I'm not able to receive e-mail messages

I can successfully send e-mails, but am not able to receive any???

Acouple of days ago, the verizon home page went belly up so I had to access e-mail directly through the Yahoo Mail home and start using that as my new home page. I concluded that this was because of the Verizon change over away from Yahoo.  Way to go Verizon, alienate a bunch of customers and don't provide change-over service.  The day before yesterday, what a relief!  I opened my verizon.net e-mail on yahoo and there was only a third the e-mails there to sort through for the day. I figured I was just lucky and I must have sorted them more recently then I thought.  The next day, yesterday, when I opened my e-mail, there were no incoming e-mails when I went to yahoo directly and I am now in my second hour of trying to get customer support for how to access my e-mails.  I only get 40 or 50 non-spams per day, but I use my e-mail records to keep track of some contacts which are very important to me.  I've been on the phone with internet e-mail customer support for an hour now, (One Hour) listening to the repeating hold message of    "We are experiencing an unusually busy period.  Your call is important to us.  Please stay on the line and your call will be answered in the order in which it was received.  Your approximate wait time is less than 30 minutes."  The message has been repeating this false iformation for the last hour and 10 minutes now.  The time period is not diminishing, counting down or changing at all.  Its just wrong.  Verizon is really trying hard to convince me to drop them and go with another company.  Why would a company do that to a long term steady paying customer?  How can they stay in business doing this with their customer service?   They have totally lost their minds!

    Download the yahoo email app, if you already deleted and reinstalled the email account and still have issue.
    This is a known issue with Yahoo email account.

    It could be one of many things depending on the issue you're receiving:
    Did your mail account's password change? You still need to update it on your Mail client: Mail>Preferences>Accounts (Edit Password)
    Is the server possibly down for maitenance?
    Are the settings you used for a localized network only, and not resolvable outside of that network?
    Is your Wi-Fi managed by IT and possibly set to block Mail?

    I have written a code and I am able to see the mail details in SAP OutBox, but not able to find any mail on given receipent mail ID.
    I have check through SCOT but still not able to see that ,
    So anything which I need to do to come out of this?

    You need to check in transaction SOST.
    To forcefully send mails from SOST transaction:
    Select the mail & click UTILITIES=> START SEND
    To forcefully send mails programmatically after the FM 'SO_OBJECT_DOC_SEND_API1' :
      WAIT UP TO 1 SECONDS.
      SUBMIT rsconn01 WITH mode = 'INT'
                    WITH output = 'X'
                    AND RETURN.

    We have configured  the SMTP server in our system to send out mails, but we donot know the configurations for receiving mails. [ We are not using SAP exchange connector (is it needed?) ]
    I have read the note 455140 and 54617.
    But i am stuck on , What are the configurations to be done on the MS Exchange Server 2003 for redirecting the mails received in the inbox of a particular user to the SAP system.
    The note says it has to be configured to redirect mail to <hostname>: <port>  But where exactly do we define the routing rules.
    If anyone has a detailed document on what are the configurations involed in receiving mails, Please send it.

    How many other places/networks have you tried? Maybe those places you tried are blocking the port/site.

  • Not able to contact Mac Mail Servers

    About 4 days ago, MS Entourage stopped receiving email and sending emails. In fact I can't even delete old email because I keep getting a message that Entourage can't contact the Mac mail servers. I have not changed any mail settings or my password. I swithed over to Mac Mail and was able to received and send messages for about a day and now this program just freezes up when I attempt to use it.  Since this problem cropped up I have been able to go to icloud to retrieve and send email. I would like to use the email programs on my MacBook. Is Apple having a problem with their mail servers or this an icloud sync problem with my desktop email programs?

    I shut my computer down over the past few days and when I booted it back up, noted that my Mac. Mail account had not received any mail while I was gone, event though Iphone and Icloud did.
    The incoming mail server is greyed out.   Have researched this to no avail.
    Any suggestions?

    I haven't gotten a new sim card because the problem has been presenting itself in various cards not only mine. So far, all I've done is reset my network settings.
    Last night, I turned off the 3G tab and it had all the signal bars. Today, I did the network reset and it's working apparently. But like I said before, previously the bars just disappear and the iphone only has the 3G activated.

    I have a BlackBerry Curve 8900.  Off late, I am not able to open all mails on my device.  Some open but many do not.  I do not remember changing any settings on my device for the same.  When I click the trackball to open, nothing happens and it hangs up.  I use the back button then.  Can anyone advise what has gone wrong on the device.

    When you device is POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery. This make a reboot to your device which minor issues with the BlackBerry device.

    It's like the Mail app on the top bar is stuck.  Even when I try to quit out of the mail app, nothing happens.  
    I tried checking all the boxes in the Viewing box for mail, show header detail. 
    I am also not able to make the mail icon go poof.  When I drag it off the dock and into a place on the desktop... it just reverts back to the doc.  
    I tried unchecking the "close windows when quitting an application". 
    For some reason to vew my mail, I'm still having to click on window at the top mail bar and then click on Message viewer.
