I'm having trouble with my iCloud photos. I thought i could be a little sneaky and take a photo of my photos that were more than 30 days old, so they would be uploaded along with my new photos. that part worked, but i can't upload them to Snapfish?!

Any thoughts? I'm bummed. I've got a few hundred photos on my iPhone that I'd like to move seemlessly - or somehow at all.

In iTunes select all songs you want in the same album, right click the selection, choose "get info", type the album name in the album field, click OK.

Text that spans more than one cell in a JTable
Hi all.
I have a JTable where I've altered the renderer so that it looks like I have columns that span more than one cell.

From that image though you will notice that the text (which is based in a JLabel) is truncated.
I need this text to span the available cells so was wondering about the best way of doing it.
I could:
1) When I know that the text won't fit, don't draw anything at all with the renderer but make a note of it and then in the paintComponent method of the JTable, paint the text in the appropriate position once the rendering has been done.
2) Provide a custom renderer that draws as much of the text as possible up to the right edge, and then have an adjacent cell renderer paint the rest.
3) Use a different TableUI that when I know I need to span, uses a special renderer to stamp over the spanned cells...
4) other methods???
I was going to attempt choice 1) but thought I'd ask here first in case someone has had experience in this and knows the "correct" way to do it.
Is this the right way to go about it?

To create a new apple ID, if I sign out of the current Apple ID account, and then sign in with a newly created account, will I lose any songs or apps on my Iphone and Macbook Pro computer that were downloaded from the old apple ID?
No, you will not loose anything. However, if you ever need to update any of that previously purchased content, or re-download it, you will have to use the older AppleID. Purchases are permanently tied to the AppleID you use when making the purchase.

Hi, I tried to create a slideshow that contain more than 500 photos. Now, trying to open / execute / select the slideshow, iPhoto hangs with the spinning coloured wheel and I have only to force the deletion from System Preference. I already tried to rebuild the iPhoto Library (all the possible options) and tried to update teh version from 9.4.3 to 9.5 but the problem still persists: is there a way to delete this slideshow without selecting it ? How can I solve the problem, please?

If not, have you tried to rebuild the slideshow with iPhoto Library Manager?

can not pair my itouch with my mac book pro version 10.6.6 .. it seems that maybe my itouch is having trouble connecting as my mac seems to pair, then waits for my itouch and it never works. please help!!
I am not certain this will fix your problem but I suggest you assign the printer a static IP address.
Using the printer's front panel, select Menu > Network > WLAN > TCP/IP > Boot method, and change it to "static". Provide a static IP address that is on your LAN's subnet.
For example, if you are using an AirPort Extreme, you might give it an IP address of 10.0.1.100. If you are using a Netgear or Linksys router that defaults to issuing 192.168.x.x addresses, you might give it an address of 192.168.1.100. That way, the printer will always "reside at the same address" on your network. If your router has the ability, you should reserve that address so that the router does not attempt to assign it to another DHCP device.
Then, go to System Preferences > Print & Scan, and delete your existing printer with the "–" (minus) button. Add it again, using the "+" (plus) button. In the window that appears, select the IP pane, and from the Protocol menu select "Line Printer Daemon (LPD)". In the Address field type the IP address you gave your printer.
If all goes well the "Pring Using" field will detect the printer at that address and automatically select the appropriate driver. You will see something similar to the following screenshot ("name" can be whatever you decide, and "location" is optional):
Click Add, then you can close System Preferences.
There are other possible reasons your printer is "not responding" which could include wireless interference from competing wireless networks, but try this "static IP" method first. It should mitigate the problem. -

[email protected]I create new apps pretty rarely. This might be second nature to those people who create thousands of apps. But I don't recall it being very difficult. Also, I am only setup for the Mac App Store right now.
You just go into the Developer Certificate Utility via the link in the right hand sidebar.
There, go into "App IDs" and just "Create App ID" to create the app with the name and bundle ID that you want. I don't see anything for editing or deleting an App ID. Just create a new one with the name and ID you want. If you really want to re-use the name for the dead ID, you would probably have to contact Apple. I think your question might fall into the "Program Benefits" category.
Once you have an app name and bundle ID you are happy with, make your Xcode project match them. Then, in Xcode, use Product > Archive to validate and submit to the App Store. -
I am having trouble setting up icloud on MAC. In system preference it is listed as mobile me, it asks for member name and password. It also has a learn more button under "try mobileme for free". I am not getting anywhere
It's evident that you are using Snow Leopard or earlier (or very early Lion) since you have the now obsolete MobileMe preference pane.
The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.5 (Mountain Lion preferred): the iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is non non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.
To make use of iCloud you will have to upgrade your Mac to Lion or Mavericks, provided it meets the requirements.
The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available space
Lion is available in the Online Apple Store ($19.99). Mountain Lion (10.8.x) is also available there at the same price but there seems little point as the system requirements are the same for Mavericks (10.9.x) - which is free - unless you need to run specific software which will run on Mountain Lion only.
The requirements for Mountain Lion and Mavericks are:
OS X v10.6.8 or later
2GB of memory
8GB of available space
and the supported models are:
iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)

If you are running Leopard on an Intel Mac you will have to upgrade to Snow Leopard to access the Mac App Store - it's available in the online Apple Store. However if you have a PPC Mac you cannot run Snow Leopard and cannot proceed further. -

I'm trying to find a way to store my photo library on the cloud, AND keep to acces to each photos/videos from the net (not just storing the .iphotolibrary on the icloud folder) but i cant do it for the videos of more than 5min ...I believe you are probably referring to iCloud photo sharing. If you wait a while, the next version of Yosemite will include the new Photos application which will sync video through the iCloud photo library feature.

Im having trouble sending messages from my iPhone 4..ever since i upgraded to iOS 5, its giving me this problem. It says your SMS mailbox is full. Delete some messages to recieve new messages.
I've deleted around 10 huge conversations, rebooted it, restored it, done a soft and hard reset too. What should i do?my boyfriend restored his iphone as a brand new phone and still had this problem, he deleted all his text conversations except mine and his best friend's conversations still nothing, i told him to delete OUR conversation since its a 2 year conversation that he has NEVER deleted ..... he said YES!! we tried to delete it and the phone freezes as soon as we click on the CLEAR CONVERSATION button!!!! we tried about 5 times and this happened everytime we tried!!!! ....is like the phone doesnt wanna let go of our conversation!!! every other conversation he deleted the phone was fine except for when we try and delete ours!!
so yesterday he left his phone alone around 4 pm since we have the apple appointment today at 130pm.......around 11 pm last night his phone went NUTS receiving all the text messages i had sent and never received!!!! and now the phone works just fine!!! ...... CONFUSED?????? yeah we are too!!!
but we're still going to the apple store to see what they can tell us!!! -

I'm running Lion fine on my 2008 MBP (4,1. 2.4GHz C2D, 4GB) and late 2009 Mini (2.0GHz C2D, 8GB.) Minimum RAM for Lion is 2GB, but IMHO you really want 4GB. If you have a lot of apps open (or have demanding apps like Photoshop,) then get more RAM if you machine can handle it.
Also, make sure the rest of your apps or drivers are up to date before upgrading. Incompatible drivers for things like printers and such are what I've found to cause a lot of stability problems.
