OK, Today I went ahead & booted & tried again & it worked this time.
Not sure why it didn't yesterday. Maybe the servers were just overloaded? Several others reported similar.
Also yesterday when I ran Speedtest it showd download at about 25 mbps, This morning just before I re-started the download it was showing just above 30 mbps. So maybe the internet was less busy? Or at least the parts between me & the test server.
& so far it is working ok.

Icloud cannot be used to increase internal memory of ipads, otherwise nobody would buy more expensive 32, 64, 128 gigabyte versions. Hype with "movies in the cloud" is more of itunes store, keeping movies available for you in order to download on any device. That does not go against your storage in the cloud, though.
So if you go to your computer and you purchased movie ( not rented ) you can download and watch.
There is something else to pay attention to, your ipad (if I am not mistaken) is not capable to run HD movies, make sure you do buy Standard Definition, and they will take less space on ipad.

Tap to retry to download and when it starts attempting to download again tap on the pause button. Once it is paused, tap the button again to resume the download. However you need to be really fast doing this!

I have firefox and I went to download my movies on a website and it won't download them because I need IE plug-in for Firefox for the 5.0 version need help on this one.

i downloaded a movie off of itunes and it downloaded but wont sync it says the ipod is synced with another itunes library do you want to erase this ipod and sync with this itunes library .an ipod can be synced with only one itunes library at a time erasing and syncing replaces the contense of this ipod with the contense with this itunes library does that mean that if i sync the movie it will erase everything on the ipod and only put the movie and if it does can i put it back on with the movie still on it

You can do it by manually managing music and videos. See:

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar.
To sync to your iPod go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions

Tried to back up music before new OS was loaded but for some reason, it only kept artists through the letter J. I did not realize that until I restored my iTunes under new OS. Now I tried to download my iTunes purchases from the iPod and I can select the "Transfer Purchases from iPOD" but then nothing seems to happen. This is either because I did originally download them to this computer on the old operating system or because the names are still in iTunes even though the file associated with them is not.
