I'M READING THAT CERTAIN GAMES DON'T WORK, ALL MP3S WON'T PLAY, THE HARD DRIVE CRASHING, COVER FLOW IS SLOW, THE IPOD WON'T READ ON ITUNES, FREEZING. I REALLY WANT TO GET IT BUT I'M HESITANT

I recently upgraded to the 160GB from the 5th gen 80GB and I can say definately that if you care more about the way it looks then go for the new one, but if you care more about functionality then stay with the 5th gen or wait.
I have had serious problems with adding shows not from itunes to the TV category, it completely messes up the order of the itunes and nonitunes shows when nonitunes shows are on there. This wasn't a problem in the 5th gen.
And what is the most annoying for me is that when I watch a 16:9 movie not from itunes, it displays black bars of theirs, which are really dark and halfway to the picture on the top and bottom the black bars are much lighter. The picture isn't effected, but imagine seeing a box within a box for a couple of hours, it will drive you insane. This also wasn't a problem on the 5th gen.
I tried to contact them a few times and no one can even give me the slightest answer as to if this will be updated or not, which it probably won't, so I strongly suggest to wait until they fix all the bugs or check out some other MP3 players on the market that do not have these problems.

Where? Regardless, there are always going to be a handful of people having some sort of issue with any given device, but I would not therefore assume that you would be one of them.

I feel your pain. People can leave bad reviews without even trying your application. they can leave reviews that are in a broken english that actually make ZERO sense (on the US appstore) and give you 1 star. You can click the report a concern but I have never seen Apple actually take a review down.
Any high school kid who's mom bought him an iPod Touch can leave a review like "this should be free"...1 star. And there is nothing you can do about it because Apple did not think far enough ahead about this whole AppStore process because they were in such a rush to get it out the door.
Basically, us developers are OUT of luck and just have to let our applications speak for themselves.

Well as any television network executive will tell you, for every complaint letter or email they get, there are likely a thousand people who feel the same but don't bother to comment. That's why it must be considered sample data, and only a little over a week's worth at that. That makes it even more remarkable since it reflects the latest bug fix release, and things should be getting better. I recently called Apple Support for a problem I was having with Yosemite on my 27" Cinema Display, and the hold time was 20 minutes when it's usually just a couple. Apple Support was excellent as usual once I got someone, but the long wait time tells me something is keeping them very busy these days. People don't call for support when all is well.
Now don't get me wrong - I'm a huge Apple fan and have been for many years. I've bought into the entire ecosystem with 5 Macs, 3 iPhones, 3 iPads, 3 Apple TV's, etc. I care passionately what happens with Apple and I'm looking forward to a long continued relationship with them and a bright future. But I have to honestly say that I have been concerned with the User Interface direction they have taken with iOS and now OSX over the past two years. I'm a business owner and can easily spend 12 hours a day in front of my Mac display getting real work done - not just watching videos, checking FaceBook, or playing games. I have perfect vision, but I'm getting severe eye strain from Yosemite. That's not just about disliking how it looks - it's a functional usability issue. Add to that the lack of quality control in this release (as evidenced by the widely reported wi-fi issues), and I'm genuinely and sincerely concerned about what is going on. Yes I freely admit that I'm nostalgic for how beautiful (and internally efficient) Snow Leopard was with it's colored application sidebar icons and "lickable" traffic light icons, but I could also use it and every release of OSX up to Mavericks for hours on end without eye fatigue.
And make no mistake, even with the misgivings I have over the directions taken in iOS and OSX of late, Apple is still by far better than any of the alternatives, and I will stand by them as they work their way through these growing pains, and hopefully listen to their loyal users as we express our sincere heart-felt concerns.

See um in iTunes but not on the iPod

OK I manually add content to my video iPod I do not sync.
So how come my TV shows are not showing on the iPod but in ITunes it says that they are there inside of my iPod?
I can't update my iPod to 1.2 because of iTunes 7 that i'm not running because it is crud

They do show back up if I re-add them but then they disappear from the iPod

HT1386 Problem syncing latest audiobooks. I can see it in iTunes but not on the ipod.

I have a problem syncing recently purchased audiobooks to my ipod. I can see it in iTunes library but not on the ipod. Not even the folder 'books' is visible on the ipod.

The iPod nano cannot play any sort of video content; currently, the only iPods which can are the Fifth Generation iPods.

HT4623 I downloaded the new ios 6 and I like it but now I can barely see my videos. When I turn the Ipod to the side my album cover shows up and it won't show the vidoes. How can I fix this?

