I'm new but...
I'm already frustrated with my mac.. This might not be such a very big problem, but cannot play a simple game like Braid without get my brand new MBP 17" antiglared hot...
It's just unfair... and also don't feel the graphics are doing a good job. Screensavers are smooth, but many flash videos got splitted when zoomed, and feel like I'm running on a 32mb graphics card laptop instead the powerfuls nvidia 9400M and 9600 GT... it also get hot and splitted in braid... and come on dude... it's a LAPtop, and I cannot put it on my lap for the level of hot it gets...
I'm from Paraguay and cannot deal with costumer support by phone... My parents went to NYC for visiting some relatives and got me the MBP as a gift... I got stunned as graphic designer, but I can't bring on the real potential I had in mind after become an apple user...
Please, tell me that I just got bad luck so I don't end up my love relationship with apple... I've been loving apple products so much, and this being my very first experience with an apple product, I wanted it to be magical...

MBP is NOT a laptop. It's a "Notebook."
According to the user manual it states in part:

Strongly suggest that you read the User Manual that came w/MBP to learn the proper way of using it.

Hi, I can't seem to get my ipod 32gb 4th gen to sync with itunes. It's brand new, but everytime I plug it in it says can't access Itunes store and nothing else happens. I enabled my firewall to allow itunes but it still can't access the store. Please help.
If you look at the feed, and look at the entry 'The end to an exciting field season in Aulavik National Park' you will see the line:

You have not closed the 'pubdate' tag - there should be a '>' as the 9th character. Because the tag has been left open, it invalidates everything which follows it, and thus the entire feed. iTunes therefore cannot read it, which is why the Store has not updated. Add the '>' and republish, and all should be well.
It's always worth checking your feed by subscribing manually, from the 'Advanced' menu, or by clicking the 'subscribe free' button on the Store page (both do the same thing) - if you can subscribe to the feed it should be OK. -
I moved Creative Suite 5 from my old MacBook Pro to my new MacBook Air and followed the instructions for deactivating on the old and activating on the new but only Photoshop and Illustrator will work. I need to also access InDesign, Acrobat, Dreamweaver and Fireworks. Is there a way to fix this? Problem with the MacBook Air is that is doesn't have a disc drive so I had to transfer via external hard drive.
Cheers.The problem is that you need to install CS5 from an installation file or installation disc. You can't just copy files because there are lots of supplementary files that don't get put in the right location.
You'll need to use the Adobe Cleaner to remove all the stuff on your new computer:

After Upgrading to 10.6.8 my aperture app starts but hangs trying to read the Lib. I removed the old lib and start with new. but still have the problem. 10.6.8 also made my Shark FX7 do the same thing. Any Ideas? Thanks

I work for the County and we purchased a copy of Adobe Photoshop CS2 long ago. The person that did the order is no longer here. All I have is the CD Disk that is new but i did not know the key code is. Is there a way to get the keycode for this?
It would not work anyway. The activation servers have been retired and Adobe has provided a new CS2 download along with a new serial number for CS2 owners.

What is the best way to get the notes content from iphone 4 to 4s without doing a restore? i want the new phone to be totally new but not sure how to get notes content across. If I do a restore as I have when previously from one iphone to another it has shown (in settings, usage) the cumulative usage from previous phones so all the hours of calls on all previous iphones will be displayed even though its brand new. Anyone know how I can get my notes (from standard iphone notes app) to my new iphone 4s without restoring from previous iphone 4. Thanks for any help offered.
First, if you haven't updated to iTunes 10.5, please update now as you will need it for the iPhone 4S and iOS 5.
Once you're done installing iTunes 10.5, open it. Connect your iPhone to iTunes using the USB cable. Once your iPhone pops up right click on it. For example: an iPhone will appear and it will say "Ryan's iPhone."
Right click on it and select "Backup" from the dropdown menu. It will start backing up. This should backup your notes.
Please tell me if you have any problems with backing up.
Once you backup and get your iPhone 4S, you must follow these steps. If you don't follow these steps, you will not be able to get your notes on your new iPhone 4S.
Open up iTunes again then right click on your device (iPhone 4S). Once you do you will see a dropdown menu. It will say "Restore from Backup..." Select this and it'll ask for a backup, select it from the dropdown menu. For example "Ryan's iPhone - October 12, 2011." Pick that and it will restore to your backup. Do this when you get your iPhone 4S so you will not lose anything. Even though you're restoring, you're getting back, since you're getting the previous settings, notes, contacts, mail and other settings from your old iPhone. You'll still have Siri though! So, restore when you first get it. Also frequently backup your device, as it will be worth it. You can restore from a backup if something goes wrong or save your data for a future update.
Once you do that, you should have your notes on your new iPhone 4S and iOS 5.

I install at the new update cc2014 but for some reason in my computer appear double app the old one and the new but the new dose not gave the setup that I have in my old version! What happen ?
Seriously, I doubt that your answer helped Erik. He has two issues.
He installed the new program and has a double icon folders with software. One for the new & one for the old. (I have this same problem.)
He must have attempted to open one of the products and no longer see his personal settings transferred over. (The install will ask to have those settings migrating, but you have to accept it. eh, I could be wrong; but, that what i remembered doing.

However, i can not get any of my products to work. Ie. have to constantly click on icon to open; once open i get a unexpected error and have to close. I'm on a mac pro w/ latest os system.
In addition, I have tried to uninstall the older by clicking on the application's manager icon.; Unfortunately, it shuts down at each attempt. Therefore, I am unable to un-install the old product or the new.
Possibly, we were hoping that the new product would be simply updated if an old recent was already installed.
Instead, the installation simply created a new icon and the new folder with product. -

This depends on what model you actually have. There are many different iMac models. Specifically, which one do you have? The hierarchy is:
Leopard - the last system to work on non-Intel hardware.
Snow Leopard - Requires Intel-based hardware.
Lion - Requires a full 64-bit qualified model.
Mountain Lion - Requires a full 64-bit qualified model.
Mavericks - Requires a full 64-bit qualified model.
Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.

I have a new iPad and tried to set up as new, then realized i needed to sign in as an existing itunes user. I reset my new ipad as new, but now when I sign in using my existing ipad it backs up to the new one I just set up. I need my itunes account on my new ipad. help
You want to restore from the backup. Do not set up as new. You can read the article that Tom posted above, but it really is pretty simple.
Transfer any purchases from the old iPad into iTunes, backup the old iPad in iTunes and them sync one more time.
Connect the new iPad and when prompted during activation, restore from the backup that you just created and then sync with iTunes.
The new iPad should be identical to the old iPad, but you will have to enter some passwords again on the new device.

I am trying to install my business licensed CS4 that is working on current mac to new, but it's saying the license is not valid. I am now on creative cloud, but need CS4 because there's a plug in that only works with that. Please help. I do not want to deactivate the current running one as I need to make sure it works with the plug in on the new mac. Besides, aren't you allowed to install it on more than one machine, as long as only one is running?
