Most of the time when i click my magic mouse on an item it gives me options like back, open new page, etc.

When I try to use my magic mouse, most of the time it won't open an item but instead will give me options like: back, open new page, open link in new window, and I am actually on top of for instance, the comment field in facebook...It takes several attempts of clicking off the entire page to get it to just open the link or respond appropriately...

the mouse performs a right click instead of a left click. Check your mouse preferences in the system settings.

Tried to download latest update, system not compatible, now browser does not work even when I tried to download it again. I have bookmarks I'd like back.

I currently have a Mac, version 10.5.8. My Firefox had been running slow so I tried to download the latest version. When it had downloaded, a message popped up saying that this version of Firefox is not compatible with my system. Well, 'no harm no foul' I figured and I tired to go back to my previous browser.
But when I went to click on it, there was a large circle with a line through it. I couldn't open anything. Firefox had effectively been deleted from my computer.
Now it's ok if I can't run Firefox anymore but I had thousands of bookmarks, compiled over years that I would really like back. And I have no idea how to do that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The last version of Firefox available for OSX 10.5 was Firefox 16. Firefox versions 17-20 require OSX 10.6, 10.7 or 10.8 as well as an Intel processor (which you have).

Is anyone else experiencing arbitrary loss of communication with peripherals (like back-up disk)? The problem on my iMac also seems to involve my HP 2355 printer which ghost-enlivens periodically and resets itself like it has lost power or communication with the computer. I had the same problem on my MacBook Pro. I couldn't figure out why the printer screen was lit up when no one was using the computer. The loss of communication with the back-up disk also happened on the Pro. Two different Apple models; two different computers; two different back-up systems; two different printers. So, I am thinking it is not limited to one computer or computer type or printer.

None of the issues you describe occur on my iPad in iOS 5.
To begin with, reset your iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake + Home buttons at the same time, until you see the Apple logo appear.

If the Firefox user interface (menu bar) is in the wrong language or if you want to change the current language then you can get Firefox in the language of your choice here:

Fluxbox-like tabs in openbox via tool ?

Hi! I am happy fluxbox user. Now I am tempted to switch to openbox, BUT I would miss tabs (=auto-grouped windows with tab ower group, like fluxbox - see http://fluxbox.sourceforge.net/features/tabs.php).
I would like not to repeat things said elsewhere:
- I am aware that openbox developers are not going to add tabs into openbox itself (see this topic).
- I love fluxbox but I have my reasons to try openbox now. I have my reasons to use tabs (on notebook I use it to add tabs tp my favourite lightweight terminal, on desktop it can be used to have semi-tiling behaviour). I don't want to start yet another "tabs - yes or not?" or "fluxbox vs. openbox" discussion.
So my QUESTION is: is there any way to get similar functionality into openbox via some tool? I was looking for some tool that just creates window with tab-bar and allow other applications to be run inside, creating one tab for each.

only way I know how to do this is:
drag each tab away from the sequence window so that all sequences are floating
then drag the sequence tab of each in the order you want back on to the main sequence window

So I updated my Pearl 3G recently and have been noticing some things missing, some small and some a bit larger. Now, I am not too sure where to go to let someone know so I've decided to make a list hoping the right people see this...

-Calendar doesn't show my alarms on the month view like OS 5 (I like seeing which days have alarms). The visuals seem lacking when showing whats up that day (month view)
-As someone mentioned in an earlier post, the quick button to switch sound profiles doesn't work (instead it gives a "assign a speed dial...")
-When quickly going to my 5th option on my app bar, it all too easily switches to the next folder (annoys me...) Turning down sensitivity seems to have worked...
-There is no menu option to "See all songs" in the media player (browsing songs in the "Now Playing" are A LOT harder because of this since it doesn't show the titles fast enough...)
-When looking through songs in "Now Playing" in the media player, I personally wouldn't mind having what current song number also with the "X Ahead"...
-A small annoyance for me is when I plug it in, now there is an extra step to connect USB. I usually press the Back button for "Charge only" and put the password in for "USB Drive". I don't know if it annoys anyone else...
-The browser now has an address bar. In my opinion it takes up screen real-estate (maybe have an arrow so if you navigate your mouse up above it, it pops down?)
-Picture viewer had a "Zoom 1:1". I know I used that ALL THE TIME...

The Hyperlinks and even the active buttons(like Back, Forward, Maximize,minimize,closeetc) on a webpage opened on Firefox page become inactive and there is no action on mouse click on them.