How do u get rid of the album cover when u turn your Ipod to the side to watch vidoes. I downloaded the new ios 7 and now I can't watch my vidoes.

Based on other posts, the misic videos no longer play in landscape mode. You get the album covers as u describe.

Don't see inspection Lot in my SCM 5.0 system

I try to activate the functionality to see inspection lot as planned receipt to the end of the control date.
I activate this functionality in the CIF's IMG on my ECC system and activate/desactivate the Integration model for stock. So now I don't have inspection lot in my stock.
I create and activate an integration model for Inspection Lot transfer but I never see this inspection lot in my SCM 5 system.
Could you help me ?

Hi Laurent,
In the location master data in the SNP tab please maintain appropriate stock category group in the field Stock Cat. group to display the inspection stock.
In the planning book the INITIAL STOCK macro reads the stock from this category group, you should maintain all the stock category that you want to use for planning like unrestricted stock, inspection stock, vendor specific stock in this category group.

IPHONE BAD REVIEW

I gave the new IPhone a bad review, as the antenna sucks, places that my Droid X had 4 bars the Iphone has no service, Verizon is sending me to Apple, my **bleep**, is that they didn't post my review

I had the same experience so I went to Amazon and posted my honest review. I gave it a 1 star and then I noticed my browser bar said "forbidden". So bad reviews are forbidden Verizon? Isn't that an unfair consumer practice that should also forbidden? Anyway, here is my review of the IPHONE 4, likely to not be seen my many customers. Come on Verizon, stop blocking bad reviews, no wonder it's rated a 5 star phone, NOT!

"I loved this phone but had to return it because it dropped 80% of the calls I made. I had an LG Chocolate and it never droped a call. If you compare the signal strength of this phone with others it will be less and I showed the guy in the Gastonia NC store how it had two bars less that my LG and the Droid X on display. I even bought a $300 signal booster which got it up to 4 bars at my office and it still dropped calls. Verizon told me the antenna is in the stainless edge and a holder might help. I decided to exchange it for the Droid X which seems to have a better antenna and signal strength. In my opinion, the product is not ready for market. Before you buy, compare the number of bars (signal) with your current phone and others you may be considering. Btw, tech service and customer service were awesome and they troubleshot the problem for over 3 hours. After I realized it was the Iphone4, they were happy to exchange it within the 15 day window. It was quite an inconvenience to exchange the phone and there was a $35 restocking fee, but it was better than the alternative of living with dropped calls for the next 2 years. Sorry for the bad review, but if you can’t complete a call what good is having the coolest phone in town?"

Can´t see all review of the Apps

Hello,
I am viewing the Iapps for the Ipad (as I still don´t have one, but soon I will buy my Ipad2). And in all the Iapps there a some reviews.
the problem is that it states " 250 reviews ", but then below I only can see let´s say 20 reviews. It the game (Ipad) Toy Story, there are 16 reviews and only 1 review can be seen.
Why is that? Do they keep the bad reviews away? And only show you the one they want?
Or is it, because I am using Itunes in SPain, and th ereviews are from other countries?
If they have reviews, they should show them all.

This is not an "answer" to your question. But I have the same exact problem. I can edit my site's homepage. Somehow I stumbled on to the next page, I have no idea how. But the pages are NOT listed in the left-hand browser column like they're supposed to be. Why not?

App Store: Any luck removing a bad review

Has anybody had good luck reporting a bad review and having it removed? How long does that process take?

Frank, thats a good idea but unfotunately it only works in your country!
For me, this makes it rather uselss since most of the reviews and hence most of the, er, impulsive reviews are not from my country. So I just can't rate them "not useful" nore can I reply or post my own comment.
I think developers should have their own review-section in iTunesConnect where we can see all reviews from all countries and are able to post a reply or at least send an email to the reviewer. Or maybe they could forward all comments to a feedback-mail-address per default.
I figured out by coincidence that every appstore has it's own comments and its own ranking/top100-list for apps. I think thats a bad idea.
A review borad like this just makes no sense at all to me...and the sad thing is: I even miss some of the good reviews that actually help improve my app.
okay...'nuff whining! ;o)
Let's move on...I got some bugs to kill.

W520, hard drive, lots of bad blocks

Hello Everyone,
I've noticed that my hdd become very slow. I checked SMART status and it seems there are a lot of bad blocks:
"197 Current_Pending_Sector 0x0012 095 095 000 Old_age Always - 0x5121000011d8"
4568 bad blocks, yesterday I saw only 4550, so as you can see number is increasing.
Question: Could it be replaced by warranty?

If the hard drive came with the system and you are within your warranty period, then yes. It can be replaced under warranty.
