I'm sending and receiving text messages in pairs (iMessage & Text)

Hello Apple Support Community,
I recently started sending and receiving text messages in pairs, one as an iMessage & and the other as regular text message (through Verizon).
This is happening automatically and apparently I'm not the only one with this problem.
Does anybody know the reasons to this problem and is there a solution to this?
Is Verizon just trying to charge my text messages so that I can't utilize apple's iMessage anymore?
Thanks,
-Daki

The same thing is happening to my fiancé. Whenever someone sends him an iMessage as a text message, he will first receive the text, and when he'll connect to wifi or 3g, he'll receive the iMessage as well.
He has an iPhone 4s (in case that has anything to do with it - I have the 5s and we both have the same iOS, but somehow this never happens to me).

  • Sending and receiving picture messages? is that supposed to work?

its not working but the landscape and copy and paste and voice memo and search and everything else seems to be working...but i though that we could send and receive picture messages now through text?

you can if your telco allows you too. call them and make sure it is enabled on your service.

  • Can i send and receive mms messages in my ipad ?

how i can send and receive mms messages in my ipad?

You should be able to do this through the iMessage app if the other person is connected through an apple device If not however there are plenty of apps on the app store that you would be able to use to send pics as long as the other user has a smart phone (does not have to be apple)... for example WhatsApp, Kik, Skype etc Hope that this helps!

    Hey,
All of our CAN drivers have been written for National Instruments' CAN hardware (referenced here : http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/E2C6ED025C798C5586256F4E00520448 ). Thus, you will have to code all your communication manually, unless Systec provides a LabVIEW driver. There might be various dll files that Systec provides for communication, which you will be able to access through LabVIEW. Take a look at the Call Library Function Node, which can be found from the Functions Palette under Connectivity -> Libraries & Executables. Here you can call a dll file, and also the individual functions within that dll.
I would suggest posting your question either to the LabVIEW forum, as previously mentioned, or to the CAN forum found here : http://forums.ni.com/ni/board?board.id=30

  • Problem I-message? I can't send and receive the messages.

from last Sunday I have a problem with I-message. It's impossible to send and receive the messages. what's the problem?

I assume you have tried all of the troubleshooting here?
    iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
It would also help to head to Settings -> General -> Date & Time and make sure it is set to Automatic.  You could also try using Google's DNS servers as doing so has resolved the issue for a number of users.  Head to Settings -> Wi-Fi and tap the > next to the network you are connected to.  Scroll down to the DNS fields and enter in8.8.8.8and 8.8.4.4.

  • Sending and receiving ebXML messages

    Dear all,
I have to admit, I'm a bit confused over the question how ebXML and Java work together. As far as I've managed to understand so far, there are at least several ways to send and receive ebXML messages in java (particularly, I'm interested in asyncronious messaging). The ways include:
SAAJ - SOAP is the basis for ebXML. So, possibly, I can create ebXML messages manually using this library. But I'd rather not, ebMS must have been implemented already and maybe not even once, so no point to do it again. How do you think?
JAXM - SUN's library, uses SAAJ to faciliate more "upper-level" messaging. Sounds great, just what I need, but ... No documentation at all! What is the point in sharing the library without supplying usage docs? I've come across some threads here where people are guessing how to do things with JAXM, what does this field mean, what is that function etc. Moreover, there were claimes that JAXM is just a wrong, or even dead, solution for ebXML. Sounds off-putting. Can anyone comment on this?
Hermes - Good guys from HongKong Uni, open source ebMS implementation. Very good. But no documentation how to setup and use it in free edition. Useless. The docs are provided only if you buy support. No chance to use for academic purpose. (unless you have time to spend xxx hours digging through the sources finding out how did they do this and that...)
And there are some others, I'm not quite sure about:
    M-Project http://java.sun.com/developer/earlyAccess/mproject/
Supposed to be there, but was moved somewhere.
Some implementation from SUN, lost the link for a while, I'll get it soon.
Could anyone suggest the way to use ebXML messaging, much preferrably using pure java api? I hope to think that JAXM can do much of my needs, but did anyone manage to use it? Or shall I keep searching for anything else?
Oldbies, share your experience to a newbie, please :) Any advice would be much appreciated, as I'm a bit confused now ...
    Thank you.

Could anyone recommend where else I could post this question to?
    Thanks.

  • I am getting a "not delivered" when I try to send a photo from my Ipad or iPhone via iMessage. I can receive photos in iMessage and I can send and receive photos other than with iMessage. I have tried restoring factory settings etc but no luck.

I am getting a "not delivered" when I try to send a photo from my Ipad or iPhone via iMessage. I can receive photos in iMessage and I can send and receive photos other than with iMessage. I have tried restoring factory settings etc but no luck. Is anyone else having this problem please?

I've been having this problem too, but here's the catch: originally it was only with my dad, and only sometimes.  Now it's dad and husband, every time!  Pix go through, via imessage, to everyone else, and they go through to dad/husband if I "send as text" after it fails.
And the other annoying thing- the blue bar will run all the way, and it will say "delivered".  So I close out of imessage. When I reopen it again, the "delivered" has changed to "not delivered" with the red exclamation point.  I just googled "imessage not sending photos" and founds TONS of people with the same problem, but no solutions.  (I have rebooted phone, reset network settings, with no luck.  I even had to backup/delete/restore my whole phone the other day for a different reason, and hoped that would fix it, but now it won't send to my dad OR my husband (who is on not just the same carrier, but the same family plan as me)

  • I bought an unlocked iphone 5 with 32mb especially so I could use any wireless carrier that I wanted to.  Why does apple hold me prisoner to use only the carriers that apple wants?????  The only thing I can't do is send and receive picture messaging.