I use Firefox Version 3.6.6. If firefox is kept opened for a day or two with some tabs opened, then the active buttons like the "Back","Forward","Maximize","minimize","Close", etc and even the links on the webpage become disabled. On mouse click no action gets performed on these type of links. Once this starts only a PC restart causes Firefox to work normally.

I do not use McAfee software and I am having this issue. I can right-click on the "back-or-forward" buttons and get a history list to choose from (which is far from an improvement), but do not get any response from a left-click. The "back-or-forward" navigation buttons are greyed-out. Also, when I open Firefox (4), I get two title bars at the top with two separate sets of the "minimize", "maximize" and "close" icons. It appears as if one window is open within another, but if I click any of the commands "both" windows respond. It's annoying and cumbersome.

          My problem is after displaying Multiple ALV grids using OO .I was not able to provide Back option and all those are Deactivated onj the Menu bar.So,How to provide those options.?We have a GreenButton with Symbol Correct on that Menu Bar.I was not able to see Back button and it is Deactivated.How to activate that Button.so that after displaying i can click on Back button and go to selection options.

For Openbox, I like some of Cinan's dark themes on Box-Look.
For Firefox, take a look at the HEAVEN.CUBE theme. It's one of the nicer (and more usable) dark themes that I've found (even if it's a Firefox theme and not GTK as you specified).
I don't know any really good dark GTK themes... most of them have usability issues and require manual tweaking. I'm using TechniX at the moment, which is a medium grey, but it's nice and very usable without being bright.

[SOLVED] quake-like terminal in openbox?

just trying out openbox (the screenshot section convinced me ) and i like it so far.
i try to keep it fast and simple, otherwise i'd install guake or something similar.
is there any way to popup urxvt by pressing a button? i don't want to start a new instance of it, just bring it to the foreground and maybe hide it again.

edit: mhhm... starting it in autostart.sh works, starting via menu doesnt, x-keybinding error... well i wanted to autostart it anyway

How exactly did you get it to work? When I run (even after changing the the /usr/lib/urxvt/perl/kuake to F1) it I get the error:

Help setting up quake-like urxvt in OpenBox

I stumbled upon a script here that should enable urxvt to be executed as a quake-like dropdown (similar to tilda). I placed both scripts as "urxvtc" and "urxvtq" in ~/.config/openbox/ per the instructions. I also have installed xdotool.

After placing these scriptlets and rebooting, I tried it out, and couldn't get anything to pop up (or couldn't understand the keybindings; and so I read further. On the wiki was a link to Xyne's post outlining how he originally got this working. I realized that I didn't have the keybindings set, and followed his guide, editing my rc.xml accordingly.
The keybindings are mod4+` for the tilda-like urxvt dropdown, and mod4+t for a popup urxvt terminal. Whenever I attempt to execute the terminal with either keypress combination, I receive this error: Failed to execute child process "/home/rogue/.config/openbox/urxtvq" (Permission denied)
I can't understand why I can't execute something that is placed in my own home folder. If someone could please point me in the right direction or give me a hand with fixing this up, I'd really appreciate the assistance. Thanks!

I've tried searching for how the x/y coordinates measure stuff but haven't come up with much. Is it pixel by pixel? Is it based on a one frame graph or a four frame? It seems that everytime I make a change, I must reboot, as logging out doesn't seem to do the trick. Set at 0,0 the terminal opens in the center of the screen while im on the desktop; but when I'm working in a fullscreen window and open the terminal, it appears randomly around the screen.
Reconfiguring openbox should be enough to load the changes you've made to rc.xml. If not, restarting only X via the ctrl+alt+backspace combo will work for sure.
About positioning the window, try changing
<x>0</x>
<y>0</y>
into
<x>center</x>
<y>center</y>
and see if it makes any difference

Computer crashed, songs on iPod that I would like back in iTunes

My computer crashed a while ago and, obviously, I cannot get my songs on my iPod back into my iTunes library. I was wondering if there is a way that I am not aware of that could help me do this.

Yeah, and I had backed some up, but there are still tons on my iPod that I would like to get back onto my computer. I have a friend who had used some downloaded software, but she can't remember what it was, so I was wondering if anyone knew anything about that.

How to I take my credit card information off and put no payment info like back how it first started, and how do I do that by my iphone?

I need help,
How do I take my credit card information off and put none payment
And how do that by my iphone. With out using a computer.
Because when I use my credit card and I know I have money on it
It says decline so I wanna take that off so I can download apps without using
My card or an iTunes card. Like down load the free apps without card info.
