I'm not receiving group text messages anymore on iOS8.

Hello Apple,
I am involved in a group message through my Messages application. While I was using iOS7, I would receive those texts, but from the individual numbers of those users, not one group. When I would send a message to all of them together, trying to start a group, my message would only be received by the individual numbers, and not from the group.
Now that I am running iOS8, I have not been receiving those messages at all.
If anyone could help, that would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you have group messaging enabled in settings

Wow, 1yerdua. That's far too long to be having this messaging trouble. We want to find the resolution fast! If you turn off your Lumia's WiFi (Menu > Settings > WiFi), are you still able to access data-oriented applications like Internet Explorer? Have you been to other areas of the state/country and experienced the same trouble?

Why can't I receive group text messages? I can send group messages and receive a response and texting to individuals works also. My carrier is AT&T

Group messages are considered MMS, not SMS. MMS is transmitted over the cellular (data) network. It does NOT use your data plan, it uses your texting allowance. But data DOES need to be enabled to send and receive group and picture texts.

There's a small vocabulary issue here.
"Reset" means a specific action, which does not involve iTunes at all. You reset your iPhone by holding the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears. You could try that - it's risk free - but probably would not work.
"Restore" (not reset) is something you do using iTunes. Plug your iPhone into iTunes on your computer (current version: 11.1.3). Let it sync. Then choose "Restore" from the iPhone's summary tab in iTunes.

My husband and I both have 4 iphones. I do not receive any text messages that he sends me. He gets mine though. He sends texts to other iphone users and they get them. I get text messages from other phones including iphones. Please help.

Both of yall need to go to settings, meassages, send and recieve, scroll down to start new conversation from, and make sure you have different email addresses with a check mark beside it. Right now sounds like they are the same email addresses.

I had the same issue after the update. Most likely this feature just needs to be enabled. Go to Settings > Messages and turn on Group messaging.

Switched from iPhone 4 to Samsung Galaxy S4 and am not receiving iPhone text messages...

I recently switched from the iPhone 4 to the Samsung Galaxsy S4 and am no longer able to receive text messages from other iPhone users. I have combed the forums looking for a solution and so far have come up empty handed. What seems to be working for others is not working for me. Here is what I've tried so far:
Turned on my old iPhone and iPad, went into settings and turned off iMessage, removed iCloud, disabled FaceTime, and disabled my AppleID in the iTunes & App Store settings. I do not own any other devices that could be using my Apple ID.
I logged into Apple's Apple ID software and unregistered both devices from my Apple ID account.
I logged into iTunes and changed my Apple ID, address, removed credit card info, and deactivated all accounts attached. I even deleted any backups that were stored. It's basically a generic account now with no information relevant to my old account.
I went to the Apple Store and they suggested this was a problem with AT&T...
I spent hours on the phone with AT&T... they directed me to Apple, do you feel my pain?
I'm losing my mind here, I'm on call 24/7 for my job and rely on emergency call out text messages for critical incident situations. I am not getting those messages because they are being sent from an iPhone based system. If anyone has any additional information on this I'd really appreciate it, I can't afford to wait 45 days for Apple to recognize I am no longer using the Apple ID associated.

Thanks for the response. I contacted Apple at the link you listed and spoke with a representative. We walked through the steps I took in my first post above to ensure I had done them correctly. He didn't offer any new suggestions other than making sure my contacts turn on their MMS before texting me.
Unfortunately that is not working either. I tested this with several friends and I am still not receiving their messages. They get a response immediately upon texting me that says the message was undeliverable. They are able to receive my messages, I just don't get theirs.
Any other ideas?
It's mind boggling that Apple has made this such a difficult transition. There should not be repurcussions for choosing to discontinue the use of their product. The only other thing I can think to do is have my service provider change my phone number... what a nightmare.

Iphone 4 is receiving word texts but not photo texts - set up with MMS not imessage. Would welcome your thoughts.

