I'm Scared! Syncing Applications, HELP!

I have never synced my apps on my 3GS, so when I backed it up and I restored it to my new iPhone 4, I lost all my apps. So for the last 4 hours I have gone through itunes and reinstalled my apps to the new iPhone. I want to sync my new phone but when I click on sync apps it says its gonna erase everything and put in the apps that are in itunes. BUT THERE ARE NONE. How can I put all the apps from my iphone into itunes, so that I can mark sync without erasing all my hard work?

Yeah whoever (or the team [that]) came up with the iTunes app sync needs to be fired as its a sorry excuse for the word "sync".
1) It doesn't sync saved data
2) It doesn't sync saved phone app order
... the whole thing needs to be reworked. C'mon... the point of sync is to update changes on the adjacent device depending on last update/change. If I delete an app on my iPhone, delete that crap out of iTunes!! Vica-versa. At least give us that option.. the current system is stupid.

Time out error on Receiver adapter : Sync application request expired

Hi ,
I am getting the following error in the Audit log of the Adapter Engine . The scenario is a sync BPM scenario.
It is a receiver adapter which is connecting to a NON SAP System.
Delivering the message to the application using connection tc_adapter_http://ecs.com/pi/ERPXPDM_4_TCENT failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessageExpiredException: Sync application request expired.. Setting message to status failed.
The messages have failed status. The error occured only once and did not get repeated.
Please help me in finding the cause of the same.
I think it is due to the Non sap system not responding at that particular instance. Please clarify.

Smart sync application

I am using WebAS 6.40 SP16 and MI client is MI2.5 sp15 patch04.
I want to create a smart sync application for practice.I am just trying the examples given in the MDK
(for them the BAPI wrappers already exist).I created a syncBO for the bapi wrapper MEREP_CONTACT_GETLIST.I followed the

just include the property file in ur application(because of that missing resource exception) ,then export it as WAR file and upload that WAR file corresponding to ur created MCD through Web Console ,assign that to particular user , while sync it will get downloaded to the client device (this downloading is just like deploying a J2EE application in to the server . in our case tomcat is the server for JSP Runtime).(deploy).
If u need to change entries in the configuration file (Client specific configuration), then only u have to do conifiguration in MI server(if ur MI server is configured properly).

Have u included any resources(language specific property files or property files for configurations) in your SmartSync Application?.
If yes,
correct the reference to that resource file in ur code.
one more thing..
r u using SP 09 version of developer studio for creating Smart Sync Applications.
Structure and working of(APIs used for running application in cliet side.)applications developed in SP 09 is different from those applications created in higher versions(from SP 11 v onwards ).
If u r using SP 9 , then atleast upgrade or install SP 11 (i think latest is SP 16) and try to create applications in that.
just refer this forum , in this forum i have already discussed in detail about the structural differeces of applications in SP 09 and SP 11 or higher .

ITunes freezes when trying to sync applications.

Hi first time poster and have done a search throughout the forum to see if anyone else has this problem.
I am running Windows 7 64bit and the latest version of iTunes.
I have both the iPhone 3GS and the iPad linked to my account.
Both sync contacts, calender, music, photos, tv shows and movies without any problems.
My problem is with syncing applications. When I try to sync applications iTunes just locks up.
Has anyone else encountered this problem and if so how did you solve the problem.
I have contacted Apple and they advised to uninstall iTunes and then reinstall but this didn't help.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Authorization of my computer fails, can't sync applications

My computer is one of 4 authorized computers for iTunes store. I have downloaded some free apps and 1 bought app that I wanted to install on my iPod Touch (2.2.1).
I have tried:
* Deauthorize and reauthorize the computer.
* Restore back to Factory settings of the iPod Touch
* Clicking on each application under Applications and typed in my password. It responds that I have 4 of 5 computers authorized.
Nothing helps, it's like the authorization is not registered even if it says this computer is already authorized if I try to redo it.
The account I'm logged into is an administration account in Windows Vista so that shouldn't be the problem either.
Any suggestions?
Edit: Maybe this should be under "Installing and Using iPod touch Applications" but I could find a way to delete it or move it.

This is what I did
1. Selected an app at iTunes Store i.e. Flight Control and clicked "Buy" (or "Get App" when it was a free app)
2. Typed in my password for iTunes Store
3. The app is now under "Software" in iTunes.
4. Attach my iPod Touch via USB
5. It sync automatically and a popup comes up saying "Some of the applications in your iTunes library including "Flight Control", where not installed on the iPod "Béatrice Karjalainen's iPod" because you are not authorized for them on this computer."
I searched for solutions on this problem in this forum and people suggested that I should reauthorize my computer bu deauthorize and authorize again. I did that. It didn't help so I continue to search for a solution. Someone said htat I could double click on each application under "Applications" and type in my iTunes Store password there so I did so. When I double click on an app it says "This computer is not authorized for "Flight Control". Would you like to authorize it? And the rest of the ordinary authorization info. I type in my password and press "Authorize" get the following as answer "This computer is already authorized".
I try to sync again, the same as before, my computer is not authorized.
I can't use App Store on the iPod as my wifi-function on the iPod seems to be broken all of a sudden. It just stopped working a couple of days ago. (And I have problems with the battery that is uncharged when listening to audio books within less then 2 hours).
I run iTunes 8.1.0.52.

