I'm sick of Drivers

For the last three weeks I have tried to get my 5410i phone connected my PC with XP sp 2.after three of times of trying I got it too work twice. After down loading my pictures from the phone, each time I want to use the Nokia PC Suite 6.8.22.0 I have to down load the Suite again. I check suite that I open up look in the about Nokia Suite 6.82.22.0 it tells me that the DRIVERS are not installed. Help before I commit HARY-KARY.

Anyway, don't care about that Nokia PC Suite's system info (it says same to me but USB works ok with my phone)...

  • Anybody found Vista x64 drivers for nVidia GeForce 8600M GT (Macbook Pro)?

These guys at Apple are launching 64-bit Leopard and I still cannot find 64-bit graphics drivers for my laptop under Vista. It makes me sick. Their Boot Camp 1.4 vesion contains only 32-bit drivers.
It's the laptop manufacturer (Apple company) who are responsible for providing me with drivers, not the graphics card manufacturer (nVidia).
I have been waiting for 5 months already and will wait for another 1-2 months and if the drivers don't appear I'm going to sell the laptop because I simply cannot watch DVDs, I cannot play games without properly installed grahics card.
If you have the drivers, please let me know.
    Best regards.

first of all, I think apple will never really "support" windows 64bit...
    anyway
    try -> http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/
my vista 32bit works with the drivers from this page.
but u need to read the "Quickstart Guide" before you try installing the drivers
    cheers

  • Broadcom BCM4331 drivers - b43 can't scan, wl won't install

I have a Macbook Pro 9,2 with a Broadcom BCM4331 wireless card. I've had issues with the wireless card ever since switching to Arch a bit over a year ago, and I'm trying to fix them once-and-for-all, but I'm not having much luck. Right now, if I use the b43 driver, sudo iw dev wlp3s0 scan outputs nothing and I can't connect to any networks, and when I try to install broadcom-wl, yaourt complains that the package would conflict with what seems to be pieces of a broadcom-wl installation already on my system.
To give a brief history of this issue, I installed the b43 drivers initially when I started using Arch over a year ago, because my card was listed as compatible with them. Sometimes I wouldn't be able to connect to any networks and iw scan gave blank output. It would remain like this for a few days and then suddenly start working again. It got worse and worse until eventually I could almost never use the card.
I posted about it here and someone suggested using broadcom-wl instead, which I tried. It worked at first but before long it began to cause my speakers to emit a loud "click" sound for each packet the card sent out. It was unaffected by muting my system sound and made listening to music, watching videos, etc. more or less impossible.
I quickly got sick of this and switched back to b43, and that's more or less where I've been for the past few months. At first, it was working on and off, but for the past few weeks it hasn't worked at all.
After bringing up the interface, the output from sudo iw dev wlp3s0 scan is blank. Trying to connect via wpa_supplicant has similar issues; it also outputs nothing in its scan results, and trying to connect to my home wi-fi network causes it to scan for networks continuously without finding anything.
Here's some output from dmesg. This is after having no modules for the card loaded, then loading b43 with sudo modprobe b43, then trying to use the card:

Your current b43 issue may be an instance of this bug. It looks like the fix for that one made it into 3.15.5, so I'd say first see if updating improves the situation.
As for the conflicting file errors from pacman, you can use "pacman -Qo <filename>" to see if another package owns the files. Assuming not, you can probably safely delete them. The rest of the files you found belong to other packages and won't affect broadcom-wl; if they were going to be problematic, pacman would have complained about them along with the other two.

