I got authorized to use the ITunes by putting in my email and password so now I'm using it.It's letting me download things to my IPod and go on ITunes store but it's still locked
problem 3-I'm authorized to use ITunes but my playlist isn't showing up on ITunes under music(I don't know if this helps put on my Itunes under music it's showing all the music from my brothers girlfriend)
problem 4-I can't sync my IPod it won't let me (don't know if it's b/c it's my brothers girlfriend and her music is still showing on my account under music)
*my IPod is fully charged now
*it is connected to the internet
*I just downloaded find my Iphone which sid it was succesful.I logged onto my ICloud and said it was not connected to the internet
*keep in mind the IPod is right next to me and is connected
*then ICloud said it could not be found

Problem 1 -
iOS: Unable to update or restore - Support - Apple
Problem 2 -What is still locked?
Problem 3 - You cannot get your playlists.  They will only be where you put them. You can log into your account and download your previous purchases, but your brothers girlfrend will not be able to download past purchases from her account for 90 days.
Problem 4 - What does "can't sync" mean?  What happens when you try?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

  • I am locked out of my ipod touch help

Hey guys i need help i am locked out of my ipod and i cant remeber my password can you please help me

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup).
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.
You may have to force iPad/iPod into Recovery Mode

    Hello Out There,
I'.m locked out of my iPod touche becasue I have foregotten the password. Does anyone know how I can correct the problem?

You cannot retrieve it, you must restore via recovery mode following the instructions in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212 and it may take more than one time through to succeed.

  • I am locked out of my iPod touch and i can't restore it as it asks for my password which i don't know how do i unlock it?

I am locked out of my iPod and it says i cannot restore or back up due to me needing to unlock it and obviously i don't have my password. Please help, how do i unlock it?

Options for when an iOS device gets locked because of forgotten password:
Restore (and reset password) on your device by connecting it to the last computer to which it was connected:
iTunes: Backing up, updating, and restoring iOS software - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
If you cannot connect it to the computer to which the device was last connected you will have to use recovery mode to completely reset the device, losing all data:
iOS: Unable to update or restore - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 - recovery mode (e.g., cannot connect to computer last used to sync device, iTunes still asks for a password)

  • I am locked out of my ipod touch and forgot the password.  How can i get into it without restoring it?

I have gotten locked out of my ipod touch and do not know the password, but my computer cannot restore it, so I need to know how to get in without restoring it.

    PC WAY
    1.Plug the iPod in computer.
2.Go to "My Computer" And click the apporiate drive your your iPod.
3.Change the folder option to "View all hidden files and folders"
    4.Navigate to ipod_control
    5.Then go to Device
    6.Then there is a file there named"_Unlocked"
7.Open that up with a text editor (Notepad) and viola the passcode is right there.

  • HT1212 im locked out of my ipod, and the screen isnt responding when i go to swipe to unlock it or when i swipe to turn it off. But, in the top left hand corner, there is an outline of a box. how do i fix this

im locked out of my ipod, and the screen isnt responding when i go to swipe to unlock it or when i swipe to turn it off. All of my notifications are there but i cant reply to any of them. My screen is completly unresponsive. But, in the top left hand corner, there is an outline of a box. how do i fix this?

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

    For how to restore:

    To restore from backup see:
    iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
