I'm having trouble with my new subscription

I purchased the premium subscription to have unlimited calls to Mexico but every time I call, I immediately get cut off. I don't understand why this keeps happening because it says in my account details that my subscription is active so I'm assuming that it shouldn't be doing that. If it isn't going to work, than I need a refund because I've basically been cheated out of my money.

    Turned out the hardware was bad.  Apple exchanged it for a new Mac Air and the new trackpad works great.  Thank goodness it was a defect.  If the trackpads all worked like that I would have been bummed.

    I`m trying to install the new software the mac os X 10.0.3 and having trouble transfering all my files form the mac os 9.2.2 classic to my new system...Do i have to erase my hard drive to do a clean install???? Could I transfer my files to my home`s computer, instead of buying a portable smartdisk hard drive of 100 Gb, and then so i could transfer my fiels back to my mac without no trouble ????

    Hi, John. If you weren't having trouble with Mac OS 10.0.3, it would be a major surprise. OS X 10.0.x and 10.1.x were unusable beta versions and never should have been released, in the view of most people who ever tried to run them. It would be a severe trial of your patience and a waste of your time to install 10.0.3 on your Mac.
    If you want to run OS X, buy OS X 10.2.x (Jaguar), 10.3.x (Panther) or the current version, 10.4 (Tiger). All are available at reasonable prices from AppleRescue. Tiger is also available from any Apple retailer. Carefully read the system requirements for whichever version you prefer, and be sure your computer meets them before buying. If your Powerbook only has a 10GB hard drive, install a larger one (at least 40GB is sensible, since the cost per gigabyte of smaller drives is now exorbitant compared with larger units) before bothering to install OS X.
    It would be most advisable to copy everything on your current hard drive to an external FireWire hard drive, then reformat and erase the internal drive before installing OS X on it. Doing so insures that your data is all safe and that your internal drive is in tip-top condition when the new OS is installed. After performing the installation, you can copy the contents of the external drive back onto the internal drive. The external drive will then be available as backup space for the entire contents of the internal drive, including OS X, all your applications, and all your data.
    While OS 9 is still installed on your hard drive, check to make sure your Powerbook's firmware is up to date. It will need to be brought up to date while running OS 9, before you install OS X 10.2 or higher. Here is the updater for your 500MHz Tibook:

  • Having trouble with making new internet tabs and windows

    When I open a new tab or new window, some small blank black windows appear and disappear right away. I have tried running virus scans, uninstalling unnecessary programs and deleting memory but they still pop up. Also after the blank windows disappear, there is a "not responding" after the blank windows disappear, for about 10 seconds and then resumes normal

    Well first, the version of Firefox you are running is EXTREMELY old and insecure. Please update to Firefox 11 right away. [[Updating Firefox]] can help you with that.
    After doing that, if you are still having issues, Try to start Firefox in [[Safe mode|Safe mode]]. This mode disables all extensions, user customizations, hardware acceleration, etc. temporarily for diagnostic and troubleshooting. If Firefox works fine in Safe Mode, then this is likely an add-on issue. Restart Firefox in normal mode, then type "About:addons" (without the quotes) in the address bar. Disable your extensions one by one, restarting Firefox between each one, until you find the trouble maker. Once you do, you can disable that add-on and report the issue to that add-on's developer.
    A few other basic trouble shooting things you can try is this:
    Run all Windows Updates, install all needed service packs, etc.
    Update your graphics driver (Firefox uses your graphics card for some rendering, and an out of date graphics card driver can cause problems. [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers].

    Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. [http://www.malwarebytes.org/ http://www.malwarebytes.org/]. This helps check that there are no viruses on your computer causing issues. You can uninstall this program after you clean off any infections.

  • I am having trouble with my new Mac....Help please

    I just got a new Mac G4 from my neighbor, who happens to be older, so the computer is still in great condition. The only problem is, he doesn't remember the login password! So I can start the computer, but I can't actually login. And I've tried to put the Panther reboot disc in and the restart it, but it doesn't do anything. None of the discs will even try to load when I put them in to restart the computer. Its not like the HP computer I have, whereas if I put the reboot disc in it actually works.
    This is my first Mac computer and I'm not really familiar with them that much, so if some one could point me in the right direction, other than taking it to an actual retailer and having to pay them a bundle of money to fix it, I would greatly appreciate it.

  • Having trouble with the new update!

    I recently just did the update with the OS X Yosemite and I hate it! I noticed that iTunes has a new update and I keep hitting the update button and it says it has been updated but the notification thing will not go away.  I've tried quitting iTunes, restarting my laptop and shutting it off for about 5 minutes and it is still there! 

    Thank you so much! It worked! I wouldn't have thought downloading it again would fix the problem.

  • Im having trouble with the new mountain lion upgrade!

    I bought the new upgrade and this is whats coming up....The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed.

    Delete the installer and re download the ML. The installer is corrupted. it happens if you have unstable internet connection or slow connection.

    sorry when I try to update any app it will ask for my password (which I have checked and changed on a number of occasion now,) then seems to try for a while and then just stops and goes back to needs updating. I can access my account on computer and have re checked all info is correct but iPhone and iPad just won't update an app. This has been going on now for the last few weeks.

  • Having trouble with the "New Project" tab on the main menu.

    Whenever I open garageband, the new project window doesn't display all of the icons. It only shows the Voice, Podcast, and Movie icons and none of these show the picture anymore. It used to start up fine and this just started happening a couple days ago. Has anyone else had this problem?

    Hello. I recently purchased my first computer. The guy at the store recommended that I should buy a macintosh because they are easy to use. He told me I should get a metal macbook because it is fast. My cousin who is the computer expert in this family put a folder on the wallpaper with a bad name and I tried to delete it by pushing it into the trash but it just stays there. I keep clicking the trash to delete the trash but it just stays there! I don't want my parents to think I have a bad folder on my computer. I was about to drive over to the computer store but then I figured that guy would charge me and the store's pretty far away too. I'm growing impatient with this computer. Can anybody please help me?

  • Since installing the new OS i am having troubles with different appliction icons showing up on my main page twice (upper left corner), and not allowng me to select certain ones (app store specifically).   Anyone else having this issue?

    Help - anyone else out there having trouble with the new OS system on their ipad 2?    I am not getting mutliple copies of several apps ont he main page.  They are "collecting: in a pike int he upper left corner and the original application icon is no lobger working.    I have tried a hard sync, and that didn't help.

    It should only be able to have one copy of an app on the iPad. Have you tried a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
    Do all the apps work ? In the past a few people have taken a screen shot of their iPad screen and that has then become their background picture - so some of the 'app's may actually be on your wallpaper picture and not actual apps. Have you tried changing the wallpaper to see if that makes any difference ?
