I'm SICK of Safari crashing - ANYONE ELSE?
What is the deal? I can't go for 5 minutes in safari without it crashing me back to home screen. It seems to really be the case with sites that have a lot of stuff on them or if I start to click around on the site faster than the iphone can handle. This is ridiculous and must be fixed. I can't check weather, get to my stocks or anything through the web without it crashing. COME ON PLEASE! Any help anyone?
The Apps do crash I have owned 3 iPhones (8GB + 16GB 1st gen + 3G 16GB)and in my expierience they all crashed from safari to Aurora Feint and movies........HOWEVER it has been getting better, I have restored several times before and have seen improvements BUT these are issue that get worked out over time + this is cutting edge stuff ......When everybody starts their competeing campaign with "iPhone Killer" you know they all want to imitate the best. Hang in there.
That being said it would crash on me maybe 1 a day ( I surf heavily on it ). It should not be constantly crashing ....Also after a crash I tend to just restart it to clean out the cobwebs.

thanks!EVERYONE is experiencing these problems. The problem is with local memory of apps being stored on the flash memory of the iPhone (but suspended). When memory from several apps is being stored, the iPhone cannot handle with it and crashes an app. Rebooting will remove the local memory being stored. Rebooting isn't just turning on and off as many people are trying to do. To reboot, press and hold down the Home Button, then press and hold the Power button. Keep holding both until you get the Apple logo screen, then release. Also, when exitting an app, don't just press the home screen button, hold down the home button for about 6 seconds. You will get a blank screen for a split second then you will get the home screen. Doing this will fully end an app, also closing any local memory being stored by that app. Even though apps do not run in the backround (except for the iPod), memory is still stored, just suspended. Again too much memory will crash apps.

WISM Controllers crashing - anyone else having this problem
Is anyone else having problems with WISM based controllers unexpected crashing? I have an open tac case and I did get a replacement module for one switch, but I am not confident that the problem will go away. The system is not logging anything to the crash files, and it took me a while to convince tech support to replace the hardware. They kept saying it was some undefined software bug. I am running version 4.2.112 code. I have that same code running on several standalone controllers and it's been very stable. I was wondering what everyone else's experience has been with this hardware.
My problem is that the controllers just randomly reboot themselves. They have always come back up and the access points re-associate. It's happened in the middle of the night with no clients as well as the middle of the business day. Sometimes it's just one of the controllers on the wism, and other times both controllers have gone down together.

Aperture crashing - anyone else ??
I have the latest version of Aperture om my MacBook Pro (dual core 2, 3 gig RAM), and it keeps crashing.
I can be looking at previews, working on full screen images, waiting for the previews to finish 'developing', all of the above, and more. In fact, at the weekend, it even crashed 10 times in as many minutes.
Any suggestions on how to restore sanity !?!?!?
Thanks in advance.First, restart the system. Second, use Disk Utility to repair permissions.
If you keep having problems after that, the problem goes a little deeper. Some options: Rebuild the Aperture library (start up with the special key-combination which, sorry, I've forgotten at the moment, but it's easy to find). Reinstall Aperture. Delete Apertur'es plist file and let it rebuild it. Clean reinstall OSX. That's pretty much in increasing order of direness and PITA. -
Safari crash with Earthlink WebMail
Today webmail at Earthlink.net started to crash - and quit -on all of my Macs - using OS 10.5.2 and Safari 3.0.4.
webmail works OK with FireFox. When I try to reply to a message, Safari quits.

IPhone 6 Plus Safari Crashing - HELP!
safari crashes when orientation change on my 128GB iphone 6 plus , especially when watching YouTube video. I tried using chRome browser and it works fine. It seems like it only happens when I use safari. I tried it on my mom's iphone 6 plus 16GB and safari doesn't crash. anyone else having this problem?
Are both devices running the latest iOS ? Your profile still says 8.0.2.
If yes, did you try to set up your phone as new device, without using the latest backup, in case the backup data is damaged?

IBook user - getting SICK of Safari
Ok - I loyaly use Safari, and have since I became a mac user about 10 months ago. However, the past two weeks, I am getting SICK of safari crashing every day. Literally, at least once a day it just crashes while I am surfing through sites...most usually espn.com. Why is this happening? Is it a Safari update that apple has to release? Is it something that I should do to my iBook (I've erase the CACHE very often)?!? Help, I cant browse!
Definitely switch to firefox. (and make sure and go into the safari preferences and change your default browser to firefox)
Once you have it installed, use these settings to increase page-loading speed within firefox:
In firefox, type "about:config" in the address bar to bring up the configuration editor.
Adjust these values accordingly. For boolean types just doubling clicking will switch them. For integers, you will be prompted to enter a value. Note that these are meant for broadband users.

Finally, you need to add in a variable to the list. In order to do so, right click and select "new --> integer". A menu will popup asking for you to enter the name of this integer. Enter "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This tells the fox not to wait on displaying the data that it has received from the server.
Now, just close out that window and enjoy your new-found speed! -

Is anyone else having problems with safari crashing?
Is anyone else having problems with the iphone 3GS freezing, and in particular, Safari and anything else that relies on the internet crashing since the 4.3.2 update? Everytime I open safari it crashes within 10 seconds. I've tried restoring the phone but that hasn't worked. Any other suggestions?
The exact same thing happened to me. On the recommendation of various news articles, I manually upgraded the Flash Player plug-in from 10.0.23.1 to 10.0.32.18. Initially, I had no problems, but when I started viewing ESPN Flash-based videos, the entire browser would hang (this was true of Safari, Firefox, and Opera - all of which I tried and had the most updated version of). I then force quit and rebooted. After I rebooted, the problems disappeared for a while, but after some more browsing, I encountered the same problem with any page containing flash. I turned off the Flash plug-in in Firefox and I've had no problems so far. So I know for sure that it's a Flash problem.
I tried to uninstall Flash and downgrade, but I couldn't find any previous versions of the Flash player plug-in. I did find some experimental builds, but they still crashed all three browsers.
Flash is pretty miserable. If I didn't have to use it to watch ESPN videos, I would have no purpose in using Flash at all. -

Safari crashes and shuts down every time I visit Grays Online. Site usually flicks off in under a minute. Anyone else with this problem?
The website may need more memory than you have available if you are running iOS 5.1.1 on the original iPad. Try some basic troubleshooting steps. Maybe quitting all apps might be the best thing to try.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Firefox is crashing every time I have my MSN email account up. (Since I use it for business, that's many times per day.) It seems to coincide with hotmail's latest update where the email is checked and downloaded to the inbox automatically. Then when it asks me if I want to send the crash report to Firefox, I select yes and it tells me it had trouble sending the report. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a setting I can change? I can't seem to keep my email account up for more than 10 minutes.
p.s if you're reading this Microsoft, it's still not bad enough to make me to go back to Internet Explorer!Hi,
