I'm retiring an old computer and loaded Acrobat 9 Pro on a new computer.

I entered the serial number, then was prompted for the serial number for an older version. I have no idea what version this was updated from or the serial number. How do I proceed with the installation?

You apparently had an upgrade version of AA9. You have to have the serial number of the previous version to install it. If you do not have the CD of that version, then Adobe Support may be able to help as long as you had registered the product. If no registration, did you register the other AA9 install. If not, then maybe go back and register it to see if Adobe can help you.

I also have my ipods, iphone sync'd in the old computer so i want to make sure that things won't get messed up (my apps, playlists, etc) when i move over everything to the new computer and sync all my devices with the new computer.

Make sure the XP box is upgraded to the latest version of itunes. Also make sure it's using the itunes media folder layout as explained here, because that's what the W7 is going to be using.

Install itunes on the new W7 PC.
Get these folders from the XP machine
C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes
C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
And put them here on the W7 machine
C:\users\username\My Music\iTunes
C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\

I replaced my computer. When I try to load my music from my ipod to the new computer's itunes, the only option is: "this ipod is synced to another library. Do you wish to erase and load with this library". The new computers library is of course empty. Any ideas?

You should be able to recover the media currently on the iPod with the tips in this post from forum regular Zevoneer.
If you are in the US you should be able to download purchased tracks that are still on sale in the iTunes store on demand once you sign into your iTunes account. If you live anywhere else you may find that a request to redownload your previous purchases might be granted, but the store is under no obligation. You were reminded to back them up at the time of purchase.

It sounds like you are wanting to update the Apps that were synced over from your computer to your new iPhone 5s. If you are clicking Updates in the App Store in the bottom right corner, would you mind clarifying what happens when you are trying to update them?

You can likely download the last compatible version by:
Starting when iOS 7 was released, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)
App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

Please download Acrobat X Pro from the link below.

Install the software and when prompted for the previous version qualifying product, select Acrobat 9 and enter the serial key of Acrobat 9.
This should install and activate Acrobat X Pro on the machine.

You really should change both the wireless network name and password to avoid potential conflicts with the old and new settings.

YOu have purchased or been sold an upgrade from Acrobat 9 or 10. You simply need to prove you own that old version using its serial number. be sure to keep both serials forever.
