I'm having trounble with PNG transparency in Firefox

After I publish my site I see all the PNG transparency in Firefox but in other browsers the PNG transparency works well.
Is there a fix for this?

You would need to publish a URL to get help with this and also mention which version of Firefox you are using. Are you using the latest V 4.0?

Still having trounble with Wireless network

I've got a new IMAC G5 and an Airport Extreme 802.11n. The signal strength goes from 5 bars to no bars all the time for no real reason that I can see. I know the network is OK because it doesn't affect my Ipod TOuch or Macbook in the same way so the problem must be at the IMAC. It can't be out of range because the Mac is in the same place and the Extreme is in the same place as my last Extreme (older version).
Anyone got any ideas what could be causing it?
It becomes most apparrant when I try to play music to another set of speakers (connected to a new Airport Express). It lasts about 2 minutes before cutting ou and then comes on and off intermittently.

PNG transparency in Firefox

I created a website in iWeb. The png files display properly (with transparency) in all browsers except for Firefox. Anyone know a fix?

I am having trouble with replacing my old Firefox version 3.6.3 with the new 9.0 version on my Macbook. I have it downloaded as a dmg file, but I keep getting a message that the opertion cannot be completed because the item Firefox is in use...HELP!

Keyboard problem with wmode transparent and firefox

I came accross a very nasty bug in this configuration:
FireFox+Windows+[Flex area using the wmode=transparent]
If the flex area has a text input, then the keyboard mapping
is stuck with a wrong keyboard mapping and some characters can
simply not be entered. For instance, on a French keyboard, it is
not possible to enter a @ character.
This bug seems very old, here is a reduced situation dated

Move that file to the Trash and restart your Mac.

Using Greasemonkey on Facebook I am getting errors when games reload. What is causing this? Can it be fixed? Is there a way to load the earlier version of Firefox?

Having trouble with downloading updates for Firefox 4

I am using Mac OS X latest version operating system. I have replaced my latest version of Safari with the latest version of Firefox. When I click on "Update Firefox", the status bar does not show the progress of the update. I let it run with no other programs running in the background. I then get an error message stating "There was a problem loading the update". I am unclear as to how I should proceed. Thank you for your time and I appreciate any assistance!

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select No Proxy

I am having trouble with the updates to firefox. Each time I start it I get a page that says proxy server refusing connections and have to reinstall the old version just to use the internet. That also removes the personas from my browser.

I currently have version 3.0.10 and have gotten two prompts to upgrade my version of firefox and each time I do install the new version and then try to start up Firefox, I get a page instead that says proxy server is refusing connections and the only way to browse is to re-install the old version. I also have to re-install the old version at least 3 times before I can use Personas.

Hello I am having problems with password remembering on Firefox 6. new passwords will not save and some old passwords no longer show up. Can you help?

That issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted. 
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

I'm having problems with Google since the Firefox 4 upgrade.

Since upgrading to Firefox 4, when I try to do a search from the Google home page, and I click on "Google Search" I am taken to a blank page w/no results. However, if I search through Google's Advanced Search feature, I don't have any problems. Any advice on how to fix this?

Wifi issues are one of the common issues being reported by users. There is not much you can do at this point but wait and hope that th 10.8.1 update will address these issues.

Having problem with Netflix streamlight and firefox 4

So, I cannot watch anything from Netflix streaming. The silverlight plugin gives me an error code (N8007), and gives me instructions to change the silverlight settings, I follow them, and it still will not work. I tried uninstalling silverlight, and reinstalling it, but to no avail.

Go to Tools-Options-Privacy Tab- Select use custom settings for history and uncheck Permanent private browsing mode. I then refreshed Netflix and it worked.

I have two banners that are rounded rectangles for a website.
The have quite a few gradients in them, with a gif it looks
distorted. I can't use jpg, so I went with png. In dreamweaver it
shows the banners as having no backgrounds, but in Internet
Explorer, they have backgrounds! How can I fix this?
Also, on another note, when I use the type tool in Fireworks,
my type window will not stretch as I continue to type, I did not
set a width for the box, however, I get two words into a sentence,
and I am jumping to the next line. I have tried over-and-over to
fix this problem, but with no luck. It happens on and off, but it
is driving me crazy.

Opening Fireworks PNG-8s with alpha transparancy

Hi all,
I have to do some work on some files I didn't create -- a couple hundred png files. They are 8-bit, indexed files, but when viewed on the web they have 256 levels of alpha transparency. When opened in Photoshop, they have only one level of alpha transparency :(
Turns out these are in some proprietary Fireworks format ... anyone have any ideas how I can get these into Photoshop without losing my alpha channel, hopefully without having to BUY Fireworks ... oh how I miss ImageReady ;)

Photoshop doesn't work with continuous transparency in indexed color mode, only one transparent value is allowed. (ImageReady wouldn't do it, either)
You may need to use another application to convert them to a normal RGB image with transparency.

Transparency with *png in MHP with DVBAlphaComposite-what's the problem?

I have simular problem applying alpha composing to Graphic layers.
If I draw graphic elements like circle or rectangular with some color or draw images with transparency (Alpha) then I can see only background IFame under top element. It seams when I draw something on graphic layer then middleware compose background video layer and DVB colors of element that I am drawing at the moment. Colors of elements that placed under the top element are ignored. I tried verious composing rules but It does not give any correct result. It seams middleware does not suppot alpha composing at this moment. Did you get some exception applying alpha composing?
I use Alticast MHP middleware installed on my Humax STB

Transparency with png file

I created png file in Corel Draw (its simple logo in two colors) and save it with some transparency. What I want to do is: load it in java and put it into my program. Easy. But the problem is, that the transparency doesn't work.
I'm using this code:

Well,
in that case I don't understand where is problem. As I mentioned above I've created image in Corel Draw. After that I exported it to .png file. During exporting I set the white color to be transparent. After I saved it I checked the image in Gimp, where that color was transparent. So I'm presuming that the image is all right.
I've read something about alpha value in pictures. I'm not sure if I don't confusing this two things together...? So I'd like to explain what I'm trying to do.
I have picture (logo) with two colors, blue and white. I wan to to draw it in my applet as only blue logo onto background.
