I'm on LR3 but all my catalogues show LR2

I have been using LR3 for some time after using LR2 for a couple of years and keep trying to understand why all my backup files i.e. .lrcat files show "Lightroom 2 Catalog-2.lrcat" instead of .....-3.lrcat. I have searched all my hard drive for a reference to LR3 catalogues but none is found. I watched the video re moving catalog files but really not sure whether this is the way for me or not. Everything works fine but but I would like to sort this out.

Upon conversion of your LR2 catalogs to LR3 catalogs, LR3 created new LR3 catalogs with the same name as the LR2 catalog, but appending a "-2" to their name:
LR2 Cataog Name
Converted
LR3 Catalog Name
Lightroom 2 Catalog.lrcat
Lightroom 2 Catalog-2.lrcat
This is somewaht confusing, but what you see actually IS an LR3 catalog.
If you want you can rename it by renaming the file "Lightroom 2 Catalog-2.lrcat" AND the folder "Lightroom 2 Catalog-2 Previews.lrdata".

3GS only showing recurring events on calendar before 9/23/12 but all events are showing in icloud and on laptop.

Discovered my 3GS no longer shows on the calendar nonrepeating events before 9/23/12. However, those events show in icloud and on my laptop. We tried reloading icloud but still missing. Guess is due to downloading of IOS6 - if so, why didn't Apple let us know we couldn't download upgrade to 3GS? Also, will be ordering Iphone 5 and want to ensure have ALL calendar etc. downloaded. Can it be done using the 3GS in the store or will I have to take home and do with laptop?

Did you try going to Settings>iCloud and turning Calendars to Off and when it asks if you want to keep the data, declining? This will erase the calendar from your phone but not from iCloud. Then, after waiting a minute or so, turn Calendars back to On, and if prompted, choose Merge to redownload your calendar.

Can't access a web/mail server, but all other sites show up fine

I have an Aiport Extreme going into a cable modem. I have one hard wired iMac and several WiFi devices, including a MacBook Pro and an iPad running off the wireless network. Everything's been fine until...
As of last night, I am unable to pull up my professional web site or check my e-mail. Either the iMac directly connected to the APE (AirPort Extreme) can access it nor can my wireless devices on the wireless network. Every other site I draw up comes up just fine and I can access e-mail on other services (MobileMe for example). I have tried using Safari and FireFox on the Macs to test it also. Connection times out.
I have asked other people to pull up my web site and it comes up for them just fine every time. If I use my iPhone and turn off the wireless netowrk and just go over the 3G, my site and e-mail come in just fine.
I went into the APE and changed a few settings with no change. I then changed the mode from Shared Access to Bridge Mode and success, I was able to access my web site and e-mail again. However, this disables the network and any Internet sharing. Not viable. When I turn on the sharing again, the same problem happens. Right back where I was.
I have tried ordering the router to renew the lease...no joy. I'm at a loss. When I PING my web site address, I get " Request timeout for icmp_seq # ". Any idea what to do?

Match is off but all songs show in Music app

I have turned off Match but all songs still show up in Music app. This makes the music app very slow because Match has lots of songs from the iMac.
I have a iPhone 4S. I restored iOS and I still have the problem.
I also have an iPhone 5 logged in to the same iTunes account and it does not have this problem.

Are you sure they're not really there? Streaming on an iPhone isn't really streaming. Even though it still shows the little cloud, it actually downloads the song until space is needed. If you turn off Match or turn off
"Show all music", these files will appear. If you haven't run low on space, everything you've ever listened to will be there.
If you actually want to delete all the music on your phone, try
Settings->General->Usage->Music
then do "Edit" or right-swipe to delete it all.
On the other hand, this really shouldn't slow things down. I have an iPhone 4 and a huge Matched music collection, and it's pretty fast.

Photos not showing in media view but are in catalogue

In Elements 12 not all photos are showing in the standard ALL MEDIA view, but it says they are in the catalogue if I trey to import a sample of the missing photos. Most of my albums are blank too.
It was working fine yesterday but the problem has occurred today.

HELP- Need to set up Elements 10 as external editor from LR3, but layers aren't available

Help! I am trying to set up Elements10 to open as external editor from LR3 but I must not be doing something right. When I "edit in" and select elements10 from LR3, it brings the photo up. However, none of the layers options are available. They are all grayed out. I need to be able to access layers. Help!!!! Anyone know what's going on?

You probably exported the photo to photoshop elements 10 as a 16 bits/channel file, so go to Image>Mode in photoshop elements 10
and click on 8 bits/channel so you can use layers.

You can have a different receiving email in the Messages app on each device : Settings > Messages > Receive At . I'm not sure that there is a different way to have the message only go to one device.

Were the app in your iTunes library? If not the app data in the backup has no place to go. Redownload the apps in your iTunes libaray

and then restore from backup.

Otherwise, try restoring from backup again.
If still problem that means the backup does not include the data.

No, your Yahoo account is not in iCloud (which only handles iCloud mail), it is in Yahoo, and the Yahoo mail account is on your iPad.

I still cannot see all the music; some I downloaded and some I purchased. For example, I downloaded two CDs by The Band Perry; one is on iTunes and one isn't. I purchased iTunes Match before I changed computers so I could transfer it all to my new machine without have to load CDs again. I also purchased some songs that are no longer there.
I looked at the article you referenced and have completed all the recommended steps. I have authorized this computer and updated iTunes match. Is there any way to recover the music I downloaded, as well as purchases I made? (I purchased Viva la Vida by Coldplay and it's not on my iTunes. I had the same problem and was able to fix it. Go to your iTunes and click on the Tones folder on the left under library. Some of my ring tones had an exclamation mark next to it and those were the ones that did not sync. You have to click on those and find it in your computer. Once the exclamation mark is gone, go to Tones section of your device in iTunes, make sure you select the tones you want synced, and click apply. I hope that helps you!
