I'm not out yet. HELP no stereo sound!
My 2009 Intel iMac (24Inch) all the sudden won't play stereo tracks after EyeTV gets installed; I get blown out of my seat in 5.1CH mix's but as soon has I try to play any thing that is non-5.1 surround I hear nothing at all not even a buzz or click. What am I missing? I should mention that I can play stereo mix's after I turn on my mac but the moment I play a movie in 5.1, 2ch drops of the earth & every 2ch track/movie/tv show/music video I try to play after that nothing happens. I am now starting to point my finger at the 10.6.8 update. I thought I fixed this by reinstalling every thing but that was short lived; 5.1 surround is great but not every thing is recorded in it. Any thing I can do? i
Not much help here.
What I did was deleted "AppleHDA.kext" extension and restarted unit. Extracted an original file from an Snow leopard Disc and placed it back.
Seems to work for now, can switch between 2ch and 5.1ch with out a problem.

In the case that your phone isn't a branded handset, the responsibility for updates most likely lies with your country's Nokia. In addition to generic unbranded firmware, there are Country Variants released, so this may very well be the case that your local Nokia hasn't approved the firmware update / worked on it at all (as Country Variant releases are often tailored to the local country's phone requirements, or certain apps included etc etc).
As first point of call, I would contact your country's Nokia, whether that be your local Nokia Care point, or in the case that there are none, to contact the offices directly (e.g. in my case I would have to do that, since all the Nokia Care points in Australia have closed down). Ask them about the availability of the Belle Refresh update, and whether it will in fact be available.

I like that slow project load times is one of the things they fixed...I mean I wish I was wrong and I would gladly pay 100 dollars just for a 24p fix (which I'm starting to doubt will be in there). But any kind of speed up when clicking back to Premiere would greating improve my chance of not becoming insane while using magic bullet looks in Premiere.
I have a stange feeling there will be silence until about June 7th when we'll get a statement from Adobe saying it has been delayed a few more weeks so the RED updates will work with After Effects (no point in releasing it untill the AE 4.1 upgrade is done).
Again I hope I'm wrong and you guys are laughing at me on or before the 31st.

I'm not certain thats the problem. I stopped antivirus, I set screensaver to NOT trigger and yet it took me FOUR DAYS to completely sync my ipod touch. Stupid me decided to try it with the iPad and guess what...it's been three days and STILL timing out.
I don't think Steve Jobs died; I think they upgraded him to iOS5, he crashed and they could not restore him.
THIS UPGRADE *****. They rushed it out the door to get the fancy-dancy voice command thing on the iphones and yet that feature does not help ipod or ipad users. -

I'll add that this can happen when snapshotting is used as a backup method. You can set max endpoints to 32 and still see the issue. Please ensure that you're backing up using the supported PowerShell commands: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh202170.aspx
and not just a snapshot of the VM. If raising max endpoints does not resolve the issue, try backing up with the management shell commands within a recurring scheduled task or try http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/office/Backup-script-for-Lync-2013-aacbb9b9
. Then disable the snapshot ting for your front ends, bounce them one at a time, and ensure the data exports you've made are backed up as flat files.

Just bought a canon rebel t2i as a gift, not out of box yet. Called apple first and they said camera was compatible with imovie 11. reading comments that users are having difficulty with imovie reading files from rebel. any comments.

That means that any videos you shoot will have to be imported into iPhoto and then moved to iMovie. -

in india its a pain to get a toslink to mini adapter ...finally i found one and connected the mini end to headphone jack behind my imac...
(imac 21.5 mid june 2011) and optical end to my hometheatre ...
in audio midi setup the multichannel option is set to stereo 2ch 16 bit..
perian is installed and set to use dolby prologic..
i only get stereo sound from itunes,vlc or movist or even xbmc and boxee...tried them all configured the audio to use 5.1 but no luck,

any help would be greatly appreciated .....Hello John, I figured it was a signal issue. All the speakers fire and the sound is great. I was running the speakers thru a Dell PC with a Creative X-Fi Elite Pro, THX Certified, 7.1 soundcard using a fiber optic from the Mac Pro to the Z906's, it worked great until the Dell died!!! When I bought the soundcard from Creative I also bought the GigaWorks S750, THX Certified, 700 watt, 7.1 speaker system, used the speakers for 11 years and then the woofer/amp said "I QUIT" Creative quit making the speaker system and the sound card. The satellite speakers from the Creative GigaWorks speaker system still sound great (rated at 78 watt each) and are a little better speaker than the one's that came with the Z906 and the wattage from the 906 is sufficient to drive the satellites without any distortion. Thank you for addressing my issue, you confirmed what I suspected all along, just needed to hear it from someone with the same setup.
One last question, I purchased a Diamond Multimedia USB Soundcard, can't use the fiber optic(not supported by Mac) but the green, tan and black RCA's plug in and produces adequetly. When you plug your 906's into the Mac Pro using the fiber optic how do you set your speaker configuration? When I plug into the mac pro with fiber optic the 'Audio Midi Setup' does not seem to see the 5.1 configuration. Any thoughts there?

You mean an image such as a scanned document?
If that is the case, the file doesn't contain any text for Reader Out Loud to read. In order to fix that, you would need an application such as Adobe Acrobat that does Optical Character Recognition to convert the images to actual text.
You can also try to export the file as a Word document or something else using ExportPDF which I believe offers OCR and is cheaper than Acrobat.