  • Laserjet 4200 drivers for Windows 7 64bit

ok...ive upgraded to Windows 7 64bit to test on our network and come to find HP is lacking on the drivers for my laserjet!!!
I need a solution for this.
    thank you

In Windows 7 Prof 64 bit I got my HP 4200DTN to work kind of. In Windows install a network printer, have it look for the driver in Windows 7 prof 64 bit. Now with that said it will make it print, duplex  BUT if you have an envelope feeder like I do you are SOL, THANKS TO HP. Their solutions is to buy one of their cheap Chinese printers. I will not do that because the HP 4200DTN will print and does a good job in my network. Before I buy one of their cheap Chinese piece of crap I will get rid of Windows. Still trying to find a work around. The HP printer driver web page has a Universal Printer Driver for the HP 4200 but a lot of features are not supported. Tray 1 envelope feeder ( no support ) you can take the feeder off and feed tray 1 by hand to print envelopes HANDY!!! Just like starting your car with a crank!!! Would not hurt HP to provide drivers for the HP4200DTN, with the envelope feeder. They are so busy trying to SELL, SELL, SELL the new Chinese cheap crap. HP had a problem with their DeskJets in the 90's, paper feed rollers and gears broke. They talked me into a HP 8600Pro Premium, going to send it back. I am going to try my hand at fixing my HP OfficeJet 7310 All-In-One that quit working. It has been a good printer since purchase 6 years ago.  I puchased a parts machine today. With any kind of luck I will have the needed parts to make my HP 7310 live. Don't need their cheap Chinese Junk. They don't want to have the service they used to provide. Spend all day on the phone and get transfered all over the world and back again, no help. Sick of it!

  • Unable to install Windows 7 because of missing drivers using Boot Camp

I tried this question in the lap-top section, but nobody could help.
I have an MB Pro with 13" Retina, late 2013, 250 GB SS-disk, 8 GB RAM.
I need a partition with Windows 7 Professional, and I have an ISO with Norwegian Windows 7, service pack 1 (64 bit).
I run the BootCamp assistant to partition my HDD and to generate the USB-disk with Windows and the necessary drivers.
When i try to install Windows the installer asks for a driver for the DVD-drive. I get a message that it cannot find a driver file and tells me to provide one. There is no DVD so that is correct. There is no way I can skip this part, and I must stop the intallation. I have not been able to trace down any dummy-drivers.
I have also tried to do this procedure with a USB-Superdrive attatched, but that did not help.
My problem is that I am not able to complete the Windows 7 installation. I must break it as it wil not continue until I provide the correct DVD-drivers.

    Hello everyone,
As the struggle was real, I thought I would also participate in this thread and share my testimonial with you.
For more than a week, I had been attempting to set up Windows 7 x64 on my mid-2014 MacBook Air 13", but to no avail. I was so sick of witnessing the infamous black screen, "no bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key", or the "select your language" window in the Windows 7 PE with no keyboard nor mouse alive, that I had almost given up on it all.
But that was before I came across the present thread. I diligently applied your procedure and IT WORKED LIKE MAGIC
    My specs:
    - Mid-2014 MacBook Air 13" with pre-installed Mac OS 10.9 (Mavericks)
    - Windows 7 x64 Home Premium ISO file
    - The most basic USB 2.0 flashdrive one can get
    - (Note: I did not have rEFIt installed)
You must be some kind of wizard. I signed up just to upvote this, no kidding!
I sincerely wish this post gets the visibility it deserves.
    Thank you so much!
    Cheers,
    tm

  • 'No device drivers found' error Windows 8.1 - Windows 7 downgrade installation

    Hello,
There are numerous threads with the same issue online, but none of the solutions have worked for me, so I'm posting my own. I did contact Microsoft and Lenovo, but Lenovo is asking for money that I can't afford for tech support, so I'm hoping someone here
    can help me out.
    Here's the situation:
I have a Lenovo Y510P that came with Windows 8.1. Half a year later, I'm sick of 8.1 and want to downgrade to Windows 7 (I know that simulation softwares like ClassicShell and such exist, but I would really rather just use Windows 7).
I downloaded a legitimate copy of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and burned it onto a DVD disk.
I also downloaded all of the Windows 7 device drivers from this Lenovo site: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ideapad-y-series-laptops/ideapad-y510p-notebook?TabName=Downloads
^I had to specify the model number and OS, so I'm hoping I downloaded the correct drivers (all of the drivers are .exe format, is that what it's supposed to look like?)
I put all of the drivers onto a flash drive.
So, I am now equipped with a DVD with Windows 7 on it as well as a flash drive with all of the drivers on it.
I boot from the disk with the DVD and flash drive attached. Windows 7 installation begins and here I get the error, 'no device drivers found.' When I click 'browse', I see that the flash drive is recognized, but the files on it aren't.
What do you guys think the issue is??
    Best,

