I'm in UK with German router, how can make UK not German sites Firefox default?

Have just started using Firefox. I am UK based but access the internet via Germany (employer is German). When accessing sites in Firefox e.g. Google, the default is always the German version of Google. How can I make Uk sites the default instead? Internet explorer only rarely has this problem.

You will have to use a link to the google.co.uk site if you want to access the UK site from Germany.
Look here for additional Google search engines:

You can modify the pref keyword.URL on the about:config page to use Google's "I'm Feeling Lucky" or Google's "Browse By Name".
* Google "I'm Feeling Lucky": http://www.google.co.uk/search?btnI=I%27m+Feeling+Lucky&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=
