. Anyone have any ideas?

I realise MobileMe is going, so to carry on syncing I need to get icloud, but am I right in thinking I need Lion?
I have 10.6.8 on my iMac at the minute, so what is the next step and how do I keep it the way it was beacuse everything was working just fine!
Although having said that since the update last night my iPhone doesn't want to sync with my ical! I don't suppose anyone can help with that? I suspect it's setting in the phone as ical syncs to iPhone just not the other way round?!
Please can any help, it's driving me potty!

I am having a problem with my icloud. So here is the story. I had iphone 4. My contacts were backed. Someone stole my iphone. I got a new iphone 4s. My contacts did not sync from my previous iphone 4. so someone told me to restore to iphone 4 backup. I did. And wow! i got all my contacts back. I want all my contacts to be saved. And i don't want to lose them, it took me a while to build this list properly. With email and number and address.
Here is what i tried so far, i backed up from itunes to computer, then backup to icloud, then I did from my phone, i turned the contact switch on also, and the swtich on to back up to icloud. When I go to icloud.com. it's not there. If anyone can help me with this issue I would appreciate it. because i have a lot of contacts, and I need to save them in a way, I won't ever lose them.You would need to backup into icloud again also if you have enough room to backup. If not purchase more icloud backup or backup to itunes. Sync your contacts back to your email where they will always be.

Ok so long story short I have a mac, a MacBook Pro and two iPhones in the house, one is mine one is my mums.
I only recently bought the MacBook Pro, I turned iCloud on on it and used my iCloud account to sync with my phone and now it has:
A) deleted all my contacts from my phone and MacBook
B) replaced them with the contacts from my mums phone
C) deleted iCal from the main Mac
The problem is none of these are supposed to be linked, mum and I don't share the same apple id or log in details, so I don't know why/how this is happening.
Also I went I onto the main mac to try and see if it was an iCloud issue and there doesn't seem to be iCloud installed on the system at all, it just gives and option for "mobile me" and then asks me to install it/activate it.
Can anyone give me any clues as to why this night be happening? And how I can get my contacts back and keep the two phones and computers completely separate?

Last Resort, put the iPhone in DFU mode (Google How to do that). Connect in iTunes. Follow on-screen prompts to Restore. All Data would be lost, if not backed up earlier.
To save the photographs you may have to use third party software. Google is your friend. -
I have adobe premiere elements 10 and I am having some problems with it please help
So here are the problems I'm having with Adobe Premiere Elements 10:
1. Transitions will not load. The word loading pops up and it won't come up.
2. The videos won't play smoothly. When I press play it skipps in a way it won't play smooth which makes it really hard to edit.
3. Keeps closing out on me. It will have a thing that pops up that says "Adobe premiere elements has stopped working and closes out of the program. It does it constantly.
Please help me I don't know what is wrong with it.The first two issues sound like a video driver problem.
What is the make/model of your video card/chip?
What is the installed video driver number and date?
For the last issue, it could be many things, including the video driver. I'd look over this ARTICLE, and if there is nothing in the first part, then move on to tuning up the OS an computer in the second part. That would probably be a good time to post the full specs. of your computer, and also both your Project and Source footage. Finally, part three covers many troubleshooting tips, and furnishes many links.

Having trouble installing itunes 7 PLEASE help!
I"m having trouble installing my itunes 7. everytime i click download, nothing happens. the page just refreshes itself. i have tried it a million times and i'm afraid to uninstall and install itunes cause i wont be able to import my 6,000 songs again---most of the cds are scratched by now
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! I'm having withdrawal!!! My list of songs to buy is severly backing up!those symptoms can sometimes be caused by pop-blockers or web acceleration software.
if you switch off all your pop-up blockers and/or accelerators, does the download start for you? -
Syncing with iTunes, please help!
I cannot for the life of me get my iPhone to sync with iTunes... I recently had to restore my computer completely, and as a result downloaded the new iTunes, as everything on my computer was wiped out. I also changed from one account to another on my phone at around the same time, and the phone number changed. I don't know if either of these could affect syncing or not. I have tried ALL iTunes suggested troubleshooting, down to uninstalling EVERYTHING to do with iTunes and reinstalling it. Nothing is working, please please help! I'm so frustrated.
Is your computer authorized? Is your phone recognized in itunes? If yes, did you restore your phone? Can you transfer your purchases from the phone to the computer?

Iphone deleted all phone numbers when synced with Exchange, Please Help!!
We recently received new Iphones for the Administrative staff and thought that like other Smartphones we've used in the past that syncing with Exchange would be a breeze. After doing a bit of research everything pointed towards it being a very simple process, this is the process I followed:
Open up Itunes with Iphone connected
Click your iPhone in the "Devices" section on the left
Click the "Info" tab
In the Contacts section, check "Sync contacts with" and select "Outlook"
Click "All Contacts"
Click the "Sync" button in iTunes lower-right corner
Click "Merge", so that your contacts on your iPhone are preserved
This seemed to work but there is one major problem, all of the contacts on the Iphone and the ones imported into Outlook no longer have any phone numbers associated to them. The contacts were all synced into Outlook/Exchange no problem with their respective emails but with no phone numbers at all. Unfortunately the computer which had the backup of this Iphone was recently decommissioned so I have no backup of the phone in its previous state.
Is there any way to recover the old phone numbers/contacts on the phone without having a backup of it in its previous state? I have tried the "Import Sim Contacts" button in the settings on the phone but it doesn't seem to actually do anything. There are over 100 contacts on this particular phone, some of which the phone numbers will be very difficult to retrieve again.
I have to say that I'm not very impressed that the most popular smartphone out there can't even sync with the largest email platform in the enterprise world properly. If anybody can help me retrieve those numbers some how I would be extremely appreciative.tbradley wrote:

If you are syncing directly with Outlook, there are options in iTunes to determine which set of contacts takes priority when duplicates are found. Personally I do not use this. I have my device set up to sync directly with the exchange server so all changes are made directly on the server.
Personally I would recommend against using Outlook as the intermediary. You will get much more consistent and reliable results if the iPhone syncs directly with the exchange server and no worries if the end user has not synced the device in days/weeks/months. -

I have a bunch of songs on my ipod that I have from my previous computer and they will not sync with Itunes on my new computer. I have authorized the computer, I have also selected the "transfer purchases from ipod" option, I have spent the last day reading through FAQs but have found no solution. How do I fix the problem? The transfer purchases option only works with music purchased from iTunes and you don't say if this is the case.
Here's some other option for Windows users.
First, try this method which works on some Windows PCs.
Enable your iPod for disk use.
See: iPod Disk Use.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it can be messy.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Another free program is Pod Player. -