I can sync applications on my iPhone but not music

As the subject says, I can sync applications and I can backup my iPhone (3G 2.2).
When I try to sync music it says "the required disk cannot be found" and "the disk could not be read from or written to".
With other computers it works fine and on my computer I can sync music to my old 20gb iPod.
So it's not a problem of the iPhone or of iTunes or of the usb ports.
I can also read the filesystem using diskaid so I don't see where the problem could be.
I tried all these combinations: iPhone 2.1 or 2.2, iTunes 8.0, 8.0.1, 8.0.2, tried to restore the iPhone OS and refresh my iTunes library. Nothing helps.
What should I do?

I am having the same exact problem with my iPhone 3G. I've tried reinstalling iTunes and the problem persists. The only difference is that I get the "the disk could not be read from or written to" error, but not the "disk can not be found" error.

Cannot sync application and applecare for iphone 3G

I had many sad problem with my handphone since bought in Sept 2008. Trying to resolve the problem at Chadstone Melbourne in Dec 2008, but they only mentioned that it was the application that was a problem. Apparently I lived in overseas and bought the iphone3G outright at Optus.
I have problem with syncing application that are more than 50Mb. Any update of an application that are more than 50 MB, during syncing it will switched/restarted the iphone for many times until I decided to delete the apps. What should I do?
I also had try to find out if there are any extended warranty to iphone in Australia, it seemed that there were none. Could anyone help? My reason was to maintain guarantee toward my Dec 2009 returning to Melb to service this phone.

Did you try to reset your phone by holding the sleep and home button until you see the Apple logo?
Do you use wifi to update apps with more than 50MB?
I also had try to find out if there are any extended warranty to iphone in Australia, it seemed that there were none.
After AppleCare for the iphone was introduced in the US it took some time until I could buy it in my Apple Store, so maybe you'll have to wait a little longer or call Apple Store Australia and ask if they know about that program.

Sync applications checkbox is disabled - cannot sync any apps

I just upgraded my iphone to 3.0. To do that I had to upgrade to itunes 8.2 first, which I could only do on a new PC. All my apps and appear fine in my itunes library. I authorised the new computer. When I try to sync, the applications are not syncing and the checkbox on the apps tab is disabled - cannot even click it on ! HELP I have wasted 3 hours already and have lost all my apps on the phone.

You can't sync applications with manually manage music and videos selected, so make sure this isn't selected. Are you syncing contacts, calendar events, and Safari bookmarks with a supported application on your computer, and are you transferring photos on your computer, or transferring iTunes music? If so, does your selected iTunes music and photos transfer to your iPhone when syncing, and are your contacts and calendar events synced with a supported application on your computer when syncing?
Have you tried disconnecting your iPhone followed by re-starting your computer, and reconnect your iPhone to iTunes after your computer has re-started to see if this makes any difference?

IPad sync app help!

i purchased my ipad yesterday and today got it ready and registered but when i try to sync applications on my ipad it tells me that it was not installed because im not authorized to use it on this computer then it says to authorize this computer for items purchased from the ITunes Store. choose store> Authorize This Computer .... The directions confused me can anyone help me on the directions? so i can sync my applications

Just do what the dialogue box said. In iTunes click on the Store tab and then click on the Authorize This Computer option and follow the instructions.

Photoshop CS4 in-application help

I am using the trial Photoshop CS4 and cannot get the in-application Help to work. the CS3 Help works just fine.
When I launch Help from the Menu bar I am directed to the Adobe Site.
When I launch the Adobe Help application from the Applications folder, I get the Help window, and when I click on the 'Help for' menu and Choose 'Adobe Photoshop CS4' I get this

it is an itouch, i buy apps from the app store, they are purchased, they show up in my app section but when i try to sync them to my itouch they do not show up in on the itouch. i have tried to atuthorize and deauthorize the computer also few times, rebooted computer and still nothing. when i restore the firmware and have everything reinstall all over again the apps music and such, all show up. however if i buy a new app and try to sync it with the itouch it does not show up despite the fact that the computer states 'installing "......" whatever app. it happens with numerous apps, there is no rhyme and reason to why certain apps just do not show up on the itouch. the authorize/deauthorize deal does nothing to rectify the situtaion. any other ideas ?

Generic Sync Application and Persistence DB2e

Hi all,
I have a generic sync application. I need persistence and so, I have created a xml file with many syncbo to manage the persistence with db2e. If I execute the statement before the synchronization:
SmartSyncRuntime.getInstance().getSyncBoDescriptorFacade().getAllSyncBoDescriptors().size()
the result is five (because I have five syncbo).
But when I do a generic synchronization and I try to store data of this synchronization into syncbo, I get an exception because only there is one syncbo.
In fact, the previous statement returns only one synbo. This syncbo is called MIAUTH and I don´t have defined it.
How can I solve this issue? Thanks a lot.

Hi all,
I know it is better to use persistence API than syncbos in generic sync application but we have many problems with persistence API and SP versions. While SAP solve our problems we are searching any alternative.
We use MVC and after doing generic synchronization, if the application generates a event and navigate to other jsp and in it, the application generates other event, I get all of my syncbos.
How could I simulate it, after generic sync finishes, in the same method by code? Any ideas?

Error while opening the application help