How do you installed Windows 7 on that Machine? Is the machine UEFI based?
We may follow the below article to install Windows 7 64 bit on UEFI based computer:
Installing Windows 7 on UEFI based computer
Besides, when did you received the error message“' no device drivers found.“ ?
For the device drivers, we'd better make a contact with the manufacturer to check if we have the proper drivers available.

  • Installing Bootcamp Drivers on Macbook Air?

When I installed Bootcamp this morning after the seventieth problem had been solved, I finally hit ANOTHER roadblock. Since the MacBook Air doesn't have a DVD drive, I need to use my Superdrive to insert discs and stuff. Now, all my drivers that I need to run windows are on a disc, which I cannot run on my Air without the superdrive. What's the problem? It turns out Windows doesn't understand what the superdrive is, because it needs the driver FOR the superdrive, which, ironically, is on the disc which I cannot play without the superdrive.
I can't get the drivers online, because you need a driver to access the wifi. I tried moving them over from another computer, but I still need wifi to install them properly. Is there any way that I can work around this problem? I'm so sick and tired of problems cropping up with this.

you have the option to put drivers on flash memory
you may use USB-DVD or other
Blame it on the FAQ leaving out steps? not mentioning trouble if you try to burn ISO to DVD with Disk Utility...
... but you really should not have that must trouble if you print out hopefully the pdf guide from Boot Camp Assistant.
Yes, it could let you download the drivers from within Windows (use Software Update from Apple?)

  • HP Photosmart C410a drivers cannot be found by windows/HP solution center.

    Hi,
HP Photosmart Premium Fax e-All-in-One Printer - C410a
    Product Number: CQ521A
I updated my computers to Windows 7 64 bit and now my c410a is basically useless to both computers that have it installed.  I want to start this with my girlfriend's old 32 bit Windows XP laptop has had zero issues through this entire time. So the printer is in perfect working condition.
From looking at the support website, I noticed that there was an update that was supposed to fix this exact problem. I installed it on both computers and it did not fix the issue. After I install the drivers, they stay on the computer and work perfectly until I shut down the computer. When I turn it back on and try to use the printer, the printer does not appear in the printer list and when I click on the solution center it says:
"HP Solution Center cannot run because your device installation is not complete. Please plug in the USB cable or re-run the setup program from the installation CD for a network installation. If this does not complete the installation, or you do not have the CD, access the HP help files by clicking the Start menu."
So I downloaded the new full software pack (including drivers) from the HP website. When I ran it, it said all the drivers were installed and there should've have been issues so it didn't do anything.
I tried using all the diagnostic tools recommended by HP and they say nothing is wrong and everything should be working fine.
Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?
I tried contact HP but my printer is out of warranty. They won't support an issue that they already recognized as their problem and put out a patch for free.
Link to HP Patch  ((You might need to right click on the link))

    Hi,
Believe me I would not have wasted anyone's time on the forum unless I have tried that solution. I have tried the full feature and just the driver downloads many times, both do the same thing. Actually, whenever I want to use the printer I have to completely uninstall then reinstall everything, including the patch that is supposed to fix this, and then it will work perfectly until I turn off the computer. Then when turned back on, if I want to use the printer, I need to reinstall everything again.
Is there a better way to uninstall everything other than clicking on the uninstall button when opening the full feature driver?
I apologize for posting in several places. This topic fits into several categories and I just want to get a solution. I have been trying to solve this for myself for a while and I'm getting sick of it not working. Especially when the support website has a fix for this exact problem, but it’s not working.

