I'm organising my Aperture library today and I'm going to go through my photos folder, import the images to Aperture and then delete the original folders. Just curious if deleting the source folders is a big no-no or not.

Alright. For my case was, my source files are inside the Document folders. Since importing the pictures into Aperture, deleting the source files/folders did not cause any problems with Aperture.
Whether it is a good idea or would depend on how comforatble you are with the idea in the first place. On one hand you can save up precious hard disk space, while on the other if the Aperture library gets corrupted, you might lose everything. Of course, having a backup of the Aperture library helps, as well as a time machine backup of it. On top of that you can also have an Aperture Vault to backup the library to a external drive.
In summary i think a reasonlable backup plan is just as important regardless of whether or not the source file is in which location. For my case, i only have the Aperture library as all of my source. A time machine backs up everything including my library, in addition to that, i also use Aperture Vault to back up to another external drive just in case.

Safe mode is not what you want in this case. Reboot to recovery mode - hold down cmd-R as the Mac reboots. Go past the language-selection screen, click the Utilities menu, then Terminal. Type:
resetpassword
Followed by the return key, and follow the prompts. Reboot normally when done.

A library on my hard drive became corrupted, so I over-wrote it from an external hard drive. When I now access the library on my hard drive, many of the images are vertical, and cannot be rotated other than one at a time. Ideas to correct this?
You had already done "Repair" and "Rebuild"? These usually takes scores of minutes or hours.
Does the Library on your external drive work from the external drive? Navigate to it in Finder and double-click the name.
If it does, delete the problem Library, empty the System Trash, reboot, Verify your system disk using Disk Utility (and might as well repair permissions while you're at it), reboot, test the external drive Library once more to confirm it works properly, then close it and copy the Library to your system drive. When the copying is done, double-click the Library (now on the system drive) and see what you get. -
Firefox upon opening an image in a new tab, centers the image from top and bottom and surrounds the image with a grey frame. Just started having the problem today, searched Google to no avail.

There might be a more elegant solution than that, but you could use a bookmarklet to strip out that link when you want to view the page in its old style. A bookmarklet is a snippet of JavaScript you save on the Bookmarks toolbar for quick access.

Next, if you are not displaying the Bookmarks Toolbar, use View > Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar to display it. (If you aren't using the classic Menu bar, press Alt+v to call up the old View menu. Right-click on the Bookmarks Toolbar (or Mac equivalent of right-click!) and choose New Bookmark.
Paste the code into the Location box (the second box).
Then type a useful name in the Name box (e.g., Oldstyle Picture) and click Add.
Now, when you want to tweak the image display, click the button to run the script.
Manual clicking is a hassle, so it might make sense to look into other solutions. (Greasemonkey didn't seem to work; I think it might not run on .jpg files.) -
I am getting a message that my iphoto library cannot be opened because I mades changes to my photos in a newer version of iphoto and I need to quit and use the newest version of iPhoto. but in update, it says i have no updates. i dont even remember making changes in iphoto.Help. thanks.
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later...
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

I previously uploaded images onto my desktop to work on in Lightroom 5.2. I worked on a few of the images days ago and just now getting back to them. My problem is I can only access the images I previously worked on and all the rest it says images not available but all the images are still right on my desktop.

Flash changes the image's colour and quality

I've been working on an animation with the image fading in and zoomin in. However, I noticed that the image has different colour in a flash animation from the same image used on the same website as an image in a jquery gallery.

The other thing is, when animating image in flash, it looses its quality and becomes a bit pixelated. Why is it happening?
I would appreciate any help.If you are animating the image, you should set the smoothing property of the image to be true. If you have the image in the library, then right click it in the library, choose Properties, and select the option to Allow Smoothing. This should help with pixelation and other impacts of animating the image.
You might also adjust any other settings in that same interface. It is possible the color change is due to optimization settings in Flash. -

I've just bought a Macbook Pro 15" and I'm trying to use Photoshop, but the resolution its displaying the images at for 100% are too small. I have to design for the web, so need to be intricate with detail, but I'm finding it adjusts the resolution of the image right down. (I mean you can see the image clearly, but it's too small to edit). When I look at Safari and see a web page at 100% it's clear, but the same page displayed in Photoshop CC appears 50% of the size (even though it says it's 100%) If I move the application window to another screen it adjusts it correctly – leaving all the pallettes, menus and tools correctly sized as they are on the retina display Is there some way to adjust the way Photoshop CC displays images so it is more consistent with what you actually see? There doesn't seem to be any answer on the Adobe forum, so hopefully someone here can shed some light. MacBook Pro with Retina display, 15", OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), Photoshop CC 2014
I tested both ways. With "open in low resolution" ckecked the size of the images is cool, but it is low-resolution including Photoshop appearance.
If "open in low resolution" is unckecked the appearance is good but the very small size.
See the image below. It has 650 x 732 px, 72 dpi. The font of the text "Neste aniversário ..." is with 18pt. -
So I have been creating a logo for my company and it came out great. The problem is, when I format it for PNG or when I want to use it on fresh books or my webpage, the image becomes blurred and the text is not as clear. How do I fix this? Is it because the text get shrunk?

When using Firefox certain videos play but the image is green and distorted. The image turns into lines and sometimes it half of the screen of the video. Examples are streaming MLB.tv video and some vimeo videos. The odd thing is that it isn’t all Vimeo videos. Is this a flash issue?
The issue does not happen with Internet Explorer which leads me to believe this is an issue with Firefox. I downgraded to 3.5 and the issue still persists.

I am unable to see the images in Aperture trash, though there are a number indicated in the trash. I have "show all" selected. What settings am I missing?
You may have an invisible filter on your trash.

I got CS4 software. When the first time i install, i chose the normal installation content. Then I found that there was no photoshop on the start menu. After that I try to put the disk into the notebook again and find that there is no photoshop listed on the "installation list"

Catch the image of JTree and save it as a file
There is an JTree and it has a few nodes.
And there, I want to capture both the image of JTree and
the images of it's child nodes as they show in screen.
if possible, I want to capture image of all expanded nodes in tree and
save them as jpg file.
I try to capture the Image of JTree from JTree.createImage() method.
and I also tried to capture the images of child nodes
from JTree.getComponents() and capture images all of child nodes as they were.

don't know if I got you right, but what you want is a "screenshot" of the JTree, right ?
Try to paint the JTree in a BufferedImage and encode this as JPEG or whatever.
