I'm missing older, non-archived messages in my IMAP inbox

I'm running T-Bird 31.2.0 on a Win 7 PC. I use T-Bird as an IMAP desktop client. Recently I noticed that all my messages earlier than 10/12/2014 have disappeared from my Inbox. When I run a search, the missing messages show up in the search results, but I can't get to them.
My Archive folders have messages from 06/01/2014 - 9/16/2014, but nothing from 01/01/2013 - 5/31/2014 or from 9/17/2014 - 10/11/2014.
I've checked my profile, and there doesn't appear to be a second folder for this account. I tried deleting .msf and repairing folder. No change.
Any thoughts?

I posted a similar issue. I discovered there was a destructive TB update that purged all my sent mail. I've asked if there was a backup made as part of the upgrade but no one has responded yet (so, i'm assuming no). As a first time, and very new TB user, I would never have thought that I had to do weekly backups (doing that now). Also, turns out that TB was not/is not posting my sent mail back to my host email account (just keeping it locally) - that is most likely why the upgrade deleted all my mail. The upgrade did not respect the settings (never delete messages) and performed a synch anyway and deleted all my local sent mail. Pretty crappy really....

  • Missing older files; odd error message

Some old files from iTunes are missing. An error message pops up occasionally, saying, "iTunes library cannot be saved. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation."  For security, I normally run my pc on a "standard" account and switch to an administrator account when installing, cleaning, etc. Surely iTunes is not configured so as to require only pc administators to download material? How to resolve this problem?

There you are, Pages 5 can be relied on to not be relied on.

  • How do I download the previous version of Firefox (3) as my system won't support Firefox 4 (can't find the older versions archives anywhere on your site).

I already had Firefox version 2 on my mac (OS 10.4) and tried to upgrade to version 4. Couldn't find any details on system requirements, so just went ahead and tried to download latest version. By the time the process informed me that it wouldn't work on my system, the old version 2 had somehow been deleted. Now I have no Firefox browser at all and cannot find any older versions archived.

I think you can run version 3.6:

I just read today about a separately maintained, unofficial version of Firefox for 10.4 users called TenFourFox. They are somehow repackaging the latest Firefox to work on 10.4 (''on non-Intel Macs''). You might want to research it and see whether it makes sense for you: http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/

  • How to delete the archived messages?

Archiving is setup and running in our PI systems.  ( I used the SDN doc, "Archive and Delete Messages in SAP. XI: A Step-by-Step Guide")
I'm now looking to automate the deletion of the archived messages (NOT the deletion of the original message in the DB, but the data that has been written out to the O/S -- the actual archived data file.
Any pointers on how to accomplish this?
    Thanks in advance.

The archive job creates the files in the files system you configured. These files contain the archived messages..
What you can do is run periodic jobs to deletes files which are older than a certain date...
If there are certain types of messages you want to hold on for a longer period...then archive them seperately... and run a different batch job to clear the files...

  • Messages are not synced on imac and macbook -- missing a month of messages

I have used Messages on an iMac at home, and a Macbook Pro on travel, both of them using OS 10.8.4.  The Messages/Preferences/Acclounts window shows that both computers are using the same settings. During travel last month I added several Messages accounts, using the Macbook. These do not now show up on the iMac. The imac shows 4 of these accounts, and when I now put a message on one of these, with either mac, it shows up on both macs just fine. But I am missing a month of messages that were sent on the macbook that do not show up on the imac, and I have 5 accounts that were added to the macbook Messages that do not appear on the imac Messages. How can I sync everything?

