I'm in need of a menu bar new mail notifier...

Is there anything out there like GMail Notifier that will put an icon in the menu bar telling me that I have new mail? I need to have other windows covering the screen, can't always hear new mail alerts, and don't want to have my dock showing all the time. Just a little status icon in the menu bar showing maybe Online status, transferring, and unread messages. Anybody know of such a thing?

Imac Pro Airplay Not Seen in Menu Bar - New 2012 model

I have a new Mac Book Pro MD101 model A1278 which is apprently supposed to have Airplay and should be able to see an Airplay icon at the top of the menu bar but I don't. I also do not have the option to select or activate under display preferences.
I have the latest update of the Lion operation system and my very new Apple TV has just gone through an update. I can play through Itunes, but not mirror my screen through Airplay as no icon.....please help or explain why my new mac cannot do this?????

Need to reboot to get new mail

I'm finding that with my 3G Phone that about every other day my new email does not automatically pull. I have both Exchange and POP mail accounts. I find I need to reboot the phone and then new mail pulls. Why is this happening?

You shouldn't need to reboot the phone. Just force quit the mail by opening it and holding the home button. I might suggest add each account one at a time and see if there is a specific account that seems to cause problems.

Spry menu bar woes (add submenu levels and edit width)

So i need some spry menu bar help. Apparently as a graphic designer i'm also expected to webdesign, and while i can solve most problems with a good googling, i seem to be at my wit's end fo this one. So the site i'm doing has a header ith a horizontal spry pop-up menubar (in Dreamweaver CS4). But some problems arise: when i manually add another submenu level, they don't show up in chrome or FF, they do werk perfectly in IE6. I just add the following code to the codepage:

the PMX never pops open in FF an chrome.. Should i be adding anything else to another part of the code? i'd like my submenu text to have a slight indent? WHat part of the CSS style should i change to just have the text scoot over a bit without it really affecting the box layout? Can I have two Menu Bars in Adobe Muse?

I am trying to set up a "shopping" website that needs two separate menu bars separating the "Merchandise" menu from the "Services" menu. Does anyone know if and how to use two separate menu bars on a Muse site?

I have a strange problem and really need help:
top menu bar not appears, when i start some applications.
For example, Numbers, keynote, quicktime and, in the end, Finder!
Problem solves when i replace the .app file of the application with the file from another computer, but it appears again with another application. No errors, no messages, just no menu bar in the top.
I don't know why it happens and don't know how to diagnose this problem.

Sometimes something as simple as restarting the computer will resolve system quirks. If that does not work, boot from your install disc & run Repair Disk from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
Select your language.
Once on the desktop, select Utility in the menu bar.
Select Disk Utility.
Select the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes, and then click First Aid.
Click Repair Disk.
Restart your computer when done.

You don't need to upgrade your software. But if you're struggling with Spry, IMO you should cut your losses and switch to something better for the longrun.
If you have a budget to work with, I highly recommend Project Seven's Pop-Menu Magic 3. It's easy to use in DW CS4, 5, 6 or CC. More importantly, it's bullet proof and works in all devices.

Spry Menu Bar issue, NEED HELP...???

Here is the coding for a menu bar that i created with CS3, for some reason i am having an issue when i open the web page in IE, on firefox and safari it looks fine, the menu drops down to sub menu's fine, but for some reason when i open it in IE, the submenu's show on the very top of the page rather than right below the menu itself, please check my coding and see if there is an issue???

Hey gramps, thanks for the info, i have updated my spry framework to 1.6.1 but the problem is still the same, i recreated my menu with the new 1.6 and it still doing the same thing, the submenu's are like vertically reversed... ugh need help.

Need help with Spry Menu Bar

Hello, I have two templates that I am using. Both have a horizontal menu bar across the top of the page and then two Vertical Spry Menu Bars down the left hand side of the page - one above the other. On one template, all menu bars are working correctly. On the other template, 2 out of three are working correctly. Not sure what's happening here. The spry menu bar that is not working correctly is under "Books & Materials" heading. The menu bar is supposed to turn green when you mouse over it, but instead everything turns white and looks like it "disappears". I have no idea why it would work on one template and not the other. Or for that matter, why it is working on one vertical spry menu bar, but not the other on the same page. Can anyone help me?   www.springerlejoy.com/proanimals4.html This is a page that shows where it is not working. Basically, all of the products pages are having this problem. I am using your software: CS6 InDesign Suiteon a PC using a Windows 7 operating system.
Due to eyesight issues, I need to have the menu bars of programs in easy-to-read font and picture size. Specifically, the menu bar across the top (File, Edit, View, etc.), and the menu bar on the left side with the graphic depiction of options.
In earlier versions of Windows (e.g. XP), whenever I changed the screen resolution on my computer to a lesser resolution in order to show the link icons on my desktop in a larger, more readable size, all the software programs, including yours, appeared on my screen with the menu bars in the larger font size that I needed.
However, in Windows 7, this is not the case. Even though I have selected the lowest resolution, making the icons on my desktop extremely large, I cannot read the options across the top menu bar of your program, nor the pull-down menu items that they contain. I cannot see the graphic depictions of options on the left side of the screen. They are all too small. How can I make your program increase the size?

CS6 is not high-DPI compatible/ enabled and that can't be changed. If you cannot6 make it work with your operating system means, then short of joining Creative Cloud and using newer versions there is nothing you can do.

Need menu bar on BOTH displays when using external monitor

How can I have the menu bar on BOTH displays without using the "Mirror Display" mode???
I bought a Thunderbolt and use it with my MBA. It works fine overall but this is still like having one display instead of two. A real downer!!
There are 2 modes:
Mirror Displays: (identical screen: why waste valuable screen realestate?)
"Normal" mode: where it gives you access to the 2 monitors independently (you can move apps. windows and locate them on any screen you want).
In the "Normal" mode, you can move the menu bar from one display to the other but it does not resolve the problem. We need TWO menu bars, which work identical and can be used on whatever display the mouse cursor happens to be.
Currently, let's say I have applications A & B displaying on MBA, applications C & D displaying on TB, and the Menu Bar on TB. It is a nightmare to work!!!! Anytime I want to work on A or B I have to move the mouse side way to get to the MBA, then to use the menu, I can't even move up into the TB all the way to the menu bar: I have to move through the side onto the TB then up to the menu bar, select, down through the TB, side way to the MBA, and on and on and on....
Anybody knows how to duplicate a functional menu bar without Mirror Display?
Anyway of simplifying this nightmare?
