I don't want restore everything on my old phone just my pictures/videos...how do I do that without erasing anything from my new phone?

So, I went to Target and upgraded from a 4 to a 4S and the woman there told me she transferred over all of my info off the old phone (which was not true, I'm missing my videos).  So, I've been using my new 4S for about 7 months now and I don't want to erase the information off of it but on my iCloud I still have listed my iPhone4 with 8gigs of information that I cannot access and it's very frustrating.  You would think I'd be able to look at all the data and get what I want but I can't...or can I?  What are my options?
    THANKS SO MUCH!

It is set to "Open ITunes when connected to computer" and "manually manage music and videos".  How can I do that without losing some of the features of those two?   I just want to add a feature.  Thanks

Settings>Store (or iTunes & App Stores if you are running iOS6)>Apple ID. Tap your son's ID and sign out. Sign in with your ID and password.
You shouldn't lose the music, but if you try to update any apps that you bought with the family ID, you will have to use that password that is linked with that ID in order to update.
Avoid downloading past purchased content with the old ID if you can since you will associate the iPad with the old ID for 90 days and you will lock yourself out of your own, new ID for that period of time. Read more about associated devices in iTunes here.

As Niel stated, you cannot merge them.
You can keep the purchased items in your iTunes library and use them with no issues.
Just pick one of the AppleIDs and stick with that one.

  • I had over 200 e-mails.  I went to my webmail and deleted most of them.  However, my iPhone still shows 200 e-mails.  How can I force my iPhone to update from the e-mail server?  Or will I have to delete each e-mail from my iPhone as well?  Thanks.

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
To begin with, I would like to try to explain Apple's confusing nomenclature in regard to iCloud.
Apple have called the whole cloud thing iCloud, there are a number of features under the iCloud umbrella, some of which require their own login. iTunes is one of these, another is what Apple have unfortunately also called iCloud.
You can use the same Apple ID (account) to login to both iCloud and iTunes, but you don't need to and often users will login to each service using a different ID.
The part that you need to remember is that the services available when you log into iCloud are completely different and unrelated to those when you log in to iTunes. Your iCloud login enables mail, contacts, calendars, find my phone, Back to My Mac, Documents & Data sharing and photosstream, it does not affect any of your iTunes services.
To avoid confusion when discussing your problem, when I mention iCloud, I am referring to the services under the iCloud login, Whereas I will refer to the whole cloud thing as The Cloud.
Pin order to share photos using photostream you need to log into the same iCloud account on both devices, videos are not included in photostream, but other third party apps such as Dropbox and video stream for iCloud can share video between your devices.

  • I have a balance in my iTunes account but would like to pay by credit card. How do I do that?

How do I pay by account's credit card instead of balance in my credit from gift card?

I'm in exactly the same situation -- I just got a big gift card on my iTunes account, and then American Express sent the 5 free songs offer, which expires in a few weeks.  I found the following instructions from someone on another website.  I haven't tried them myself but they look like they'll work.
According to Apple's page, it uses the following order for song purchases:
    Song credits.
Gift certificate, prepaid card, or allowance credits.
    Credit cards.
Thus, it would appear that you cannot charge a credit card without using up your credits or gift certificates first. However, similar to what @Nick said, you could just open up another account, add the credit card to it, and then gift the items you want to your original account.Update: Based on my own tests of self-gifting, these are my findings:
Gifts will deduct money from the credit card on your account; they will not use up song credits nor gift card credit. This means that you do not need to open another account, just add it as a credit card and gift it to yourself.
You cannot send a gift to the same email address as your iTunes account. This can easily be circumvented by sending it to one of your other email accounts.
The easiest method of gifting to yourself is to select the print option. It will show you a code which you then use to redeem the song. It will allow you to redeem the code on thesame account.

  • How can I delete an old Itunes account?

How can I delete an Itunes account that is an old email address that is no longer accessible I cannot play some tunes on itunes that were autorizes with that email account ?

You cannot delete an account. Even if you did, you cannot move the items bought with an account to another.  The e-mail address used for the account name is just an identifier. If you changed the contact e-mail address in the account settings it would send e-mail to the new address.
If the account is truly inaccessible, contact service to see if they can help you with this.

  • I am trying to delete my old iCloud account without a password

    Hi,
I am trying to delete an iCloud account.  It sounds easy, but for some reason when I updated my iPad to iOS7, the iCloud reverted back to an old Apple ID that had been deleted and is no longer active (Apple no longer has a record of it when I try to get the email verification to change the password).  When I attempt to delete the account (to connect it to my current iPhone iCloud) it requests the Apple ID password for the deleted account.
I tryed to reset the iPad, and delete all the data on the iPad and start fresh, but of course I had the "Find my iPad" function on the iCloud and I need the Apple ID password to turn it off to start the reset.  Any suggestions?

Go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • ITunes library 'attached' to an old email address.  Had to replace my iMac with a PC.  trying to play my music from my old iTunes library, but it's saying it's not authorized.  how do I get all my music playable on my new pc?

I had an iMac G5 that I loved, but ultimately it wouldn't start up. I replaced the popped caps on the logic board, and it ran for a little while, then died again.  I was able to back up my stuff including my iTunes library before it finally died.  I couldn't afford a new mac and I had to buy a PC.  I moved my library over, but the playlists are all gone, and when I try to play songs, it says the computer isn't authorized to play the music.  I authorized via the iTunes Store menu, but my Store/Apple account is not the same email address as the older email address tied to the songs which I purchased years ago.  Can I change the email address attached to these songs or add an old/inactive email address to my Apple account somehow?
I know this is probably confusing.  I wish I could afford a new mac. any help is appreciated.

It does not magically appear in a new place.  It will only be where you put it.
