In the past 6 years I have purchased many books from iTunes. I lost one of them and would like to download it again, however it is not showing up in my purchased screen. All of my music, movies, and shows are showing but none of my books. They do show up in my purchase history, how can I get them back? Help!

No, you need to be in the UK with a UK billing address on your account to use the UK store
You can try requesting that the English language versions be added to your country's store (you've checked to see if the film's description page says if it has alternative languages on it ?), but unless the film studio/rights-holder agrees to it then Apple won't be able to sell them there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html -

You can do it with Leopard but it depends upon the iTunes version which you did not reveal. Also make sure you are looking in the right place for purchases.
Consider buying a backup drive so you do not need to do this again. If you are going to run old hardware and software you need to live differently because yes, at some time you will find your version of iTunes no longer works. You're lucky it still works with Leopard. As you can see, some versions still work with the iTunes Store but not for repeat downloading.
