Basically i just want to know 3 things: What exactly does consolidating the itunes library do? Can i copy, paste, and transfer my itunes library to an external and from there to a new pc? Will i be able to transfer my itunes library without consolidating the files?

I have found a temporary solution, allowing the previous version of iTunes (v. 11.1.3 (x64) in my case) to be re-installed. It will allow you to re-establish use of iTunes until the Apple software engineers fix the most recent disasterous upgrade (v. 11.1.4). I have just tried to install the full version of Anthill to my iPod touch Gen 4. I get a message on the iPod saying "Anthill failed to install" and an error on the computer "OxE8000004". I already had Anthill Free installed so deleted it in case it was interferring with the new download. I can install other free apps but now can't even install Anthill Free. I have tried the 7 resolution steps advised by Apple and have totally run out of ideas as to what I can try next. Just restore your bootable backup/clone or Time Machine backup.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

Thanks for the question. I understand you are experiencing issues updating your iPhone to iOS 7. If you have not already done so, you may want to restart or reset the iPhone:

Photoshop 4.0 is not compatible with MAC 10.9.3 . You will face issues as when Photoshop 4.0 was launched there was no MAC Mavericks and Adobe has not tested the version on new MAC OS.
If you want you can download the latest version of Photoshop CC 2014 and you can use it as a trial for 30 days and you can plan to switch to the latest version.

Can't now do anything with it, all that appears on screen is an image showing the cable connecting to iTunes but when I connect back to the PC nothing happens and iTunes doesn't show the iPad, so can't restore. You are now at Step 15.
Restore from iTune Backup
1. Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings
2. You'll be asked twice to confirm
3. You'll see Apple logo and progress bar
4. You'll see a big iPad logo on screen

8. Select Network and input Password>Join
9. Enable Location Service>Next

I just tried to install Itunes on my new computer...i had it already on another one, that i know longer have...everything went fine and then the last thign it said that i already had this account set up non another computer and i thought it asked if i wanted to transfer everything to this new one, so i clicked yes...well apparently it didnt quite ask me that because it deleted everythihng...so it looks like i have never downloaded any songs in my Itunes and on my Ipod...did i lose it all or can it be retreived? im so freaking out!! As I said in answer to your other post, pressing "Yes" when iTunes brings up the dialogue window asking whether you want to replace the songs on your iPod with the songs in iTunes does exactly what it says. If you linked to an empty iTunes or one with only a few or completely different songs it will have erased your original iPod song list. Unless you have the original PC to connect back to the songs you had are gone. You could check out what data recovery programs are on offer but I have no experience of any to fully recommend.
