I'm having trouble with my hotmail (msn). It works fine with explorer but I prefer Firefox, please help.

I can login to my email but once there I cannot open, move or delete anything, I put something out on a blog and one other person had the same problem. I tried Explorer and my email works fine. Problem has to be with firefox. I'm running ver 3.6.17

I am having trouble with the jQuery tabs browser. Please help!!!!!!!!

I inserted the jQuery tabs browser and it is not working properly. I was just testing it so I haven't changed some of the coding yet or the wording. The problem is that when I test it in live view it shows actual tabs but when I look it up on the remote server it shows the word tab and then has paragraphs under each word. I want the tabs. Having trouble with condenser microphone and Logic Pro. please help

I purchased a condenser microphone that runs only with phantom power. I have an XLR cable from the mic into the phantom power interface and have an XLR to USB plugged into my computer, when i go to logic audio preferences it doesnt show that the microphone is even connected (ive checked input and output). Ive even tried it on other programs and i still get nothing. Please Help.

Trying to get an idea of your signal chain as, in your original post, your signal chain makes little sense. Do you have an audio interface or is that the phantom power interface you are referring to? A microphone isn't an interface and a mic, in itself, won't show up in Logic prefs (unless it was a USB mic, which it is not).

Having trouble with icloud on my Iphone 4, please help!

It keeps telling me to accept the new terms and conditions in order to use icloud, but whenever i hit "view terms" it takes me no where. I deleted and signed back into my icloud account twice and shut my phone off twice. I just deleted the account all together but the error STILL POPS UP! I can't get rid of it! Since have everything backed up on my computer so i don't really need it. Is there any way to get rid of icloud and this pop up?

So, after tinkering a bit bit with everything again I finally got it to work. For anyone having the same issue as me, here is what I did to fix my problem...
1) Power everything fully off (router, modem, iPhone, and unplug AE)
2) With everything fully powered down, wait about 15-30 seconds to make sure everything properly resets
3) Plug in your wireless router and wait for it to fully boot/cycle to normal operation
4) When your router is fully up, plug in your AE and wait for it to fully boot/cycle to normal operation (should see solid green light to confirm it has joined the wireless network)
5) When AE is fully up and operational, plug in your modem and again wait for it to fully boot/cycle to normal operation
6) Now that everything else has been reset and rebuilt from the ground up, power on you iPhone
7) When you go into your music player, you should see the airplay icon and can now stream media through your AE.
....hopefully this will work for you, though it is kind of a pain to power up one at a time and waiting in between. Please still post if you know of a more efficient way to accomplish this task!

I downloaded it and installed it, when I go to javac or compile the thing it says "Bad Command or filename" However it will Java it but there's no use in that if I can't javac it. Anyone have a solution to this?

Set your path by editing your autoexec.bat file (copy it b4 you change it for safety sake) on win98 or from control panel on NT.

Its a step by step lesson on getting things like path and classpath (you prob dont have to set classpath ) set for windows or linux or macs so you dont have to do something like the following each time you want to compile something
or do this on windows 98

(you understand that C:\jdk1.3.0_1\bin\javac should be whatever the path is to javac on your machine)

They show up with safari but not firefox. I've read that publishing to mobile me solves it but I publish to my hard drive and ftp to my host (not mobile me).

Drop shadows, borders etc are a bad idea in that they increase the file size and the download time of your page.
Create your image, drop shadow etc on your iWeb page, take a screenshot, crop it and replace the original image with the, much reduced, JPEG>

I am having trouble with Canon scanner Presto!BizCard 5 HELP

I am trying to use the Canon P-215 scanner to get my business cards to scan using the software Canon sent with the unit. The CD says BizCard 5 and the Canon rep couldn't get it to work with my MacBook Pro....said it was a disk "cleaning" issue with Apple... The Canon guy doesn't know mac...please help me use the scanner to scan business cards, has anyone used BizCard with Mac? THanks...Please Help!!

Do you have alot of apps running in background? Tap home key 2 times and there's a list across screen with icons you can deselect them by hold on one and they wiggle touch the minus button and it will deactivate them untill you use them again. Do you have the phone dim after so many seconds or minutes? Is the screen bright all time? Do you go on the Internet or watch video on phone?
These things can affect the hrs of use.

Having trouble with global extension installation on Firefox 3.6.3

I am having trouble installing extensions globally on Firefox 3.6.3. As you know the -install-global-extension switch has been removed and you cannot point to the XPI in the registry any more. What I have done to get the extension ID and confirm it has unpacked successfully is to install the extensions as me into my own profile, which works fine and the extensions launch successfully (PROVING THEY ARE COMPATIBLE), then closing Firefox and cutting the folder from %appdata%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\4sd8sico.default\extensions and pasting into %programfiles%\Mozilla Firefox\extensions. However when I do this the extension fails to launch, and when I go into the Addons manager it always says "Not compatible with Firefox 3.6.3".
Any ideas please? I have tried this with both Keyscrambler and Public Fox and they both do the same thing.

You'll need to unpack the xpi package and modify the install.rdf file in it. Look for em:maxVersion and change the version number to whatever you have installed to make it work.
I was having the same issue with the ireader addon. It would install fine in the local profile but kept getting flagged incompatible whenever I moved it to the global extensions directory.
Unpacking the package and changing the em:maxVersion attribute in install.rdf to 9.0 fixed the issue for me.

I just got a new Mac G4 from my neighbor, who happens to be older, so the computer is still in great condition. The only problem is, he doesn't remember the login password! So I can start the computer, but I can't actually login. And I've tried to put the Panther reboot disc in and the restart it, but it doesn't do anything. None of the discs will even try to load when I put them in to restart the computer. Its not like the HP computer I have, whereas if I put the reboot disc in it actually works.
This is my first Mac computer and I'm not really familiar with them that much, so if some one could point me in the right direction, other than taking it to an actual retailer and having to pay them a bundle of money to fix it, I would greatly appreciate it.

Having problems with HP6980 printer and Windows 7, please help

I just replaced my XP computer with a new HP computer running Windows 7. Each time I turn on my HP 6980 printer, it won't print. When I go to Devices and Printers, I see that it is offline. I have to delete the printer and reinstall it to make it work and this solution is only good for the session. I have to repeat the process each time that I turn on the computer. Please help.

Having trouble with Hyperlinks in Indesign CS6 Can Anyone Help?

I'm creating an ebook. I've created my hyperlinks - like I always do - Hyperlink destination for Chapter Number and New Hyperlink in the Table of Contents. It works when I check it in Indesign but when I export the epub file and open it in Digital Editions or Calibre there is no evidence of a hyperlink. As if I didn't create any. Tried everything.
Could it be something in the Microsoft Word doc. I imported into Indesign?

I'm having trouble with my screen display. Could you help?

My screen (iMac Intel) is not displaying correctly. My menu items are off the screen. I'm wondering if I hit some kind of key commands, but am not sure what has happened. If I scroll to the edge of the screen, I can find them, but everything else on the other side moves over. I've tried restarting and that isn't helping. Any suggestions please?

Check your display settings, but I suspect you've accidentally zoomed the screen. If you go to System Preferences, Accessibility and then Zoom you may find that you've accidentally switched on screen zoon.