Initially it sounds like something with your backup data caused the issue with your new device but if you restored your device again without using the backup and the issue still exists it wouldn't appear to be the issue at all. Since the problem seems to only be with one person are you sure it's not an issue on their end and with their network that is stopping you from receiving the messages? Have you tried *228 option 2 to see if that helps?

This morning I sent some text messages. When the recipients texted me back, the messages went to my son's and my daughter's iTouch's instead of my iPhone. I didn't receive them at all.

If they were iMessages, make sure your children are using a different Apple ID for iMessage (on their devices, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a separate ID). They can continue to share the same ID for iTunes purchasing.
If they were sms messages, contact your carrier or the recipient's carrier. They are responsible for routing sms messages.

How come after turning of iMessage on my iPhone 5 (iOS 7.0.4), my contact who has the same phone and OS could not receive regular text messages from me?

In order to get around this issue I had to put the phone into RECOVERY MODE, and connect it to iTunes.

Connecting to iTunes in RECOVERY MODE worked even though all my iPhone backups are in iCloud not in my iTunes.
It is NOT TRUE that you can't re-activate and recover your iPhone if your SIM is locked.
It is NOT TRUE that you have to unlock your SIM in another phone if you are trying to re-activate your iPhone with a locked SIM.
It is NOT TRUE that you need to get a new SIM from your carrier if you're trying to reactivate your iPhone with a locked SIM.
All you need is a computer running iTunes, your SIM PIN, your iCloud login and password, and you need to put your iPhone into RECOVERY MODE. (See link above or click here.)

Group Text Messages Won't Download On My Droid Razr Maxx HD

Many times my Droid Razr Maxx HD will not receive group text messages. Often, not always, when I receive a group text I get a message notification and when I look at the screen it simply says "downloading." This downloading can go on for hours. Two days ago one simple text message took 7 hours to download. This is a recent problem probably only going back 3 weeks or so. The other phones in this group text are two I Phone 5's, an I Phone 5 s and a Samsung Galaxy SIII. My phone is used for business and my inability to receive a text quickly is hurting my business. I may as well not have a cell phone. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas?

I, too, am having the same issue. I also notice the phone gets fairly warm/hot at times. This all started after the most recent update. It's highly annoying, as you all know, to see "Downloading 0kb" or "Downloading 30kb" over and over for both group texts as well as standard MMS. Having to turn off WiFi, get the messages/downloads, then re-enable it is a hassle and not one that was present prior to the update.
I've been with Verizon for a little less than 2 years but if pushing out mandatory patches to their phones causes problems like this then I would have no qualms switching to AT&T.
I like my phone and, for the most part, I've liked my service. I've Googled this issue and TONS of people are having it since the update. I hope Verizon is listening to it's customers and working on a patch of some sort.

Send and receive mms and group text messages on Samsung Galaxy Core Prime

I moved from a basic phone to a smartphone. I used to be able to receive group text messages and MMS messages without having to use data or be connected via wifi. Why is it I have to use data or be connected to a wifi sourceto receive those messages now?

The antennae or radios in the Prime are configured differently than most flagship type smartphones and even different still from basic phones. It comes down to difference of hardware.

Is there a way to still receive group texts messages without everyone receiving the text seeing my phone number and without receiving everyone's replies to the texts?

My problem is not with me replying to the sender. My problem is when someone includes me in a group text message along with several others (some of whom I don't even know), and then me receiving a text message everytime someone replies to the group text.
I would prefer not to see everyone else's reply to a group text that was sent to me.
I am also concerned that those people that I don't know can see my cell number in the group text details.

I have been sending and receiving group text messages on my iphone 3GS for awhile and all of a sudden I am receiving "Message Send Failure" error messages when I try to send a group message. I think I still get group messages but you can no longer see that it is a group message and who the group members are. I turned the Group setting off and then back on in Settings and turned the phone off and back on with no improvement.

Make sure your account is provisioned for messaging/texting.
Also, Settings > Messages > MMS Messaging > On