    HI,
This is a pic of my Window Menu in drop down and the Preferences opened at the Accounts pane.
I have highlighted the most well known Account of my AIM Screen Name.
As you can see the list here on the left has a Scroll Bar and I am not displaying all the 10 Accounts shown in the in the Window Menu.
The Window Menu will show them as a combined list by default, due to the setting in the General Pane of the Preferences.
The Messages Menu itself > Accounts will also show the number of Accounts that are Logged in
By Default (without you ever having started up Messages) it will two accounts.
These will be the iMessages account (Minus any Apple ID) and the Bonjour account that is normally Disabled by default (it is only any use when two or more Macs are on the same LAN and have the Bonjour Account Enabled).
If I untick the "Enable this Account" Box for some of the accounts I can get down to 3 Buddy List type accounts listed in the Window Menu and the Main Messages Window.
You may notice from the first pic that the Description field in the Preferences (Main AIM) is the name in the list in the Window Menu and at the bottom left in the Main Messages window.
    Sync
In terms of iMessages this means "Display on all Devices".
It does not mean mark as read on all devices or deal with as if dealt with on another device.
iMessages and Chats that might be Saved.
The application will Save Chats and iMessages if set to do so in the Messages Pane of the Preferences.
It will do so when you close the app. If you leave a conversation (iMessages) or a Chat (Instant Messages from Buddies) on display in the Main Messages window over a number of days it is likely that Messages will create a Save of this each day in ~/Library/Messages/Archive/(by date)
Also in this ~/Library/Messages folder is the Chat.db items
This is the bit that hold a running record of the iMessages conversations you have had and tends to be the bit that brings up the "History" if you restart a conversation with a Contact you have already iMessage'd.
Moving corresponding chat.db items from one computer to another may need the Ownership changed.
    Go to the ~/Library/Messages folder.
Highlight the chat.db item and then do a Get Info (CMD and i keys together).
This brings up the Info Panel and at the bottom are the Read and Write Privileges
Highlighting th top "person" and then using the Cogwheel type icon should reveal your Shortname in greyed out text if you Own the item.
As I own mine my shortname is greyed out
Of course, using my shortname as an example you may be "ralph" on both computers but you  may need to make the Moved file "yours" on this computer.
I only have one Mountain Lion compatible computer and have not tried this to see that it actually works in "moving" chats from one computer to another.

If you have a cold backup (database shutdown properly) without the redo logs, change this :
CREATE CONTROLFILE REUSE DATABASE "XE" NORESETLOGS NOARCHIVELOGto
CREATE CONTROLFILE REUSE DATABASE "XE" RESETLOGS NOARCHIVELOGYou have to change the NORESETLOGS to RESETLOGS for Oracle to recreate the online redo logs.

  • SSO to ITS through WebSEAL gives secure/non-secure messages

    Hi
    We running the following setup:
    EP6 SP14
    Stand-alone ITS 6.20 patch 18
    4.7 R/3 Enterprise
    TAM/WebSEAL 5.1
We are running SSO through WebSEAL to the portal and everything seems to be working just fine.
But when we try to access a transactional iView or an IAC iView running on the ITS server I get a pop-up message saying "This page contains both secure and nonsecure items."
We are accessing WebSEAL through HTTPS, we are running HTTPS between WebSEAL and the portal and HTTP between WebSEAL and ITS.
I have tried to access the ITS through WebSEAL without using the portal, and I still get the message. So it must be something between the WebSEAL and the ITS server.
Does anybody have any ideas what is causing this?
    Cheers,
    Jacob Vennervald

The "secure and non-secure" message, displayed when accessing ITS through WebSEAL when using IE and HTTPS, is caused by an empty source reference (<IFRAME ... SRC="" ...>) within the ITS menu page (...d_menu.html).
The integration guide, available on the <a href="http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24003605">IBM website</a> and the <a href="http://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/developerareas/ibm">SAP SDN</a>, contains the information on how to stop the message from appearing.
The message should not be displayed when accessing ITS through WebSEAL using HTTP.
    Regards,
    Peter Tuton.

