I'm printing from Autocad 2002 to Adobe Acrobat XI. Need help.

When I print to file, first of all it doesn't open the folder & display the drawing even though I have the 'View Adobe PDF results' box checked in the printing preferences. And secondly, when I open the .pdf, the orientation is portrait instead of landscape which it needs to be to view & print to paper. I've tried everything I can think of but can't find the solution. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's probably a compatibility problem with the updated PDF libraries vs. you hopelessly old ACAD that can't be resolved. In any case, I'd consider it one of those things of trying to attack the problem on the wrong end. All major CAD programs have native PDF export these days and even ACAD has had since v2006 at least...

We have adobe acrobat 8 on another system that seems to work fine, what elsedo we need to do to get this trial version to work properly.
We are able to get everything set up , sized, etc, but when the actual process starts it is stating "autocad not responding and it just spins and never makes the actual final pdf.
Any help on this would be appreciated

I will try to print from word to the Adobe printer. Sometimes it just freezes. I cannot select another printer. It’s like all my printers are gone. Sometimes I get an “Unable to Connect” error and sometimes I get “1 document in printer queue”. No matter what printer I choose after I try to go to Adobe, I cannot connect to a printer. The only solution I have come up with is a clean reboot which I can't afford to do 4-5 times a day.
Currently on Acrobat XI Pro 11.0.09

The first step I would try is delete the Adobe pdf printer and then repair Acrobat.
Repairing Acrobat will bring back the pdf printer. We released an update yesterday i.e. 11.0.10. try updating to the latest version and check.
Have you tried uninstalling the software and reinstalling it.
You might also want to check the performance in a new admin user account.

If you are on Windows, you can download and install the CreatePDF Desktop Printer, which would allow you to "print" to PDF from Word. You'll find a link to the installer on the CreatePDF page at https://cloud.acrobat.com. Here are the instructions for installing it: Using Adobe PDF Pack

Welcome to the HP forums! I understand you are unable to print wireless on your Laserjet P1102. If this printer is connected by a USB cable, then try Converting from a USB connected printer to wireless. Please let me know if this step doesn't work.
What is your operating system on your computer? Windows.
Make sure you turn off any Firewalls or Anti-Virus on your computer.

Images Sent to Back move to front when converting from Word 2010 to Adobe Acrobat XI

Images that have been set "Send to Back" and wrapping is set to "Behind Text" will move to front, overlapping text when file is converted to Adobe Acrobat XI. I'm on Windows 7. Anyone having this problem?

How you convert the document to PDF format? Export/Create a PDF, Save as PDF, print as PDF, or using Adobe Acrobat?
Please try to save the document as PDF format and then check the result in Adobe Reader.
If you are using Word 2010/2013, the save as PDF is a build-in function and you can find it from File > Save as
If you are using Word 2007, please firstly download and install the Microsoft Office Add-in - Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS .

Newer versions of Acrobat's AutoCAD plug-in support newer versions of AutoCAD. Older versions of Acrobat have plug-ins that obviously don't support versions of AutoCAD newer than the Acrobat release. FYI, Acrobat 9 was released over seven years ago.

Point 1: try turning on "Show large images" in your preferences. In Acrobat for Windows, it's under the Page Display preferences. I'm not sure about OS X.

You can't merge comments using any of the Acrobat.com online services (ExportPDF, Adobe PDF Pack, and so on). But you can with an Acrobat subscription. Please see Adobe Acrobat X Standard * Publish comments from other reviewers from instructions.

Officejet 7000 does not print from Autocad 2011

I couldn't print on an A3 paper any cad drawings from Autocad 2011 software. However, if I printi it to pdf, and open PDF and give a print on A3 it works. A3 size printing is working on other softwares - Word, Excel etc but not Autocad 2011.
Please help.

Image moves when printed from SAP queue versus Adobe Reader.

I've got a form with a image embedded into it that serves as a background watermark.
This document is usually printed from Adobe Reader, however some users have requested the ability to print directly to a SAP printer without using Adobe Reader to print using windows drivers.
When the form is sent to a SAP printer the image watermark is for some reason moved about 3mm to the right which causes the watermark not to align with the Text Fields that also print on the form. The text fields do not move, they print in exactly the same spot with either print method. Only the image seems to be affected.
Has anyone run into this? The image is an embeded .png file that is set to Scale Image Poportionally in the sizing options.

I looked at the notes you suggested and it does seem related to the extra margin added to documents printed to PCL-5.
If I use LiveCycle to set an image field .5mm from the left edge of the page, and then print it from SAP directly and then from Adobe Reader I see two different things.
Adobe Reader (with page scaling option turned off) will simply omit anything that falls outside the printable range.
SAP will move the omitted content into the printable area. This is what is causing my image watermark not to align properly with the text in front of it. The image field was too close to the left margin and so in the process of printing, SAP has moved it over to fit in the printable area.
It seems I can fix this issue for my particular requirement by creating a new image field that has the extra white space removed so that I can keep the image field farther away from the left edge of the page.
Not sure if there is some way to change the way the drivers for device type HPLJ4 are handling these margins, but it will likely just be easier to change the images to move them further from the edge which seems to fix it.

My work requires that when I create prints for artists I must replicate all the prints exactly everytime. It worked perfectly from PSE2, PSE3 and PSE4 but now......
I am unable to replicate quality of printing on MACOSX PSE6. it works great on PSE4. I mailed some printed images on art paper to adobe in amsterdam and a cd with the same images. After weeks of discussions phone, email and after testing using their work flow....they came back with some answers.
Finally a couple of replies from Adobe re colour problems and they have accepted that they are double managing the image and that I should use printer management to do the colour conversion.. here are their two replies and the comment that they will now drop me until???????

This issue is affecting all printers, not just Epson or Canon.   The soft proofing effect that you are seeing in the print preview is indeed an attempt at soft proofing. However since Photoshop Elements managed prints are incorrectly double colour managed it is not as useful as it was initially designed.   As to the exact details of why this occurred, we have no official information.   We believe that this will resolve the issues you are experiencing, however, should the reply not help solve the problem, please contact us again, quoting the case number given above, and we will re-open the case.

Closing this case does not mean that the research will stop however and the engineers are working on a solution to this.
