I'm running Leopard and I need to sync my new Iphone

But I can't upgrade to Snow Leopard. Can you help me to solve this?
Thanks!
Victor

What computer are you using? Are you positive you can not upgrade to Snow Leopard?  If you truly can not then you are out of luck.  There are no workarounds.
Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About this Mac" and "More Info..."  Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).

You supply little pertinent about the MBP and the iPhone.
First... on the MBP... Click on the Apple icon.. Top left in Finder...
 > About this Mac > Version...what does it say?
Which iPhone and what is its' iOS Version.

  • My husband and I need to swap our new iphone 4s's, can we change the numbers ourselves?

My husband and I got the new iphone 4s's and mine didnt come right away, long story short, I activated his phone with my number but now that I have mine (its white with the apple care) I want to switch phones. The line at Sprint was an hour long and I wondered if we can just do it ourselves as were both pretty savvy.

Just call Sprint.  They will walk you through it.

You will need to upgrade your MacBook OS to at least 10.5.8 or preferably Snow Leopard 10.6.X

  • Running Leopard and Snow Leopard

Hey guys and gals... I recently bought a new macbook pro with snow leopard installed. This is all great, but the program that I use the most (pro tools) only works on leopard (unless of course I want to pay 150 dollars to upgrade my pro tools, which I do not). Is there any way to run leopard and snow leopard just as some people run windows and osx? I would also like to not have to restart my computer every single time I wanted to switch back and forth. ANY help is greatly appreciated!

Is there any way to run leopard and snow leopard just as some people run windows and osx?
Basically, not if the computer was released after Mac OS X 10.6.
I would also like to not have to restart my computer every single time I wanted to switch back and forth.
This function requires Mac OS X Server.

  • Dear Madam/ Sir. I have problem, I forgot the Encrypt iphone backup password. And I need to backup to now Iphone 5s but I can't.  Please help me.

    Dear Madam/ Sir.
I have problem, I forgot the Encrypt iphone backup password. And I need to backup to now Iphone 5s but I can't.
    Please help me.

You must first buy Snow Leopard from Apple: 800-MY-APPLE (in the US)
Make sure your system meets Snow Leopard's requirements:
Mac OS X 10.6 "Snow Leopard" System Requirements
To install Snow Leopard for the first time, you must have a Mac with:
    An Intel processor
An internal or external DVD drive, or DVD or CD Sharing
At least 1 GB of RAM (additional RAM is recommended)
A built-in display or a display connected to an Apple-supplied video card supported by your computer
At least 5 GB of disk space available, or 7 GB of disk space if you install the developer tools

  • Need 10.7 to sync my new iPhone 5 and new iPad 4 with my Mac Book Pro, but it's 10.5.8? What do I do?

I need  OS 10.7 to sync my new iPhone 5 and new iPad 4 with my Mac Book Pro, but my MBPro has 10.5.8? What do I do? I want to fix my problem now, but it wants me to purchase the Snow Leopard software and wait for it to be delivered. Why can't I purchase it and then download? Any ideas?

Upgrade Paths to Snow Leopard, Lion, and/or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard — Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service — this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mountain Lion — System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) —
                 Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
    Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table — RoaringApps.
For a complete How-To introduction from Apple see Upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion.

Please check your internet connection or try back later.
My internet works fine and I have tried back dozens of times with same result.

Did you ever figure out the problem? "Contact Software Manufacturer"?? That sounds ominous... I've got the same issue and I'm pretty durn aggravated right about now....

You can only deauthorize everything to do that. Click on Account under Quick Links. You can deauthorize all five there. But you can only do this once a year.

Rather than do that, which means starting over from scratch, losing all your edits, organisation and so on, why not simply use iPhoto Library Manager to revert the Library to the older version? Easier, less destructive.
The instructions on that are here
If you really want to start over: you can access the Originals folder simply by going to your Pictures Folder and finding the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.

  • HT4113 My screen in broken and I need to sync/backup my phone. Please help!!!

My iphone 5 screen went out on me (it is blacked out) and I need to sync/backup my phone before I get it serviced for a new screen.  Unfortuantely, I am unable to sync my device to my itunes on my macbook, because it is asking me to enter my passcode to unlock my phone.  The only problem is my screen doesn't work so I am unable to do so!  I am able to call Siri on my phone, but even she is saying she cannot unlock my phone even if I verbally told her my password. I already have an apple appointment set up, but I didn't realize this question until I got home.  I understand my itunes purchases are retrievable- it's my personal photos, notes, videos etc that I am trying to save.  My cloud backup is already maxed out, but there is still more stuff on my phone to salvage.  I would like to have my phone info backed up before they fix/restore my screen. I risk losing everything! (disclaimer: My previous laptop has been broken so I was unable to do a recent backup, hence my frustration).  Please, if you can offer me any constructive advice on how to sync my disabled screen and passcode-locked phone, that would be greatly appreciated!

I am connected to a Mac with OS 10.4. Thank  you!

I have a new computer and i need to sync my phone to update, but i'm afraid if I do I will lose alot of stuff....is this correct?

Third time I've answered this question today.
The BEST way is to copy your data from your old computer to your new computer, or, if you don't have the old computer anymore the backup that you should have made of it before retiring it. If neither of these is possible see this user tip: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141
