Contact groups do not allow for group emailing. they are just an organizational tool for the contacts list.

Just to be clear - what domain are you trying to create the group in?
Are you trying to create an AD via WGM because you can't feed changes upwards to AD.
If you're trying to create a group either locally or in OD then that should work as long as you are authenticated. One gotcha in OD is that you can't create a group with the same name as the AD you are bound to but I'm pretty sure trying to do that gives you an intelligible error.

When I click on my contacts icon on my phone there is a Groups choice in the upper left hand corner. Make sure you are in All Contacts and not a specific person.

I have an addon that needs to set the Total (LC) field on the invoice form when a Delivery is copied to an Invoice. In this case, it's $169,978.62. The original Unit Price on the row is $7,000.00, with quantity of 5 MT (selling UoM). After populating the line total field through SDK UI, it calculated discount% to be -385.653. When I press Add, it gives me red bar error "Trying to create a journal entry of the local BP, with foreign amounts [message 3530-11]". This BP uses local currency and there is no foreign currency involved on this document. If I perform the same action through normal UI without SDK, I can add the invoice without a problem. I know it probably has to do with rounding, but how can I get past this error if I have to set the line total through SDK?

Select a contact or your own card, and then double-click the picture well.
Select a picture:
Drag an image to the picture well.
Click Camera to take a picture.
If you have pictures in iPhoto, click the Faces button to use a face from iPhoto.
If the contact is linked (it’s in multiple accounts, but displayed only once in Contacts) and has multiple account pictures, click Linked.
Click Edit to edit the picture.
To zoom in and out of the picture, drag the slider. Drag the picture to change which part of it is visible.
To rotate the picture, hold down the Option key while you click and drag the picture.
To apply special effects, click the Effects Gallery button and choose an effect.
Click Done.

How do I (easily) Create a Group E-mail List

First I want to say that I am not a dummy. I’m pretty tech savvy, but this issue has been making me crazy for a long time. I know that what I am about to describe be has to do (probably) with the fact Mail and Contacts work separately, unlike in Windows products. The whole point of me moving to the Mac from Windows was to make things easier.
I have tried to see if there’s an easy way to create a Group, but I can’t seem to find the handle on this. I repeat, I am not a tech dummy.
Here’s the issue: Every week I send out an e-mail to a group of friends. What I normally do (since I have not found an easier way) is to go to my Send folder, find the previous week’s email, copy all the addresses and paste into the new e-mail.
On all the Help Discussion topics I see in the Apple Forums (I’ve been to many), what it says is that you go to Contacts, Create a New Group, and then click and drag e-mail addresses into the new group. I get it, and I’ve done that for other groups. But this is different.
Is there not a way to simply copy all the addresses from the previous week’s email I sent and copy that into a Group? There are too many names for me to go one by one inside the Contacts app. Moreover, I don’t know all the contacts in the prior week’s list. I’d have to go back and forth between the prior week’s e-mail and my Contacts list, and check names and e-mails, and then drag into the Group.
Please Apple, there has to be an easier way.

I have this same issue. I have over 100 email addresses that I need to add to a group. The issue is not making the group, it's getting the email addresses from Mail to Contacts.
Dragging the email addresses does nothing. You can copy the addresses, but there's nowhere to put them. You can make a VCF for an email address, but then you have to find all of them to add them to the group. How do you automate this?!
I'm astounded that there's so little support for such a common issue for which people have been asking for years.

Problems with trying to create a dynamic pop up list on Forms 9.0.4

Here is the scenario I have:
I have a form with multiple tab pages. On one of those tab pages I have a list item that is intended to produce a list of options when a user clicks on the down arrow icon common to these objects. This list item is not going to be using a LOV to produce its values. Rather: 
 
-We have a query record group, that looks something like: 
Select variable1, variable2 from table1 where variable3 = 'value1'
-We have a WHEN-NEW-BLOCK-INSTANCE trigger in the block with the following code: 
Declare 
 Status NUMBER; 
Begin 
 Status := populate_group('record group'); 
 populate_list ('block name.list item', 'record group'); 
End;
-We have the list item itself with no elements in its palette list, with its type set to List item, with style set to poplist, set to the right tab page, and database column name set to: table2.variable4
There are other things set up too that I can provide info on, but basically you can get the picture of how this is set up. I finished this and it will still not produce any values in pop list. Any ideas how to fix it?