  • User defined message search on Archived messages in PI 7.31

    Hello Experts,
We are using XMLDAS to archive the messages of the adapter engine into a file system.
User defined search is working fine for the messages in the database, based on the UDMS criteria, in database tab of message monitoring. And as per SAP, "Extracted attributes are archived together with the message and could be used for searching".
But for us,once the messages are archived into a file system, the UDMS criteria is not working from the archive tab in message monitor. We are able to retrieve the messages in the archive tab based on the message id and also the payload content from it but not using UDMS.
Please let us know if we need to do any specific configuration for the UDMS criteria to work on archived messages as well.
    Regards,
    Ram

    Hello Michael,
Please check following links for configuration and re-check.
PI 7.3 – Adapter User-Defined Message Search without TREX
Configuring User-Defined Message Search - Advanced Adapter Engine - SAP Library
Also I believe you are searching for new / fresh messages after you configured UDMS. I believe it will not show up old message list prior to UDMS config.
    Hope it helps

  • TS2998 After upgrading to Snow Leopard, Mail will not let me archive any mail. All archived messages re-appear in my inbox (I have tried archiving and placing in the trash bin).

After upgrading to Snow Leopard, Mail will not let me archive any mail. All archived messages re-appear in my inbox (I have tried archiving and placing in the trash bin). How do i regain control of my inbox?

The main differences that can cause a problem are scripting additions (64-bit vs 32-bit and security reasons) and the usage of dates (it is not as forgiving). AppleScript itself is basically the same, so if empty paragraphs are what caused your problems the update would have just been a coincidence.

  • Archiving message in Adapter Engine in XI 3.0

    Dear all,
Could you please explain the procedure of Archiving Messages in Adapter Engine in XI 3.0.
I have read many blogs regarding deleting messages in Adapter Engine, but nowhere i can see about Archiving.
I have been told that activating and scheduling "Default Version Archive Job" in RWB->Components->Adapter Engine->Background Processing would solve the purpose.
But while activating, i am unale to set rules, as it gives error " Rules are not allowed for jobs with set 'archive edited messages only' flag."
    Thanks and regards

  • How to find the IDOC for the archived message in integration engine

    Hello experts
In my outbound scenario (Idoc to file), I have a message id got processed from integration engine (SXMB_MONI) but failed in adapter engine (RWB) on 1week back, The same message archive in SXMB_MONI but i found same message in adapter engine.
My question is how to find the archive message IDOC num
We can't find in adapter engine it will show only (sender service, receiver service and interface date and time as well and receiver structure in message content tab) but not idoc no,
Kindly provide the solution for the issue, Is there any alternative to find the idoc?
I can search with partner in sap side but i can get lot of idoc's
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,
If solution given by experts in above replies doesn't work then you can try below method.
What you can do is, take some unique values from message content tab (which came in some specific segment from IDOC)
Now in R3 use tcode WE09 and set the dates when this was processed. Set other filter criteria as much as possible e.g. direction, idoc basic type, port, partner etc and at the bottom you can "Fast search mode" their you give the segment name and it's value.
This will help you get you IDOC.

  • Sequence ID search in archived messages

    Hi All,
I was looking to see if the sequence ID search will work on archived messages? I don't see any technical attributes section for extended search in archived messages tab in message monitoring of PO 7.4 SP6. Any idea?
    thx
    mike

    >>>I was looking to see if the sequence ID search will work on archived messages.
If i go with the help documentation, I don't think that is possible. (In fact i don't see any other option other than Correlation ID under filters, i'm on SP08)
Advanced Message Search - Advanced Adapter Engine - SAP Library
    Technical Attributes
Searching by technical attributes is possible only for the messages displayed in the Database tab. It allows you to find messages whose header contains information about a specific error category, quality of service, IDoc number, IDoc type, IDoc message type, protocol, transport, and many other technical details. You can also search for a message using Correlation ID. You can also use individual elements of Correlation ID like Interchange Number,Sender ID and Receiver ID as search parameters when using the advanced message search. For more information, see Searching EDI Messages using Correlation ID
Note You can use Correlation ID as a search parameter in the Archive database to search archived messages.
