Request: Some response in the forums

I've noticed a lot of posts on broken installs, installation troubles, etc. are going completely unanswered in the forums. I would post my own issues with Fedora Core and SO7, and complete install failure of SO8 but it would be redundant and probably wouldn't be answered anyways.
So my request is that Sun actually answer some of the issues in the forums. I'm about to start looking for an alternative for my organization due to the lack of help / support.

Some issue with the Function Module u0093'SKWF_FIND_BY_QUERY' in a BW ECC6.0

Need some urgent help..
Iam facing some issue with the Function Module 'SKWF_FIND_BY_QUERY' in a BW ECC6.0 system.
As shown below, in the function module, the Table IT_PROPERTIES_RESULT gets populated with some values based on inputs like IT_CLASSES, IT_QUERY, and L.
This updation of IT_PROPERTIES_RESULT table is happening for some of the services sent through IT_QUERY and is not getting populated for some.

Help! - I don't see an answer to this synch issue in the forum

Hello,
I have a Palm TX the I have been snching to Palm desktop 6.02 on my desktop running Vista - no issues. For various reasons I must move to synching with MS outlook 2007. Initially i had no issues synching all Palm data during testing of the setup. Now the synch appears to be going fine as jusding by the Hotsynch windows during synch and no problems noted in the log. However, it doesn't appear to be actually transferring data to outlook. here is what I dd after the first test synchs where all data transferred fine. I deleted the test calendar and contact data in Outlook and emptied the deleted bin. Now when I attempt to transfer the data - the Hotsynch window progress bar spped by quickly as if there was nothing new to update and indeed the calendar and contacts remain empty. Yes, I am using the Outlook 2007 conduit, I have set the transfer options to Handheld overwrites desktop.. I do have 4 user files in outlook - 3 with different email adresses and one that is just a local storage folder area. I cannot find the transferred data in any of these locations. In fact, it seem like the Palm or Outlook rememmbers receiving the data once and will not update the outlook databse even though the calendar and contact items were all deleted. Is there a synch memory log that needs to be reset or delted and recreated? What can I do here?

Todd, have you "thrown the switch" to tell Palm Desktop to direct the data to Outlook?
Start Button/All Programs/Palm/PIM Conduit Sync/Sync with Outlook.
You said you're "using the Outlook 2007 Conduit" -- does this mean you installed the Outlook 2007 Update on top of Palm Desktop 6.2.2? If so, that may be a problem as 6.2.2 comes with 2007 compatibility built into it!
I have read several posts recently where a user made the same mistake, and it caused some problems. If throwing the switch above does not fix things, I'd uninstall/reinstall Palm Desktop, but do NOT install the Outlook 2007 patch.

Login Issues at the Forum

If I try to enter the forum area, it rejects my login with no error message. I've tried my VZ account creds and my forum creds. However, if I go to verizon.net, I can log in there and then click my way to the forum area. What's up with that???

Check your FF options/settings to see if you've enabled a notification when the page tries to redirect. If that box is ticked, untick it and try again.
If a forum member gives an answer you like, give them the Kudos they deserve. If a member gives you the answer to your question, mark the answer that solved your issue as the accepted solution.

Why have the forums quit updating? Microsoft please correct whatever some employee destroyed doing some update to the forums or something.

There must've been some Microsoft update to the forums which destroyed the updating capability when new posts are added or questions/discussions are responded to.

RFE: Some issues with the Pre/WebOS coming from the perspective of a former Windows Mobile user, Part I