My code turned out fine, but the biggest help was that when you mentioned the fact about "at run-time". Reminded me of something and ultimately, I found the problem at the procedural level in one of the program units. Thanks again for all the help ^^.

Trying to create a document that's an email invite with an embedded link

Well the subject just about says it all... But here goes, I need to create an invitation to a new website. This invite will, I'm sure be forwarded manytimes over. That's why I'm trying to embed the url into the image and everytime I drag the doc into applemail it just comes up as a document icon and won't let me control click view as (it's greyed out) Any direction on this one.

I think it's more a problem with Mail but with Pages.
Pages documents are so-called packages, i.e. folders that contain several files necessary for Pages. That's why you see the icon: Mail tries to send the document as an attachment (and will even zip the document).
Mail by default doesn't allow you to create HTML-mails. You can find a description how to create a newsletter with Pages in this posting: http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=2538151#2558882. Just adopt the steps to your needs.
Another alternative would be to install the Mailpictures bundle for Mail. The advanced preferences option "Show options in compose window" will allow you to use raw HTML in your message.

Trying to retrieve the editValue of a list box selection with multiple selections

I have a requirement to display the text and the value of a multiple choice list box but as soon as there are multiple selections the value displayed is the rawValue.
My code is something like this:
verifSubTaskDescID.addItem(this.editValue);
verifSubTaskDesc.addItem(this.rawValue);
When "this" which is a list box with ["a","first"],["b","second"] is set to a or b it works perfectly, displaying "a" in the ID and "first" in the Desc as follows:
a          first
OR
b          second
but when I select both this list looks like this:
first          first
second     second
Any ideas on how to preserve the letters without making the code too complex or hard to maintain??

you can use a for loop to get all selected values from a choice list.
This could look like this.
This sample script goes to the exie event of the choice list.
It refers to the dataNode which holds the multiple values.
The for loop the then extracts the selected values and their associated display items.

At the top, where you enter the TO: information and the name, under that do you see an area for another TO: entry?

You should create the cache groups by using cachadmin user, not use object owner user.

HT201269 How do I add another contact / recipient to an SMS. Easy in Android, but I can't see how on my 5s. Have to create a group on my Macbook Pro (OS 9.1), but it's not getting synced via usb. I'd prefer not to use cloud.

How do I add a contact / recipient to an SMS on iPhone 5s? It's easy on Android, but I've not sussed it on the iPhone - can't create a group etc. Tried to create a group on Mac, but it either doesn't exist or won't sync to the phone with usb, nor will other contact details created on Mac. I'd rather not use the cloud. I'm sure contacts used to sync to my old iPod touch in Snow Leopard.
Is it not more logical to have the phone as the main source of this sort of data? We're more likely to update on a device we carry all the time surely?

Creating Target group with Bi Query

I am trying to create Target group with BI query, for that I created one query on real time info cube with 0BPARTNER, 0BP_GUID and selected all navigational attributes. In the query info object properties u2013 Advance setting I selecting u201C Values from Master Data Tableu201D & Access Type u201C Master Datau201D , In query Property u2013 selected u201C Allow External Access to Queryu201D
In CRM while creating Data source I can see the In objects selected in the query u2013 selected Business partner info object as 0BP_GUID ,In the attribute list I just selected one item Industry code against the above data source, while running the Segment Builder when I selected the industry code it gives me 0 business partner where as I am having 20 BP with that Industry code.

I have the same issue with my BI Query. Hope you have resolved by now, if you have please do let me know.
What we have done is, created a BI Query and used this query in in CRM datasource, then created some filters where i can see the objects in the query while creating filters in Attributes List. But when we use these filters to create Target group, its not resulting any results in the query, i mean not brining any values on segmentation area. This issue is only in Production as we have already tested in Test and passed without any problems. But in Production we have this issue, i m not sure why this is happening, i spoke to BW team regarding this and they are not sure eitherl. If you know could you please let me know
