Is this a new account? Even though its a free app the account holder needs to be verified by a verifiabel payment method. Once the account is created, you can remove the info.

Apps are always associated with the Apple ID that was used to purchase them. This cannot be changed. To avoid getting the request you are seeing delete all apps that request the former Apple ID and download them again.
Any apps for which you paid a fee will require that you purchase them again. -

Ive just got an iPhone 4 and succesfully downloaded one free app. However i cannot download any more free apps because it is asking for billing information.

You Apple ID is not tied to a free account. The only way to create a free account is by downloading iTunes to your computer, then go to the App store with in iTunes, find a free App then click on the word free. There it will prompt you to enter your Apple ID or create an account. Select create an account. From there you can move forward with creating a free account. Next to the Credit card (on the second page of the set up) options will be a Free Box instead. Let me know if you need help with how to make your current account free. Trying to buy a game, but it keeps asking for billing info.
Hello, I recently tried to buy Napoleon: Total War, but cannot. I have enough money and my apple ID is valid but something is wrong. Every time I click on the buy button under the app, it asks me for my billing info, as per usual. Then it brings me to a screen with my billing info and everything is OK (yes, I selected no credit card). After I click 'OK' to the billing, it asks me if I would like to continue with my purchase, so I click 'buy', then the process repeats itself. It asks for my password, the billing info, and so on and so forth.
This was never happened before and is extremely frustrating. Not only is the app expensive but I can't even download it!
Please help.How much credit do you have in your account? How much does the game cost? Is this in the US store? US store prices do not include local sales taxes. If you do not have enough in your account's balance to cover both the cost of the game and the local sales taxes that are added to the sale in the final steps of the purchase, the system will ask for a credit card to cover the remaining balance due on the sale.

I restored my ipod to its orginal settings and checked for it to be backed up. When it was done restoring i tried backing it up and it said to enter the password. I didn't know if it was my itunes password or what so i entered several and it said they were all wrong. So which password is it?

"Disk cannot be read from or written to" error syncing iPod in iTunes.
If nothing else works, you could try a format of the iPod in Windows. A full format does a check and remap of bad sectors on the iPod hard drive, and you would need to restore the iPod as normal (using the iPod updater) afterward. This can also work when the iPod is recognized by the computer, but not by the updater. It's usually a last ditch troubleshooting effort.
First, put the iPod into forced disk mode.
See: How to put the iPod into disk mode.
On your PC, go "my computer" and right click on the iPod, then choose "format". Ensure the settings are at "default" and that "quick format" is not checked. Now select "format". It will take a while, but when that's finished, restore the iPod using the updater.
If you need to, reset the iPod to exit disk mode. -

If you had money in your account when you purchased a paid app and Apple didn't claim on the payment to your bank until after the download it maybe that there was insufficient balancce in your account to complete the purchase and therefore you'll need to wait until you have the funds to make the payment, when you have billing issues it won't even let you download free apps.
If that isn't the case then give iTunes store a call or email them and they can tell you exactly what is wrong with the account -