I just switched over to a Palm Pre from a Windows Mobile device a week or two ago. Now, don’t get me wrong here—I really do like the Palm. For the most part, all of those things that were buggy, slow and inconsistent with Windows Mobile just simply work on the Palm, and that’s a very good thing. However, when a product is so good, it makes the problems stand out all that much more, and with a lot of the problems I’m finding, the decision making on the part of Palm that led to the problem is just baffling to me. I am hoping that I am just missing something on at least some of these issues, but so far, I have a laundry list of the things/features/omissions that I just really can't understand. Because I have 8 issues, I'm going to break these down into three separate posts, with a few days in between each. So, here goes PART I:
1) You can't select/manage multiple e-mails or text messages?  This is a pretty big problem, as I very consistently need to mark dozens and dozens of messages as read and then delete them, and swiping them off the screen one at a time just doesn't cut it. Not only is it slow and painfully cumbersome, but it leaves them all marked as unread back in Outlook. This really needs to be fixed, and I cannot imagine that even one single Palm user would disagree with me on this. Actually, I think my bigger concern is how the product got developed without this ability in the first place, especially when prior Palm offerings apparently had it.
2)  WebOS forces you to sort ALL contacts the same way?  I have many contacts set up in Outlook to be sorted by last name, and many others set up to be sorted by company name. I've done this because that is how I need them sorted--sometimes the individual is my focus, but I have their company listed, and sometimes the company is the focus, but I have an individual contact listed. Outlook, and every other contact management app I've seen, recognizes this, and allows me to sort each individual contact in the manner that best fits that contact. Unfortunately, WebOS apparently ignores the Outlook "File As" field, and makes me sort everybody the exact same way. As above, I cannot imagine anybody disagreeing with me that this is an important fix, and also as above, I can’t figure out why this wasn’t simply done this way from the get go.
3) No scroll bars?  Okay, so scrolling by flicking with your finger obviously works better than scrolling with a scroll bar along the side of the screen, but let’s not forget the fact that the scroll bar performs another EXTREMELY important function aside from actually scrolling: the scroll bar provides the user with instant feedback as to how long the list is and how far down the list the user has scrolled. These are two extremely, extremely useful pieces of information, and they are completely missing on the Pre. I tried to look through some applications on my Pre the other day (more on the problems with the app store below), and I had a list of probably 100 or 200 applications that fit my search criteria, and I scrolled, and scrolled, and scrolled, and never had any idea of any sort how far down the list I had gotten nor how far I had left to go—and that was extraordinarily frustrating. Oh, and if I wasn’t able to finish going through the list in one sitting, guess what, I have absolutely no possible way to run the search again and quickly get back to the point where I left off, because I have absolutely no idea how far along I had gotten. I have to say, this glaring omission makes using the Pre on anything but very short lists and websites, well, unusable. Scroll bars are everywhere—they’re there in every single program or application I have ever seen when the data presented goes off the available screen area, and there is a very, very good reason for their overwhelming prevalence—a reason that has nothing to do with the actual act of scrolling. I think this one is probably my biggest complaint with the Pre.
I will post the next few in a separate post, but these are my "top 3".  To be honest, most of these just really leave me scratching my head wondering “what were they thinking?” The Pre is a great product, but obvious little shortcomings really stand out on a good product (can anybody say “where’s the cut and paste, Apple?”, which, by the way, is a mistake that MS is about to bafflingly repeat with WM 7). I should note that it would be difficult for anybody to say that I suffer from "One True Way" syndrome when all of the things I suggest, if implemented, wouldn't detract from the experience of those users who don't want these features, but they would benefit those of us who do want them tremendously. My "way" doesn't require a compromise of any sort for anybody--it merely requires adding features, and the people who don't want/need those features can simply ignore them with no ill consequence of any sort.  Sorry for the long post, but I’m hopeful somebody at Palm is listening. And yes, I know that posting multiple problems in one post is not ideal, but these all have a common, intertwining theme, and I'm at least breaking them up somewhat.

I really like my Pre, but I understand what you mean about somewhat baffling omissions in features. I think the Palm has a winning platform already, they just need to focus on hunting down and destroying bugs for a few months. Honestly, most of the things the Pre is missing should be provided by third parties except they're hesitant to invest because the pre and pixi haven't sold like gangbusters compared to Android and the iPhone. But really, if the price keeps dropping on palm hardware and they keep launching on new platforms (due soon on att), I think we'll be looking at a different view in a few more months. I'd wager that Palm has sold a bit less than a million devices, add Att and you'll end up around 1.2-1.5. If they keep fixing issues and making current customers happy, then launch a nice phone the end of this year, they'll be in good shape. You don't need to sell 15 million units to have a viable platform, just enough of a mass to ensure people want to take a risk developing. Rebooted Hyper V Server and seeing some issues please help

I think it was shared from the host. Those screenshots are from the host not in a VM. I think the previous tech created a virtual drive perhaps even spanned it across multiple ones and had that as the share but I can't find the volume or something. I'm new to this network so I am unsure how it was setup.

