I'm trying to copy a text layer style, but it's grayed out
All text layers in my file is the same problem. The copy text layer is not available. But I can paste a layer style. I tried on another PSD and same thing. I reset my preferances folder and still no luck. This has happened to me once before, and I can't for the life of me remember what I needed to do to fix it. Anyone know the problem?

Solved it myself and am posting the 'solution' for others that are not frequent users of PS..
I was trying to copy the font and color of my text to a bunch of other text layers. Come to find out that it's not possible (as far as I know) without doing the formatting using blending options. Instead, I used the regular text formatting tools. All's good now.

I am trying to find a way to copy a text layer in one image to another image of the same size so that the text layer is in the exact same location.
Basically I have two images for a rollover button for a website. What is the easiest way to copy a text layer to the other image so that it will be in the exact same location to create the rollover effect?

NickRight click on the layer, Duplicate Layer, set destination to the other image file in the dropdown.

When I type fi in InDesign, the f is deleted. If I hit backspace, the f comes back, but the i is deleted. I even tried to copy the text I need from Word. When I paste it, the f is deleted. I've restarted InDesign and tried a different keyboard.
Try turning off Ligatures in your style.

Tried restarting download from the "Purchases" tab but the app comes out with "an error ocurred " message and I the button next to it is grey without any text or action. Please help, cannot dowload bad piggies game

Click Report a Problem under the app that is having the issue.
When prompted, enter the Apple ID and password you used to purchase the item, then click Report a Problem.
Click Report a Problem next to the item you are having an issue with.
From the Choose Problem dropdown menu, choose the appropriate issue.
Follow the onscreen instructions and—if prompted—type a description of the problem into the text field.
Click Submit to have your issue reviewed.

I am trying to sync my new iPod classic and "Sync" is grayed out
I have tried everything. Updated iTunes, verified my User id and password, nothing is recognizing the "new" used iPod. When I plug it in to the PC, iTunes is not automatically turning on. When I open iTunes, I go to Devcies, but "Sync" is grayed out. Also, the iPod has started to "Connect" to PC and then automatically starts the "OK to Disconnect" without me doing anything at all. I am floored at this point and don't know what else to try. My old iPod was the original Classic from like 2005ish and it's hard drive just went wonky. I never had an issue with it and iTunes at all.

I know having a device you can't use can be frustrating. I have located an article that will walk you through a series of troubleshooting steps:

Warning: Because restoring erases all the songs and files on iPod, back up any files you've saved on the iPod disk. All of your songs, videos, podcasts, audiobooks, and games can be loaded back to your iPod provided that you have them stored in your iTunes Library. If you use the Nike + iPod Sport Kit, see this document for more information.
After you perform the restore, you should attempt to sync your content again. Keep in mind that iPods are meant to sync with one computer and one iTunes library.

I tried creating a new folder and quickly move Newsstand into it, but it is grayed out and cannot be moved. Any other ideas how to get rid of it?

Hi I have downloaded compressor4 from Apps store but it won't open - says compressor not properly installed. The reason for my purchase was that compressor 3 stopped working. I tried to reinstall from the FCP disk but it was 'greyed out'. I followed suggestions from the apple site to clear various library files - mainly relating to Qmaster but this didn't make any difference, an iwonder igf perhaps this is the reason for the compressor 4 programme not working. TomYou need to export a self-contained video from FCP 6. Import the self-contain video into Compressor 4.

Can one copy a text layer's content to the clipboard?
I have searched for this but have been unsuccessful in doing so...I want to be able to either;
a: copy the contents of a text layer to the clipboard so that when saving a file I can simply paste and save or...
b: save a file by the contents in a text layer.
My sole purpose is to make it so I don't have to type the name of a document that is created through data sets. What I have seen so far is that through scripting one cannot copy these things to the clipboard. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you and I hope that I have been thorough enough.You should be able to set up the data set so that the contents of the layer is the data set name. Then you can use File-Export-Data Sets as Files and have it save the files with the data set name.

Firefox doesn't have any built-in ability to display PowerPoint files in a tab. You can check how Firefox is set to handle PowerPoint files in the Options dialog:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Applications
''This list may take a while to load.'' In the search box above the list, you can type pow and let Firefox filter it down. Usually these would say "Always Ask" but you might have customized them to "Use Microsoft Powerpoint".
There are some sites that have a Flash-based PowerPoint viewer, such as OneDrive/SkyDrive and SlideShare. Maybe Gmail has one now, too, I haven't checked. But all such sites also should have a separate download button, either before showing their viewer or as part of the viewer. If there are particular sites where you notice this problem, maybe someone know how to bypass the viewer on that site and go straight to a download. -
Tried to load iDVD from my MacBook onto my new iMac but keep getting a message that it can find any themes. iDVD runs just fine in the MacBook but for some reason when I copied it from the MacBook using a flash drive and download it on the iMac the themes went away. Suggestions?
The themes, when installed, will be in a Themes folder inside the HD/Library/Application Support/iDVD folder. Check there and when you find it copy it to the same folder on your new Mac.
Then go to iDVD's advanced preference pane and point iDVD to the location of the Themes folder:
If you can't find the Themes folder on your old Mac you can do a custom install of iDVD and its resources from the disk that came with the old Mac. It will look similar to one of these:

Help! I have tried to restore both phones to no avail. I can't even turn them off to make them stop blinking. I ket the old one die, then plugged it in and that didn't even work
Restart your computer while holding down left mouse key. That will eject the CD and your Mac will start as normal.
