I'm missing the iTunes radio icon on my iPod Touch

I had the iOS 7 beta and I was told that it was supposed to have a new radio icon in music. When iOS 7 was officially released, I didn't have the radio icon anywhere in my music. I even checked in more and it wasn't there.
To add to this, I just restored my iPod today and backed it up before hand. Before I added my back up, I had iTunes radio but as soon as my songs were being loaded back onto my iPod, it had once again disapeared and I wasn't able to use that feature.
Could someone explain to me why this happens and if so, how to fix it?

  • How do I re-install the iTunes radio feature on my iPod Touch 5 running iOS7?

Soon after installing iOS7 on my iPod 5, there was a new radio feature in the Music app. That feature has now disappeared. At the bottom of the Music app where the icons show for Playlists, Artists, Songs, and More..., Radio no longer shows. Does anyone know how to get it back? This iPod is running iOS 7.0.2.
My iPhone 4S and another iPod 5 in the same household (all running 7.0.2) have the radio feature.
It's frustrating having twin iPods with the same hardware and OS version, with different features available in the same system app. I cannot find any settings in any of the devices to turn the radio feature completely off or on.
Thank you for any suggestions you might have.

This is an intermittent problem that only appears on one iPod 5. We are in the US so it should be available to us. Resetting the iPods will make the radio function reappear, but it goes missing again after a period of use.

  • TS5181 The iTunes Radio icon does not apear on the music app on my iPhone

After updating the software on the iPhone I still can't find the iTunes Radio icon on the music app

Go to the iTunes menu and select Preferences.  In the Preferences General tab, put a checkmark next to Radio (and whatever else you wish displayed).

  • Where in the world is the iTunes Radio icon on iOS 7. Just upgraded my iPad 4 & iPhone 5 and I can't seem to find this on either.

I'd say that darn stupid. The whole world can access iTunes Radio via Apple TV and the laptop, but apple had to restrict this to the US for IOS 7 for iPad & iPhone.

  • Has anyone downloaded IOS 7 but the Itunes Radio icon did not appear?

Has anyone downloaded IOS 7 but the Itunes Radio icon did not appear?

Very disappointing that I could only find out that iTunes Radio would not being availabe outside the US in this Forum. Shouldn't this important info have been mentioned in the 'official' communications/advertisements? Or does this imply that...for Apple, customers outside the US just do not matter?

  • How do I add the App store icon to my iPod touch

How do I add the App store icon to my iPod touch

The App Store app is part of iOS for the iPod. It can't be deleted. If it isn't visible then it is likely hidden in a folder or has been hidden in the Parental Controls in the Settings app.

  • TS2771 Why isn't the iTunes Store working on my iPod touch

  • I cant open the itunes store anymore on my ipod touch, why??

in the last few months i think ive managed to access the iTunes Store maybe twice on my ipod touch. I dont know if has anything to do with me updating my ipod or not. what's happening every time i go to access the iTunes Store is i tap to open, and it starts to. however its a blank white screen that stays open for about 4 seconds before it quickly closes itself. its opened successfully a very small amount of times in the last few months, the last time being early november, and i would just really love to know why the store wont open because its beyond frustrating having this problem. help would be much obliged.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Go to Setings>iTunes and App Store and sign out and sign back in
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • Why can I not get to the iTunes store or sync my iPod Touch?

I am not able to sync my iPod or go to the iTunes store at all. I have turned off my firewall and my anti-virus and still can't do either. So it is obviously a problem with iTunes does anyone have any ideas for me to try? I am just frustrated that this won't work because its the program I use the most.

Looks like there's a general problem across the US and UK at Apple's end. I've not been able to connect since this morning and there are loads of threads on here about the same issue.

  • On ios7 my iTunes Radio icon disappeared and was replaced with genius anyone know how I get the radio back?

I have had iOS 7 since beta 1 and I love iTunes Radio. After the official release my iTunes Radio icon dissapeared and became a genius one instead. This is really frustrating anyone know how I can get iTunes Radio back?

I have this issue too on my iPad.  I went to the multitasking screen (double click the home button) then force quit iTunes (swipe the iTunes screen shot upwards) then relaunched iTunes and it appeared again.  I think it is a bug as I've had to do this a number of times.  Hope this works for you.

It didn't show up in my music app for several hours.   Don't know why... But it's there.
I can now access and add stations through the iTunes Store to play through music app icon.

  • ITunes Radio icon disappears

My iTunes radio icon disappears on iPhone5 ios7. It was there for several days, I used iTunes radio, now the icon is missing. I did a hard reboot and the icon reappears. Also, sometimes when the radio icon appears I select Radio and get the message, must be connected to data plan or wifi. I have both...lol...iTunes Radio seems to have many issues Apple needs to work on this app!

    Hello CoStarz,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!
It sounds like the iTunes radio is not recognizing your wifi or cellular data connection.
I think I would start by resetting your network settings, then use it for a while to see how it is working.
Reset iPhone settings. Go to Settings > General > Reset, then choose an option:
Reset Network Settings:  When you reset network settings, previously used networks and VPN settings that weren’t installed by a configuration profile are removed. (To remove VPN settings installed by a configuration profile, go to Settings > General > Profile, then select the profile and tap Remove. This also removes other settings or accounts provided by the profile.) Wi-Fi is turned off and then back on, disconnecting you from any network you’re on. The Wi-Fi and “Ask to Join Networks” settings remain turned on.

Is there a way that iTunes can act as a Radio Alarm Clock?
I have found the radio station I enjoy listening to in the iTunes Radio List. Is there anyway iTunes (and my Mac) can be set to come-on from Sleep mode and start playing that Radio Station at specific times of the day?
Any App or plug-in that does that?
    Many thanks
    Kevin

Turning your Mac into a clock radio.
    1.  In iTunes create a playlist that contains just the radio station you want to wake up to.
    2.  Export the playlist (as .m3u works well).  Get Info on your playlist file and look at the Open With entry to make sure it points to iTunes, VLC or some other app that will stream your station.
    3.  In iCal create an event entry at the time you want to wake up.
    4.  Right (or Control) click on your wakeup event and select Get Info.
    5.  For "alarm" select Open File.
    6.  Now under Open File there will be a place to add the file to open.  It will probably be some default entry (like iCal).  Click on it will allow you to select "other."  Then use the file dialog to select your playlist file.
Your Mac will wake you up at the appointed time.  You don't need to keep iCal running.  If you want to put you Mac to sleep for the night then there is one more thing you need to do.  Open System Preferences to Energy Saver and click on the Schedule button.  Check Start up or wake and set the wake up time to slightly before your iCal alarm time.