  • Installing 32-bit drivers on 64-bit server

This is really frustrating me at this point.
If anyone can please stick it through with me till I can solve this..
So I already installed the 64-bit driver using Windows native driver finder for our printer HP Color LaserJet CP2020 Series PCL6. Now I need to install the 32-bit driver on the server as well, because most of our clients are running 32-bit XP.
I downloaded the 32-bit driver from the vendor website since our windows 2008 r2 server does not have it natively. I put the .exe on the C: drive and ran the .exe. It created a folder with all the driver components on the C: Drive. Here are the steps I took
to try and install the 32-bit driver:
I right clicked the printer --> Properties --> Sharing tab --> additional drivers. I checked the x86 box (by the way x64 box is checked and uncheckable). Then, when it asks to locate the driver files, I pointed it to this new folder on the C: drive
with my 32-bit driver components, the autorun.inf. IT SAYS "the specified location does not contain the driver for the requested process archtiecture", I am so sick of this error message.
This makes no sense. What am I doing wrong?
P.S. Why in God's name is the 64-bit driver called "HP Color LaserJet CP2020 Series PCL6", whereas the 32-bit driver is called "HP Color LaserJet CP2020 Series PCL 6"?? What's with the space between the PCL and 6? Is this causing me the problem?

Yes ! The Name should be exactly the same including spaces "PCL 6" is not equal "PCL6". You have to contact your vendor.

  • No Standalone Creative Labs Audigy 2 ZS Drivers Availble for Downl

I bought a new motherboard today and planned on updating my system with the new hardare. I cannot find my Audigy 2 ZS drivers CD and it does not look like there is a standalone driver for this card available on the Creative Labs website.
I have e-mailed tech support and awaiting a response. I have a feeling I will be forced to pay for a new drivers CD in order to get this card to work.
Thet fact that Creative Labs has this lack of support is appalling to me. Nvidia, MSI, Intel and every other component manufacturer in my system has drivers readily available for download on their website. It looks like Creative is trying to profit from the consumer and this makes me sick, very sick.
I am about to throw this card out the window and buy a Turtle Beach.
Creative can also expect a lot of bad press regarding this issue from me.

    Ioman,
What's the model number off of the card? Also, could you get the inkstamp number from the underside of the card? This will help identify exactly which model of the card this is. Was this a retail card, or was this originally an OEM?
The reason I am asking this is that if the driver required a previous version of the drivers installed it would have given you an error stating that it couldn't find the required drivers. If it said that it couldn't find the card then it may be different problem altogether. I know for a fact (as I have installed this driver on a bare system before) that the EAX 4.0 Update will install without any other drivers installed (in fact one of the systems at my house is setup like this).

Edit: SB's advice is pretty good also... except I would suggest that instead of doing a manual install via device manager, browse the extracted folder to Audio/Drivers and run the program called CTzapxx.exe (which is the application for manual driver installation). Make sure to disable any Antivirus or Antispyware software prior to running this, as they can interfere in the installation of drivers.Message Edited by Jeremy-CL on 07-4-2005 0:02 AM

  • ATi Binary drivers issue [SOLVED]

Hi guys. Giving Arch a try since I am getting sick of gentoo and its enormous compile times.
I recently installed base arch (in less than 30min!!) and installed fglrx drivers.
Now the problem is when I go into Gnome there is a white horizontal line underneath my mouse cursor.
    Any ideas?

I had to manually edit my xorg.conf after running hwd -x to set my keyboard up correctly.
Oh, is that because your in Sweden? Did it detect the wrong keyboard layout??
And yes will definitely post here if it goes well/bad. Thanks for the help bro.

  • Interfacing Sick Tim5xx with Myrio USB

Hi. I'm trying to interface a Sick Tim3Xx and tim5xx via USB to the myrio and I'm having no luck getting it identified as a ttyUSB* or Ttyacm*
    I see usbdev1.2 in /dev/
And in Mac I see it as a Usb0 raw and it it is "not present"
Is there something I have to do to show it as a TTYUSB0 or can I possibly work with usbdev1.2?
I'm running 2014 firmware and labveiw

Are you sure your device is a USB Serial device? TTYUSB* is usually reserved for serial devices, and it may explain why your device is not showing as expected.
Additionally, have you installed software on your myRIO? You may be missing necessary drivers for serial communication.