I specifically bought and paid for an unlocked iphone 5 from APPLE so that I could use any wireless carrier I wanted to.  I have been paying ATT WAYYY too much money the last 20 years.  But for some reason APPLE wants to keep me from using any wireless carrier - and I can only use the carriers that APPLE will let me.  WHY????  I paid my money!!  I expected a lot more than I got.  The only thing I can't do is send or received picture messages, but it makes me so Mad that I can';t do that!!!

If you bought an unlocked iPhone then it will work with any carrier but will work only under the restrictions or requirements the carrier sets for its customers.  Apple has nothing to do with that.  You are describing a problem of restricted access created by the carrer.  If you cannot carry out the functions you want, talk to the carrier and see what limits they are placing on you.  An unlocked iPhone is fully capable of all functions the carrer allows.

  • Sending and receiving picture messages

I was given a torch as a gift recently. I like the phone but can't send or receive picture messages. The service allows it, as I had no problems on my motorola doing it. Is there somehere I can go to update the software to get the option? I have looked through everything here, the option is just not there at all like the manual says it should be.

You must have the BIS BlackBerry Data Plan in order to use "data", such your picture MMS messages and to get the RIM push email functions, as well as additional BlackBerry data services such as the internet browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger, and much more.
So, as recommended, call your carrier and inquire about having the BlackBerry Data Plan added to your account.
    Good luck.

  • My iPhone has suddenly stopped allowing me to send and receive Hotmail messages. Any help would be brilliant!

As of yesterday, my iPhone 5 stopped allowing me to send and receive messages from my Hotmail accounts. Is this a problem on Apple's end, or Hotmail's? I've seen one post that claims Hotmail is having difficulties with mobile devices at the moment, but could do with some clarification (if there actually is any out there).
    Thanks in advance!

It is a problem on Hotmail's end and they are working on a fix. Here is a link to keep up-to-date with their progress if anyone else is in my position: https://status.live.com/detail/hotmail

  • X3-02 Sending and receiving mms messages

I got this phone for xmas and having problems sending and receiving photos, please could someone explain what I need to set.
    Thank you

Already solved the problem. On default, the phone will create a 3g/mms settings and will name it after the network operator. So if you'll open a browser or mail, it will ask you what connection you will use (WLAN/3G or GPRS).
It wont connect me to the internet when ill use that settings then ill choose the 3g/gprs.
Then if ill use my network operator's settings under settings>configuration, it wont let me use WLAN. It will automatically choose the 3g/gprs connection. (that will surely cost me)
can anyone tell me how to combine this settings?
The default got its x-midlet-[insert apps name here] and lots of other stuffs, while my network operator only got its web, multimedia and access point.

  • How can I send and receive a message from  a queue using standalone program

    Hi,
I want to write a standalone Java program which has to post a message to a queue and receive a message from a queue thats specified as a replyto queue.I want to have my application to be completely standalone without the need of a Application server. What all the Jars do I need to include in the application. My aim is to have the application standalone and portable so that the application runs on any machine that has a JRE.
    Thanks in advance,
    Prathima

    Hi,
You can get quite simple standalone MQ Java programs from this site http://www.capitalware.biz/mq_code_java.html.
Also regarding the jars required for your application depends on the API being used. If you use MQI API few jars are required and if you decide to use JMS API you'll require few other jars. But you got to either install Websphere MQ Java Client, which will copy the jars to the respective location, or you can choose to copy the jars from some other machine manually.
Eventually, all the jars related to MQI and JMS API will reside under /usr/mqm/java/lib/ or /var/mqm/java/lib/ UNIX Environment. And in case of WINTEL, you should find the jars under C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Java\lib.
    Trust it clarifies...

    I found solution.

  • Just got the LG G2 and it will not allow me to upload pictures to FB. I can send and receive picture messages via texting but that is it. I've tried a hard reset twice, I've uninstalled FB and reinstalled it, and I've tried uploading it 3 different ways--

I've tried a hard reset twice, I've uninstalled FB and reinstalled it, and I've tried uploading it 3 different ways--through my photo editor app, through the gallery, and through the FB app. Nothing works. Any suggestions? My Wi-Fi connection is great....

Really sounds like you are doing it right, but the FB app is notorious for being buggy after each update, which is fairly frequent. Try to upload via the FB webpage in Chrome on the phone. You can try the mobile or desktop verion of the page by tapping menu settings in the browser. Its a little different but it'll let you know if its the app or the phone.

  • Send and Receive SMS messages from US to South Kor...

I want to be able to receive and send SMS messages from my skype to my friend's cell phone in Korea
When I send it they receive it, but they can't respond it back to me because it is an international text.
Is there anyway that I can buy a Korean online number when I'm living in US?
and with that number will I be able to talk and send/receive messages with my friend?

@ sberman -Hi-I have my settings as you described and I do have a text msg. plan with At&T. I'm still puzzled, however; I had the same plan with he former phone-the ancient 3Gs and with it, I was able to send/receive text, photos, etc. to non-Iphone users via WiFi as long as I was home and within distance of the connection. I did not have to have my cell data "on" in order to send/receive anything. Everything transmitted through WiFi-and did not impact my  charges or cell data limits.. I know I must use the cell data ON when I'm away, but don't understand why/how I can't do the same as before I upgraded to the 5c. Admittedly, I am certainly NOT in the stratospheric league as so many phone experts here-I do make the attempt to understand, though..
I read on one of the numerous help/answer sites that apparently someone else had registered the same complaint with Apple and now has a pending lawsuit-and hoping to get class-action status on the issue. I'm fairly sure this is the same-although I cannot be 100% certain given my lack of expertise.
I certainly appreciate your rapid response-as a newbie to these communities, I didn't expect any answers to my questions so quickly. Thanks for taking the time to post-have a great weekend.
