Getting frustrated. I'm trying to add a new email account and now my screen is stuck on Discovering settings and it won't go any further and i can't read any previous emails that was set up on another account

2. What type of account are you trying to add? Gmail? Outloook.com? Corporate? Other Personal email?
3. CardDav is a contact or address book format used by some email service providers such as Gmail. It usually asks for the password for your email account. Setting it up as CardDav will usually only pull in contacts and not email.

You should not need to enter anything. the iCloud service is one of the preconfigured options.
Just choose the iCloud type from the Add new Mail screen, and enter your details in the next screen.
If you don't have the iCloud option, but instead have the mobileMe option then you will need to update your iOS.

Cannot add a new email account, and hence i have no way of creating an iCloud account (very frustrating). I had the same problem with iOS 4.3 but i had no email account to create as i set both up when i bought the iPhone 4. After adding a company email and a gmail account (both wok perfectly) i noticed that the option to create more email accounts had been ghosted (unclickable). This didn't worry me at the time. However, iCloud needs me to create one in here so i can access the cloud which i desperately want the ability to do. I have same problem in itunes on Mac OSX. Surely restoring isn't the solution as i restored my iphone when changing from iOS 4.3 -> 5. Please help?

General,
Restrictions, type in your Restriction Password,
Accounts, tick Allow Changes.
Press the back key a few times till you're back in Settings, you should see iCloud is now highlight able, now go to Mail Contacts and Calenders and add your email account as per norm.

There isn't a way - at least not that I have found. I'm having an issue with this as well - seems like a shoddy sort of business practice. I refuse to enter my credit card number to download a FREE app. I'm encouraging the user community that has a problem with this to please post your opinion as well. I am trying to add a new credit card and it keeps telling me that I have to enter a valid security code...I have tried 2 different cards and it is doing the same thing. How do I get past this?

I guess it has been a year since I last purchased something on I-tunes and my account is saying that they couldn't authorize my card for some of my purchases. How do I stop Thunderbird from creating additional folders when I add a new mail account?

I've been using Thunderbird for about 8 years now, migrating the configuration from version to version. Currently I have two accounts it picks up email from. I want to add a third account but everytime I do this, it creates a bunch of new folders with the name of the account in my folder tree. This is undesirable, mainly because it looks terrible and it's also dodging the default filtering I have set up globally for received messages.
How do I create a new mail account without it making new folders and just using the local folders like the other accounts already do?
I do not use Thunderbird's internal spam filtering, I use popfile and use message filters to sort the emails by headers Popfile adds to my messages. I do not understand why it won't let me make a new account like the other accounts without making a special folder for the new account. Please help?

Item 1. Global inbox only works with POP mail accounts.
Tools menu > account settings >server Settings > advanced and select use global inbox to turn it on. Note the folder will disappear, so move the mail you want from them before you change the settings.

I have tried to add a NEW GMAIL Account into Thunderbird and after i use the automatic configuration finder and Password confirmation, it does not display

I tried to set up a NEW Gmail account in Thunderbird But it will not display eventhough it confirms that the configuration is correct and that the password is Valid. Please NOTE that i previously was able to set up the email account correctly in Thunderbird but was encountering some errors and i therefore deleted it using the Account Actions menu.
I have repeated this action probably probably 5 or 6 times and I still cannot see the new email account in Thunderbird. I can only see my other Gmail Account

Sounds like the Google Less Secure Application situation. Go to gmail and read what they have to say about this.
FYI: Deleting and reinstalling accounts or Thunderbird software is not the best way to solve problems. It usually never solves a thing and can cause more issues as you are seeing. It is best to troubleshoot what you have and fix those issues.

I'm not able to add a new mail account to outlook 2011 in my new MacBook Pro 15 retina

They need to go into their settings>messages and make sure iMessage is on. Also they should click on the send & receive button to make sure their phone number is selected.

I hate to add a third entry but this one will end the speculation about this problem.
Apple mail is not designed to create a new mail account! WIndows mail, all forms, is designed to create new mail accounts. If you are new to mac, and you try to create a new mail account and the account you try to create already exists because it belongs to some else, the a return code for an error is returned from the mail provider. Apple mail unfortunately trys to handle
the error but does not bother range checking the return code for validity. This results in what I said above and the mail crashes. Nothing that happens should ever cause a crash! There are a number of software errors in Apple mail that need attention. To fix this problem, just go to your email provider and create the account. Then add it in apple mail.
This will work without error.

Cannot add new mail Account or iCal account

When I try to add a new Mail account (press " + " on the Mail -> Preferences -> Account tab) it temporarily darkens but nothing happens. Pressing "+" in iCal -> Preferences -> Accounts does not have an effect either.
Unlike in the case of other posters neither Mail nor iCal crashes. It just simply does not respond. At present I have two Mail accounts (created in an earlier version, probably Tiger) and no iCal account.
So far I have tried the following:
1) Press "Add account ..." in the File menue instead of pressing the "+" button. Result: No effect.
2) Use disk utility to repair permissions. Result: No effect.
3) Quit Mail; Move ~/Library/Mail, ~/Library/Mail Downloads, ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist to the Desktop; Restart the Computer; Open Mail. Result: New Mail folders are created in ~/Library, a new com.apple.mail.plist is created. My .me account information is automatically recognized but I still cannot create another account, even not my second account that worked before.
4) Create a new user. Result: For the new user I can create at least 3 Mail accounts.
Obviously there is something wrong with my current user account, though I am not aware of any other symptoms. Any ideas how this can be repaired?

Try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. This will not affect your data. The phone will reboot.

Please delete the domain and I already deleted it along with all the 'A Records', 'CNAME Records (Alias)', MX Records', and 'Advanced DNS Records'. Did you ever setup another trial BC site before and attach that domain name? I'm pretty sure that if the domain name is attached to BC's nameservers already even if it's under another account then it won't work. Not 100% sure about it but it's a likely culprit. Try to type the subdomain you are adding into a browser and add "/admin" and see if you can login to BC-- if it's an old site you had setup then you should remove the subdomain from that account first and then try to add it to your newer BC site.
