I'm having troubles with Mail. Some mails (in particular to gmail addresses) are not sent. When sending an email, Mail apparently works for a while but does'nt sent anything. I repeated sending the mail with the same result and 2 or more mails in the draft folder. Yesterday I discovered that the mail had been sent 4 times!. Now I have the same problem: the mail has not been sent, it appears in the draft folder, I try to delete it but the mail remains in the draft folder. This happens after updating to Mac OS X 10.7.2 and migrating to iCloud.
I have MacBook 2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 Mb ram memory, Mac OS X Lion (10.7.2).
If those music are greyed out in iTunes on your laptop, are you able to play the music? If you cannot, it means that you probably deleted the mp3 file or moved it to another location where iTunes can no longer find. If they are greyed out on iTunes and cannot play them, I would just right click and delete it. Then re-sync with your iPad.

I have an iPad 3, iPad Mini and iPhone 5S and they are all sluggish on capitalisation using shift keys. I hope that Apple will solve the problem because it is driving me crazy.
I find using a Microsoft Surface and Windows 8 phone, which I also have, work as well as all the ios devices before the ios 7 upgrade.
It has something to do with the length of time that you need to hold the shift key down. The shift key needs to be held longer than the letter key for the capitalisation to work. For some reason, this is a major change in the way we have learnt to touch type on computers. I am having to relearn how to type!

I too had this issue. I was recently an employee and user of Comcast and they do not support Safari. Some functions work, many don't. I used Firefox and had no issues. I also set up my mail using MAC MAIL and didn't have any issues with that.

That's probably because they're not registered.
Messages only works if your friend has an iphone.
There is a workaround that can work, though.
set up an AIM account online.
in System preferences > mail, contacts, and calendars, enter your new AIM account.
in Contacts, on your friend's contact card, look for AIM. Enter their phone number right before that, with a +1 before it, and the area code: i.e., +11234567899.
This doesn't always work. Their cellular carrier has to cooperate with AIM. Some do, some don't. If it doesn't work, tell your friend to get an iPhone. -

Having trouble with First Class mail
I'm trying to use my email at school (Benito Juarez Community Academy) and also set up Gradespeed but having trouble with both.
In composing mail, the screen will only accept a line or so and no more. I can mail that but message is incomplete. Also, can't get into Gradespeed. I am unable to shut off my laptop because I can not close the mail app. Command Q doesn't work. While "quit mail" shows up under FILE on the menu bar, it is faded and not a working option. Mail appears to be frozen. I also can not pull up the mail page despite the app being open. Clicking on the mail icon does nothing and there are no available options under the menu bar. Help, please! Thanks!
Try force-quitting (command-option-esc).

Is my original iPad compatible with iHome iDM12 wireless speakers? I am having trouble pairing. iPad sees device but does not connect.
It should be it the iHome supports the bluetooth profiles that the iPod supports. See:

In mail, if you click on window, then connection doctor, what does it tell you about your mail accounts? If there's an issue, the receive and/or send status will be red .. green if OK.

Having trouble with backslash and forward slash combinations in the address line.
The link on the website points to downloadable files. The link contains a backslash - forwardslash combination which IE8 handles comfortably.
Firefox doesn't ... it says the file is not found.
Is this a bug?Links should not contain a backslash. Firefox will escape such a backslash as %5C. Those links aren't visible either. All I see is a Flash movie that has working links.

I would guess that you have a Windows machine that you have used in the past. Your email address must be a "pop" address. That means that your internet service provider has a server where your mail is sent. This is different than a web mail address, that is accessed remotely with a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari. You must then be using an email program, such as Outlook Express, to go get the email onto your local machine. Any email program can do this. Open up the accounts tab in Outlook Express, and write down the settings. There will be one for the incoming server, and one for the outgoing server. Now, on your Mac, you can use the email program provided, such as Mac Mail, and put the settings in there. You can now send and receive to your Mac using your supplied email address. You can use another program such as Thunderbird to do this if you want. You don't have to use Mac Mail.
Getting your old email off of the Windows computer is a bit harder, so hopefully you don't need to do that. But if you do, I can direct you on how to do that also. -
In Mail, I am having trouble with my cursor. When making revisions to what I have already typed, the cursor doesn't "land" where I "click" it to be. It seems to land somewhere below the spot I click on. It seems to have a mind of its own.

Having trouble with mail.app always cc'ing myself
Having trouble with mail.app always reply all is cc'ing myself. Solution was to add another address under the account so that it recoginzes aliases as well as the primary account that you are sending from. Then it will recognize all the addresses and aliases associated with the account.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
Step 2
In the Console window, look under User Diagnostic Reports (not "Diagnostic and Usage Messages") for crash reports related to the crashed process. The report name starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report and post the entire contents—again, the text, not a screenshot. I know the report is long. Please post all of it anyway.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report—they're very long and rarely helpful.