I rebooted out Windows 2012 Hyper V server to install some ram (which didnt go well because the power supply apparently was overused so I took it back out and booted the server back up until a new power supply comes in) and there appear to be some issues/changes after the reboots.First let me say I am not 100% up to speed with current Hyper V capabilities and such I have been using VMware the past couple years but am in a environment with hyper v now.
Before rebooting I noticed in the Disk Management section that there were a TON of disks reflected there. Many of them if not half of them were blue colored and didnt have a drive letter accociated with them and had names like {234234n-2njnkj32-njn3krjn23k-kjsdjkfnsj} I believe these were like VHDX disks if I am not mistaken however I am not really sure why they showed like...

Some problems on the forums / Reward points

I just want to mention that I actually realize two problems with the forums / reward system:
1.) For <i>some</i> threads in a category overview, in the column "Last Post" in fact the initial post date is given. Nevertheless, the threads are sorted correctly, but it is disturbing. At this moment, this can be seen in Category EP (/community [original link is broken]) for the thread "Netweaver Developer Studio - SAP Enterprise connector error".
2.) Within my "Total points" overview, I realize that I got 6 points for my answer within this thread https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/collaboration.sdn?node=linkFnode6-1&contenttype=url&content=https:///thread/14351 [original link is broken], but looking there, all stars are empty.

If I use Quick Time 7.7.1 for Windows I have not problem, instead with Quick Tome 7.7.4 I can't see some plug-in the a web site

I use Windows XP SP 3 and when I open the web site www.volleybareggio.it, in the page La Società/La Storia there is a plug-in to reproduce and manage a sound that needs QuickTime but after the update to 7.7.4 I can't see it, while with the SW version 7.7.1 I hadn't non problem.

How to unsubscribe some topic in the forum

Hello,everybody.
I have subscribed the discussion topic of this forum,I am delight that the other users would response for the topic which I have posted to help me.
But I found that the forum have send many topics to my email box everyday,and most of these topics are not relative with the questions I want to discuss with the other users,I must spend time on deleting the Email items.Therefore,How can I unsubscribe the topic which is not relative with my questions in order to tell the manager not to send those topic item to my Email box.If anybody can tell me how to solve it.

Luckily I reinstalled the software and the problem just disappeared , and now for all those facing the same problem after reinstalling mountain lion don't update to 10.8.1 , cause only after that update earlier was when the problem started showing up , along with that don't reinstall lion using your recovery on your harddrive it takes 23 hours to install because it downloads the software first and then does all the installation so just download the app for mountain lion from the AppStore first and then make a bootable USB installation disk out of it , I'm sure you'll find a tutorial on google on how to make a recovery USB out of it , as for your data and stuff I moved all my stuff to an external hard drive and then performed a reinstall I recommend you do the same . The steps are simple after making the USB insert it and then reboot when the computer turns itself on press the alt/option key and then their will be a list of options there you will see your mt lion USB boot into it , select disk utility and then your Macintosh HD , WARNING IN THIS STEP YOU WILL ERASE YOUR HARD DRIVE COMPLETELY MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP ALL YOU DATA BEFORE PERFORMING THIS STEP I WON'T BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DATA LOSS DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK, so choose your drive , go to the erase tab choose Mac os extended journaled usually the first option from the drop down menu and name it Macintosh HD again click on erase and then after thats done close the utility , now select the option to install mt lions copy from the first menu and then chose your Macintosh HD that we erased eirlier and install, it takes about 20-40 mins depending on your Mac and then viola the problem will disappear , well at least it did for me .
