Are you logged in with the same account that was used to activate the phone ? If you are, and the apps aren't showing as free, then try logging out of your account by tapping on it at the botto of the Featured tab in the App Store app and then log back in and see if they then show as free.

Hi I bought today the latest iPad,I am a Greek user,I made an apple I'd,I try for hours to download the free Facebook application from the store but it asks me for a payment method...credit cards which I don't have,after reading in community for the "none" option at payment methods,for hours I try again and again but there is no "none" option....my account is the very first account after the intro set up of my new iPad,and I don't have other email to try for a new account.Besides I want to activate the free Facebook app in my one and only and current email.Please help,thanx in advance

the iPad is totally new to me. I can't seem to do anything with my Apple ID. As the title says, I am trying to download the Facebook app to my new iPad and I keep getting an error. It tells me to sign in using my existing Apple ID, which I enter, then when I put in the password I get ConnectionManager::invoke::Failed to find service connection url. Cancel or Retry. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'd also love to know how to get rid of the old owner's name, which was Mike - I'm AnnWow, I found a solution in another thread:

Rebooting - Failed
Logging in to iTunes - Failed
Logging into itunes Store - Failed
Logging into iTunes Genius - SUCCESS I woulnd't have thought it would make a difference but it does Then just log into the 'other' services with iTunes.

The mail app on my Mac laptop will not open. This began happening after an upgrade during which "Security UPdate 2012-004" was installed. My mail app has a new icon, and I think i trashed the old program (trying to follow directions). Suggest a fix?

Since installing the latest itunes to windows 8 my iphone and ipod touch is not being recognized in itunes, therefore i can't change playlists or add songs etc. Is this a fault with itunes as it was fine with the older version or is there something i can do. I'm not on IOS yet but would like to backup my phone first but can't do that atm due to not being able to view my phone on itunes!

So the laptop is brand new but you get a "pending" error when installing or updating any App in Windows Store?
There are a several fixes on the web. Here are a couple of them.
1. Press the Windows key + R key to get the RUN dialog box.
Type wsreset.exe and hit the Enter key.
This should clear out the Windows Store cache files and stop the "pending" error.
If this does not work...
2. Force the update service to create a new SoftwareDistribution folder
Open an administrative command prompt (go to the Start screen, type "cmd", right-click on Command Prompt and hit "Run as administrator")
Type the following four commands in the command prompt, hit the Enter key after each line is typed in. 4 lines total :
net stop wuauserv
cd %systemroot%
ren SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
net start wuauserv
Restart the computer and try again. Let me know how you do. -
