I'm seeing the books I deleted from my iBooks application on iMac while syncing my iPhone in iTunes. How do I delete the books permanently from my computer?

I have hundreds of ebooks in my iMac. I'm planning to clean the app by deleting all the books but even after deleting, I'm seeing the books when I'm syncing my iPhone in the books tab). How do I get rid of them?

It sounds like you have books in iBooks on multiple devices and want to delete them from your Mac and possibly all devices. These two articles should help, the first will walk you through deleting books from your Mac and the second will help ensure changes are synced across devices.

There are several ways you can manage your iBooks library between iOS devices:
If you want all of your books organized in the same way on all of your iOS devices, go to the iBooks panel in Settings, and set Sync Collections to ON.
If you prefer to manage your books and library organization separately between your iOS devices, go to the iBooks panel in Settings, and set Sync Collections to OFF.

I am using latest version of iOS (5.0.1) and iPhone 4.
My question is stated in the title. I wish to sync iTunes according to my current iPhone settings (i.e. backup my current settings from my iPhone to iTunes), not reinstall apps which I have already deleted.
But when I "sync" my iphone with iTunes, apps which I deleted since the previous backup suddenly appeared in my iPhone.

When you sync your phone check the Apps tab in your iTunes sync settings (not the Apps folder under Library on the left sidebar) and confirm that the apps you don't want on your phone are unchecked prior to syncing.

Forgive me for not fully understanding your question at first. I understand that you wish to actually delete the song from your iPhone, which is definitely possible, and I'd love to show you how.
Here is an excerpt from page 61 of the iPhone User Guide (for iOS 6.1 software)
So, in summary: Open the Music app, proceed to "Songs" view. Find the specific song, swipe either direction, and a delete button will appear.

Im syncing my iphone to itunes because i cant unlock the phone due to water damage so that i can take what is on it and put it on a new phone. how can i ensure that everything was taken from the phone and where can i find it in itunes?

my phone recently suffered water damage so that the screen does not reigster when i slide to unlock. I am sycing the data from the phone onto itunes so i can put it onto a new phone. How can i ensure that i took everything off of the old phone before i restore it and where can i find all of that stuff when i sync with the new phone?

iTunes will only store a back up of the iPhone and you find this by following the steps below:
Windows
Edit>Preferences>Devices
Mac
iTunes>Preferences>Devices

Most pages have layouts for pictures only or pictures with text boxes. Either select the same layout for that page but the one without the text box or put a space in the text box.
Putting a space in the text box will avoid getting the warning when ordering that there's an unfilled text box in the book. The box will not be visible in the final product. You can and should check the book before ordering by previewing it as described in this Apple document: iPhoto '11: Preview a book, card, or calendar before you order or print it

The only way you can do that is to import them into your library first, but you may have done that already.
The easiest way to tell is to select a photo from the photostream album in iPhoto and ctrl-click on it, if it gives you the option to import it isn't in your iPhoto library, if it offers you the option to show in library it has already been imorted.

There's a menu choice (I think under "Files") that lets you sync purchased items on a device back to itunes. Look for that.
iCloud does not store music. If you want to do that you'd have to subscribe to itunes Match, but to get music to the match servers, you need the music in the itunes library on your computer.

If you have any photo stream photos on your old phone that you want to keep you might want to save them to the camera roll, then import them to your computer (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083) before deleting the account. The reason for this is that photo stream photos are only kept in iCloud for 30 days. When you enable photo stream on your new phone you will only receive photo stream photos from the last 30 days as older photos are no longer in iCloud.

Iphone will sync with one computer at a time.
When you sync to another it will delete the current content.
Make sure you have copied everything from your old computer to your new one first.

Ah I see. That folder would only be there if you had perfomed the earlier steps in that section.

How do I delete these songs? I haven't hooked it up to my computer. iTunes matches has never been turned on and I did turn off the Show all Music option. Some songs have the option to slide from right to left to bring up the delete button but not the ones I want to delete! I want them gone please help! I really don't want/need carni music from my daughters 4th bday party on my phone!! If anyone has a solution that does not involve me plugging into my computer that'd be awesome....

It is working now. I no longer get the message about the item not being available in the US and I can access the store.
