I'm running OS X 10.7.5 on my MacBook Pro. I can't get a DVD to eject. I'm getting an error message "supported disc not available" when I try to use the DVD player eject button. It also does not show up on my desk top as an icon as it normally would. How can I get the disc to eject?

My quess is that the new software just doesn't allow the disk drive to work. I would love an explanation why this doesn't work and some help getting it to work. It's really frustrating because I get a bunch of CDs from work and never get to listen to them on my MacBook.

Make sure the discs are free of finger prints. The optical drive cannot read a disc with smudges and dust.
Check Finder > Preferences > General
Make sure: CDs, DVDs, and iPods, is selected.

I have had the same problem. It was cured by turning computer off and/or restarting it. I am not sure if once was enough. I think shutting down must cut out whatever it is that blocks bluetooth. Good luck

Exact same thing is happening to me. Couldn't find where to view the Itunes version number after a quick look. I hate the "simplified" interface by the way. On windows 8.1. 404 is a http status code meaning it could not find the link, presumably the subscription link is down or has moved.

My MacbookPro is only 5 months old and in really good condition. The only problem I am encountering is that when I insert any type of dvd disc, it starts to make this weird grinding noise that goes eeee-eeee, and then does that a couple of times and then the disc ejects on its own. When i try to play it with idvd, it does the same noise thing and then iDvd state "supported disk not available". The dvd does not even read on the computer.

If only five months old it is still under warranty. Take it back.

How did you move the music to the external drive? What exactly is on the drive? The entire iTunes folder or only music? If it is the entire iTunes folder you can do the option+start suggestion earlier. What you are experiencing is 100% related to Malware.

To download/install an app directly to the iPod you need available storage equal to about three times the file download size. Syncing the app to the iPod requires a lot less. Thus you either have to free up more storage or sync the app from your computer.

I have a PDF file which displays an error message. It's fine, how do I get rid of the message?

I have combined a new PDF (printed from a Word file) and an older PDF (from an InDesign document). I see an error message on the first page of the older PDF. It says:
Could not find the XObject named 'Fm0'.
I click OK to clear the error, and there is nothing wrong with the file. I have to put this into an unforgiving PLM system with lots of approvers, and someone is sure to object to seeing this error message. What can I do to get rid of it?

I googled PDF Optimizer and there were several free PDF Optimizer downloads listed. They appeared to be from different companies; FyTek, cvisiontech, softpedia, etc. Is there one that is better for getting rid of of my error message?
I am familiar with the concept of preflighting files; but I don't have any software that does this. Can you suggest one?

You cannot lose Safari as it is part of iOS. It's on your iPad somewhere.
Here are some choices how to proceed:
1. Go to your home screen, swipe from left to right, and type "Safari" in the search screen. You will find a link to take you there.
2. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout

Is the MacBook the computer you have synced with in the past? If not you can use the computer that you have synced with to restore your apps. Are you sure you are using the same Apple ID that you used to purchase the Apps?

ITunes has stopped working error message on opening iTunes. How do I get passed this

Same problem here! Moreover, for some reason, the pictures in my iPhone 3GS somehow have been divided into 2 folders, Photos and Medialibrary. And when I open iPhone as a folder through the explorer I can see only the Photos folder, but cannot see the Medialibrary folder which stores the photos taken before updating/upgrading the iPhone and getting separated folders!!! What the hack with all of this?!!! When I connect iPhone to PC it automatically opens iTunes and starts syncronizing it, but at the process of OPTIMIZING the photos (and according to the number of photos it shows, I see that it tries to syncronize that invisible Medialibrary folder) the process suddenly stops and error message pops out Tried the sync test, tried the button DEBUG in that pop out message, but NOTHING HELPS!!! Also, when I open the Medialibrary in my iPhone, the screen get sblack all through scrolling it down, only the video clips are shown there... >.<

Error Message: Code could not be generated successfully for the VI

I created a simplified model of an 8-pole DC servo motor with friction brakes that drives an actuator through a gear train. I can't get past the subject error message. The error is about the VI named ""Sermat 3-Phase 8-Pole Motor with Friction Brake"" in the package attached. One thing I noticed is that when I make any minor modification to this VI, even a trivial one (like multiplying a signal by a gain of one, or changing the value of a gain from a to b) the VI stops complaining for a while and simulates/runs well. But as soon as you close the VI and open it up again, it goes back crazy on you again.
I appreciate if someone can guide me as to why this happens an what am I doing wrong here. Appreciate the help :-)!
